sooo cute! i was going to go this but then I heard that sand isn’t the best as it gets in their fur and when they groom themselves they end up ingesting a lot of sand which can lead to GI stasis… I’m going to try and do a digging box but with paper and cardboard ❤
While I understand your concern, I don't think they have either many issues with it or don't look after themselfs in that way. I am not an expert so this is just speculation.
I sadly do not know the full breed, but there is definitely a bit of lionhead in there. Mostly likely a mix of lionhead and Netherlands Dwarf. The lionhead part was more visible 3/4 years ago.
The sand used is 'Play sand', all of our bunnies have been playing with it for the whole summer and they've all had zero issues. Many people do recommend regular sand, but I doubt it matters a lot what kind of sand, but I can't be certain.
I've not used sand I used soil but very happy to know sand is safe ;). We had the same planter like this as its bigger than the sand shells usually used so more Binkying room my boy loved it

As long as you can brush it off it’s fine another alternative would be soil I guess
I didn’t know that :/ so we need like natural safe dirt somehow
Such cute ❤️🐇❤️👍
So happy!
What an adorable lil bunbun❤ I'm always scared they would get sand in there eyeballs...but no one seems to have that problem?!?

@@MrSuperSanderDev : Whatever breeds little bun's ancestors were they've resulted in a beautiful mix.
Does the bunny have a black coller on the back when you got her? Cause mine was missing and he had a black coller on the back
What kind of sand did you use .. and was bunny okay after? I’ve been wanting to do a dig box but I’ve been seeing mixed reviews about the safety
