Thought you might like to know the Poker House Dallas is having a $5-$10 Big-O(Congress) game with an optional $25 "Dallas Straddle" on the button coming up on Feb 3. They are going to live stream the game, and have at least one feeder table going as well. Buggsy from PHD is organizing it. If you end up going, tell them "Sticky Mike" sent you!
That first hand against Robert where he scoops was awesome! That last land against Robert where he never filled up sucked! Oh well! It was still fun playing against you guys!
very interesting analysis on that JJ7 hand where you are reading your two conservative opponents with shared side cards (i.e A2). The thought never even occurred to me as I was watching the Vid probably 'cause I have never played Big O. But how do you handle similar spots in PLO? Let's assume that both you and your two opponents are playing somewhat deep. I tend to play very cautiously in this spot knowing that my opponents between them could have up to 18 outs against me and what's more, I generally would have very little idea what side cards they may have. How do you generally approach this spot - somewhat conservatively or aggressively given that you will be getting 2:1 on all flop bets.
Excellent question! The way the hand played out I don’t think I would play it any differently in plo being deep. When the first opponent goes all in for essentially a min click, and the 2nd opponent flats - I know it’s impossible for both of them to have J7. The mistake in the hand was the player who was deep just flat calling. He should of re-raised which would of caused me to fold. Since he flatted I knew he didn’t have the full house (I was more worried on the turn that the 3 gave him a full house). But for the most part if you are deep with two opponents; it really depends on your opponents style how I would play back at them….. just the way the hand played out - knew they both couldn’t have J7!
I have always felt safe playing at RCG - max rake is 5 bucks per pot. And keep in mind I think half or 1/3 goes to charity! I don’t know the exact amount that goes to charity but I think it’s better than going in the pockets of a large casino!
As an experienced player I would think you understand your 67 is not worth much. You are always going to be getting free rolled. They may not have a way to make a better high hand, but they always have half locked up so not a good spot to be in.
Yeah - I liked it better 4 ways but on the turn when I have an SPR of 1:1 not much I can do! I just figured on the turn we got it in regardless of what draws were out there - was just a little shocked that I was scooped when he said nut nut- and I’m holding the king! Lol. Ty for the comment and Ty for watching!
He is pretty tight - but believe it or not I’m encouraging him more to take stabs at things!!!! He’s more comfortable doing that in tournaments than cash games…. And when we do our weekly virtual MUG he tends to play a little looser….
@@stephpom5373 I think they may be exaggerating just slightly - I think most of his sessions are 4-5 hours. But I feel ya there are times where he may play only 1 or 2 hands an hour
As you know Chris sometimes when ya get it all in your stomach can turn!!!
