Very true Holly. I was driving home and found a bunny on the road in the middle of the night.. i was afraid he might die, so took him and raised until he was big enough like the size of a grown cat. My parents are overprotective and they would not let me keep him. I released him in the wild just like 2 days ago, now that I miss him so much, i am him everywhere all over my house. That unconditional love and bond are something else. I hate my parents for making me do this.

I noticed cats are extremely hard to maintain after they are 10+ years old, mine is almost 20 years old and its very demanding everyday but she is family and I love her deeply, I can only imagine rabbits could also get that hard when they get 8+ years older?

8-10 years, sometimes 12-14 if you are lucky
Main thing is feed them lots of good quality hay and greens, give them plenty of space to roam and always a place to hide, they are prey animals and are always worried about being eaten
They are really not small kid pets, they are too fragile and they should never be stuck in cages unless it's inside as a security measure for short periods of time

Ohhh, this is beyond sweet...although Aaron modestly described his life as lacking responsibility, it's obvious the young fella did have responsibility within him, just perhaps had nothing especially to direct it at. Then, completely randomly, comes along this bunny...the fact he even tried to locate the owner (despite probably already starting to bond with the fluffball) really shows how responsible he really is. How lovely the little creature has just encountered Aaron....they both deserve each other ❤

Thank you so much for taking in this bunny and letting him be himself (ie. chewing on everything....lol) and still being kind and chill despite that 😊This story should be a warning to all people who get pets just because or because kids are asking for it, without researching their needs and longevity. Having a pet is a long term commitment. Please do not get a pet if yu are not able to commit, care for them, love them & give them all they need till the rest of their lives.

As a bunny loving bunny owner myself, this video warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes! Bunnies are such sweet, loving, social animals. The saddest thing is that most people keep bunnies in cages and so they never get to really know the bunny. Yes, they are mischievous and a bit destructive, they take a bit of work, but their sweetness and silly antics make it worth it. Thank you for taking this sweet boy into your home....restores my faith in humanity!
