I love these tips. Thanks! My rabbit's favourite thing is her treat ball. She gets so excited, she grabs it by the hole with her mouth and runs away with it before starting to push it around.
Great video and great topic!! ❤️ Boredom breakers are so important. Bunnies are naturally curious creatures, so I've found one of the best boredom breakers for my buns is to put random bunny-safe items in the middle of the room and let them explore. I change it up each time so they never know what to expect. Maybe a box, or several boxes turned different ways or even stacked, maybe a tunnel, a dig box, a chair, or I create a mini-fort with a sheet or small blanket. I only do this every few days and only leave it out for a few hours while they're active. Just helps to keep things interesting! I also change out/ rotate their toys each day, also stacking or combining them in different ways. I use lots of bunny-safe cat toys, baby toys, cups, containers, lids, etc. (Hard plastic that they can't chew). Oh, and jenga blocks!!! Stacking them in different ways, combining them with the other toys, and letting the buns knock them over... They love it! 💕🙂
PLEASE READ! a video on how to take care of your bunny after in contracts a sickness would be so amazing. I lost 2 bunnies to sniffles, my first bunnies, and i have one left ill do anything for. she was already at the vet and had antibiotics, but im not completely sure how to care for a bunny woth a respiratory illness and what disinfectants kill the pasteurella bacteria strain. this led to me losing my other buns even after they got meds, it was too late. If i would have know about some very common illnesses that strike rabbits and aftercare after receiving meds, maybe i could have done more. I dont know the aftercare for rabbit with a respiratory illness. this information could truly help sp many people in the future
My buns absolutely LOVE tearing boxes to shreds! I just give them a regular Amazon box and they will work on tearing it up for hours! It’s a little messy with all the shreds but their love digging at it and tearing it apart!
Willow baskets are a fantastic idea. Thanks for that! A while back we got our two buns a forage blanket and stacking cups and they are absolutely obsessed!
Definitely going to try your tips on my 2 buns! They are sweet bonded brothers but love chewing on everything you mentioned in this video. Appreciate all the wonderful advice you always have for us 💖❤️
Great tips!! My bunnies also love willow toys and leaves. I love the idea of putting hay in the willow basket. I also give them a frozen water bottle in a sock to help them keep cool in the summer. The foraging mat and toys are great ideas. CB is lucky to have such a bunderful bunny mom! 💗🐰
Cinnabun is an adorable bunny 😊 🐰 🐇 😍 💖 💕! She enjoys searching for yummy treats to eat! Nom, nom, munch, crunch! Have a great Sunday, Cinnabun! Bunnies RULE!
Cinnabun looks so happy! She is super cute too! Glad she is doing well. I am having trouble finding something for my bunny to dig around in, I don't want to put him outside with a digging pen (dirt or sand filled baby pool) because he hates going outside. When I gave him an uptured cardboard box with paper scraps inside, he peed and pooped in it. I also made him a wooden board, with many holes drilled in it and some sisal rope tied in the holes (looks like a strange cross stitch project gone wrong) but he just stared at it and didn't know what to do with it.
my bun did the same thing. He would use his dig box as a litterbox. I put blankets in his favorite dig spots and I hold them in place with paperweights/ rocks/dumbells/etc. and he digs in the blankets
@@jaxonscootz he does have a towel under his couch stairs, (I call it his basement) and he seems to like pushing the towel around; was hoping to find something to help naturally wear down his nails more so I don't have to get them trimmed as often. Will keep looking :)
hey morgan! i have a supppper fluffy bunny, i bought him 5 months ago, straight away knew i wanted to give this bunny an amazing life, so i bought him a dog xpen for night time and the rest of the day free roam, but without your videos i probably would of never done that and he is always binkying and i just wish he could thank you for all the help you have given us!
My rabbits absolutely *LOVE* playing with the *treat* *ball* . This toy is the main reason I just had to make a video sharing it. I give my rabbits their daily pellets in the treat ball and it sure gives them something to do for a while. I'm happy to see Cinnabun has one. Really helpful video❣️
We love your videos! They have been so helpful to us as a new bunny family. I swipe little tiny bits of banana onto pine cone scales and this keeps our buns occupied for a while and helps with their teeth.
I think it's important to add that boredom of buns can lead to depression. I spend a lot of time with my bunny, he roams around as he pleases, so if he wants attention he just comes to me. We have evening snuggles and morning zoomies on bed. Also when I'm doing something but he wants attention NOW he would chew on the wall, it's one behaviour that I can't teach him that's bad. He's very impatient 😂 He also has toys, but his favourites are boxes, he also likes his food dispenser ball. I ordered him willow balls, we'll see if he wants to play with them.
Stacking cups, lol. I put a few pellets in each cup. Caye da Other Bunny grabbed the bottom cup and gave a hard shake, and the other cups and pellets went flying all over the room. She did spend 20 minutes hunting down each pellet, so not a total loss.
I made a dig box for my bun and he confused it for a litterbox and it took me at least a week to even notice. Obviously, I took the box away and don't use them anymore but he would go to the bathroom in the same spot for a few days after I took it away.
Great video with lots of ideas to avert bunstruction. I appreciate the last segment especially about the need for human-rabbit and rabbit-rabbit interactions.
I take home big sheets of shipping packing paper from work and fold it up and put it under my recliner, anchoring it on the legs. He loves to go under there and dig and rip up the paper. 👍🐰
Totally agree with everything! To give your bunny appelsticks is my nest best tips and my nr 1 tips is getting your bunny a bunnyfriend. That is number one for me
I have their old hooded litter box in my cellar. I could turn that into a digging box 🤔 I'm always scared that they'll just decide that it's a new toilet tho
So I am a new bun mom and I have been wanting to make my bun a dig box except I’m worried, because whenever he can get access to paper, he eats it, and I don’t want him to eat too much of it, because obviously trees are not naturally white so the paper has to be bleached white with chemicals that can’t be very good for him to eat so if you have any substitutes for paper, he might like just as much that would be great. ❤

I have become a contortionist (and I am not in my teens or twenties like many in the comments section). Hi, I was curious if like a 1 moth or 2 month bunny could have forge and can they also have treats at there age and when do you think I can start to introduce veggies 6 or 7 month?
My rabbit let me know she was bored by giving me a terrible scare. She's a Flemish Giant who has free roam privileges going on about a year now. She is well fed and has continuous access to hay and gets rations of greens and plenty of attention. A few weeks ago she smelled some herbs (rabbit safe) that I was drying on our dining room table and managed to figure out how to use a nearby chair to jump up onto the table and start scarfing my herbs. She has never tried to jump on the table before and it is not rabbit proofed at all and has junk and a houseplant on it, so I promptly put her back on the floor and blocked her jump point with another chair. I thought the issue was resolved but the next evening I heard a terrible crash. I ran into the dining room and found that she had tried to jump on the table again despite the obstacle but failed badly. She was now limping on her front leg and her head was tilted at an unnatural angle. I was horrified. She declined to eat anything but a soft bit of pear. I panic called every pet ER within an hours drive but none had an exotic pet provider in that evening. I was devastated and made her as comfortable as I could for the evening. Fortunately the next morning she had improved and was no longer limping. Her chewing and head tilt normalized over the course of the next few days. I think she is in the clear now. Anyway, long story short, I learned that she is a bit like the T-Rex in Jurassic Park. She doesn't want to be fed, she wants to hunt. Now I create a scavenger hunt for her every evening with her allotment of treats. I place small bits of treats in places she can access safely all around the house. She loves it! Her nose goes into overdrive sniffing out the morsels and I can tell she gains a sense of accomplishment when she locates the bits without any help. I hope this gives her a reason not to try jumping on the table again. I like the suggestions in this video too! I'll have to try some of these for her to keep a variety of entertainment going 😁 Sorry for the long comment!
