Great and helpful advice. You have made me reconsider getting a crested gecko due to their nocturnal nature. What are your thoughts on either lechianus gecko, emerald tree skink, uromastyx or chuckwalla as a beginner reptile pet?
They are more crepuscular. Mine are all super active during the day.

They should be housed alone
Generally they prefer being alone! I would only house them together for breeding purposes or if you’re a very experienced keeper
My crested geckos are very active during the day. I think they are more cupuscural.
🤔 how do chameleon geckos compare to crested geckos in terms of jumpiness/flightiness in your experience
I’ve found them to be a bit less jumpy than cresties!
My first reptile was a crested gecko and he is the meanest reptile I own 😂 he’s such a little jerk but I love him anyways
Sometimes that’s how it is 😂 my children’s python is the same way. She’s a total jerk but I love her for it hahaha
