    I just made the first mistake yesterday called the all in with A 10 suited against QQ for 92dollars hoping to hit the royal flush . Which was a big blunder

      The good news is that you recognized your mistake.
      I have been guilty of this in the past as well.
      Trying to hit the royal is never a good idea preflop, even if they have a massive jackpot for it. Chances are extremely small to hit it. Just focus on your equity. ATs is not terrible in this spot, but still not good enough to call.

    Folded TT in a similar situation to the AJ one. The big difference was I had a very competent player on my left as well. I hadn't realized that TT HU would actually have been about break even (I had the line at JJ and AK in my mind). Multiway it was debatable, but I hated being OOP against the guy for a side pot. Maybe longterm it is -EV but I just thought I'd make more mistakes than he would so took the small loss.
    Results were AK6 on the flop, two blanks on the runout....competent player showed AK and small stack mucked.

    2:38 villain is never jamming AA here. And probably not KK. They didn’t short stack and wait all day for AA to win 12 by ms,ima you fold. A more accurate range is 77-JJ/QQ. AJ+ And some broadways.

      That's a fair point. It doesn't change that much in terms of whether this is a call or not, but you are right that we shouldn't give him all combos of AA/KK. That said, I would still give him some. There are definitely players who would shove here, especially with KK.

    6:11 bet 1.5 pot on turn get called. Jam river? On a board this dry with no draws lol. Good luck with that strategy long term. You need villains range to be top pairs, sets AND draws to make this profitable long term. On this board they only have top pairs or over pairs or sets. No draws. Your hourly will get wrecked doing this.

      On this one, I'm not sure what you mean. Why does he have top pair? You think he called KX on the flop to then turn top pair? And why wouldn't he have 2nd pair, 3rd pair, a low pocket pair, Ace high?
      There are of course players who won't even fold bottom pair to a 1.5x overbet, but I think the majority of players will not call such a big bet (especially because they tend to put you on AK).

    8:36 but what if the villain is me, who blasts on a wet card

    • @LivePokerGuide
      @LivePokerGuide  5 дней назад +1

      I'd be more inclined to call, but I would still ask myself: what did you call my big bets with that's now a bluff? The only thing is that better players are capable of turning top pair into bluffs, which is why I would consider calling.

      Player dependent, no?
      If we see someone blasting on wet cards we do have a decision to make.

      @@HenryGuessed-g3e Well yeah, exactly. That's what I said/meant. But it still hard to find natural bluffs, so I would be asking myself if this opponent is capable of turning a good pair into a bluff.

    Improve fast:
    1. Mindlessly call small all-ins
    2. Stop cold calling
    3. Use overbets
    4. Don’t bluff catch big river bets

    200 bb deep at 1/2 and you get a couple limpers....$12 raise is lighting money on fire. Should be going like 20 at least

    could block bet with your set of Kings, maybe like 60-80$ Then if you get raised you know it is an auto fold.

    • @LivePokerGuide
      @LivePokerGuide  2 дня назад

      Yes, that can work - as long as you are disciplined enough to fold to a raise. And you have to realize that it is quite a thin value bet, but I can see us getting called by weaker hands, so it is fine.
