I love how she said, “I didn’t have time for a dog”, and at the same time, “I spent hours per day sitting with him”. 😂 Spoken like a true animal lover.
You don't have to spend time walking a bunny twice a day, or take them to the bark park or play dates, or give them baths or take them to the groomer. They don't bark and annoy neighbors. They're fastidious and toilet trainable. She invested a lot of time earning his trust, but I don't think it's the same as for a dog.
So correct!!! All these people saying u can't just sit with a dog don't realise that if u have time to sit for hours with a rabbit u will also have time to do everything with a dog also only if u have enough love and dedication.
That is a bunny living HIS BEST LIFE. I wish that so much for everyone, especially those reading this right now. This is soooo inspiring to me. Bunnies the world over don't have it so good. It is time for their dreams to come true too.
I love my baby boy but he is not this cuddly. I can pet him and lay with him and it’s zipper cute but picking him up is big no hahah but we love him so much ❤️ completely free roam around the house
I agree. I don’t know how your conversation landed on this phone. However, I am a bunny person. I just took a new rescue to the vet. After a nail trimming and having her teeth checked, she seems so content. This is her third week in her new home. She is curious and explores her surroundings.
I had a rabbit named Wendell . He lived for over 10 years. He was very smart and would spend time with me working on my car and watching tv. He knew his name and would come when I called him. I miss him
I feel your pain my friend. I lost my sweet boy just over a year ago and the heartache still hasn't gone away. When I reminisce about him and think about his antics, his joy and his love I always end up smiling and being grateful for the time I had with him. He was someone's "trash", but he was my TREASURE. Who knows, maybe our boys are doing binkies and zoomies together over the RBB. 🙂✌️
I feel for you... I just lost my 10 and a half year old rabbit to old age, only a month ago... His name was Sunny and he was such a good bunny (I would often tell him so), He liked my dogs, and would even put my cat in its place! He was a fearless little bundle of fluff and a miss him dearly.
I had a rabbit called Arrow, he was mostly an angry boy, most of my family struggled to pick him up or pet him but not me. He died of cancer too young 😞 Some years later my family had a rabbit that was real smart. One evening I was watching TV and he was outside in his mostly wire run, he was running back and forth but kicking the wooden end board to make a noise. There was a fox looking at him that he needed me to scare off!
@@caroltomlin8822 he was an angry boy before the cancer. He ran around the garden pretty well and loved all his food, if he was in pain before the cancer I don't know what the cause would have been.
I knew a bunny named Oreo when I worked at the Humane Society in Lincoln, NE. Calmest rabbit I ever knew. You's put him on your lap, and he'd just sit there and let you pet him. When he got adopted, I was both happy and sad at the same time.
Hmm. I wonder if Oreo was California Rex, which has characteristic white fur with black extremities. They're the most catlike of our domestic bunnies. They'll hop up to you and push their head under your hand to be petted, and they do like being lap bunnies. :)
I used to have a pet bunny who looked very similar to Oreo. He was very sweet and caring. Once I was really depressed and was crying and he came up to me, bumped me with his head and tried to cuddle me to console me. I loved my Bun Bun.
My three month old rabbit _loves_ his cuddles with us. It's the cutest thing. He'll also zoom around the living room, do his happy binky jumps, and roll onto his side while lying in my arm to sleep. I love him so much
I have 10 bunnies, so I can vouch for everything she said! Getting groomed by a bunny is the highest honour, it's how they say "I love you". Binkies and flops are always so much fun to see! 🐰😍
I will 2nd what someone else said--PLEASE have them all spayed/neutered. There are too many animals as it is. Most bunnies do not live this kind of charmed life and end up in bad situations and put outside where they do not belong.
You , your husband and Oreo have fantastically good karma to find each other. They say the act of giving and loving is its own reward, but how amazing it is when you receive love as you're giving it. Your family will remain blessed in this constant state of affection!

They truly are the most loving and caring little animals, I am always astonished by the intelligence and love that my little guy gives every moment of every day. I've had mine since he was a baby rescued from a neglectful farm, and he follows me around like a dog and insists on being close and 'grooming' me. So sad that rabbits are so often neglected with poor living conditions, misunderstood, and often either abandoned outside or taken to a shelter where they are often one of many already waiting for a home. Please only consider a bunny in your home if you have taken all of their care, daily cost and potential medical costs into consideration as well. They are so so loving, but also can be a handful and not all bunnies have the same temperament as shown in this video just like all other animals and humans alike. If you do have space in your home, and the time and care to give them then I'd urge adoption from a place rather than from a breeder or pet store, so many bunnies need loving homes :)

I live almost next to my two youngest grandchildrens school and my last rabbit would sit on the flat top of the front garden wall eagerly anticipating home time. I swear she made friends with every child and every parent leaving that school. Every school afternoon all the children would rush out of the gate to be the first to reach her. She loved it and this went on for three years. Then one day she simply keeled over and died. We had had some very hot days and despite every effort to keep her cool she would thump violently to be allowed out to greet the children. I believe it was her undoing. One hot morning I went out with some fresh green veg and she seemed fine. One hour later when I went out to her again she had passed away. I will never forget that afternoon when all the children came rushing out and she wasn't there. I had to take my two grandchildren aside and gently explain. As soon as they started crying the older children at the gate realised and they too were very upset. The word spread very quickly and the street was full of crying children, parents and grandparents. @@shecat1964 Oh no question about it. It sickens me so bad when I read an animal abuse story. I really just don’t understand what people get out of harming an innocent animal. These are the sites I like with good people on and having a positive attitude. Very cool.
Bunnies have definitely taught me about letting people earn your trust as they are prey animals so you really have to get on their level. You just don't grab them for a hug.
Oreo looks really happy and healthy. It would be great if he had a bunny friend, because he is a herd animal. Please consider finding a companian for him. By the way, that porch is amazing, I envy you for that!

Both my kitties are adopted as well 💗💗
This teaches me about trust, when to give it, and when to give it up. Thank you!
I absolutely love this video and adore that bunny !!! His environment is crazy awesome and thoughtfully created custom for the new family member. Good people and the only kind I surround myself with.
Quote from my dad looong ago, “Never ever trust anyone who is not kind to animals.” Was that ever the best lesson and 100% factual.
👍🏼💪🏼🎉🌈❤️😎
Great and true advice, that I also live by.

Indeed 😉
@Michelle McLoughlin Love it. What I appreciate most about this particular advice is that it’s only served from folks with genuine love and empathy for living beings. You know??? Tried and true advice from the heart.
I was raised to know that wisdom too. Animal people are also more empathetic.
Love this video! ♥️🐇❤️ - love to see when people love animals so much! Love when he is jumping around and stalking the cups! What a smart bunny!
Awww what a wonderful couple. Lucky bunny to have such wonderful fur parents ❤️🙂
What an amazing home Oreo has and an amazing mum and dad too!. ♡︎♡︎
There is something really special when a bunny will lie down beside you and snuggle or give you affection.
So sweet. What great rabbit parents and wonderful message about adopting! Thank you!
He's so adorable love him ❤❤❤
So enlightening💡 I had no idea what bunnies were like to have as pets. And this woman is so sweet and adorable ☺️ Giving so much love to this happy bunny♥️
