This navigation mode just irritates me. I spent hours trying to adjust the direction, but at a certain point, it seems like it bugged out the direction. No matter where I placed the sail, it stopped approaching the mark and kept infinitely distancing itself from it.

You're correct, the blue marker was reset and in front around 2000m past overshoot. Thanks for this essential guide.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! This is the most helpful/reassuring (in terms of the overshooting/resetting feature) video I've ever seen for Raft! I have been so worried about overshooting quest islands as I've been struggling with navigation, and this answered every question I had.
