The Great Unknown The Book of Souls (2015) Iron Maiden Lyrics on screen I don't own this song Enjoy the video and share it with your friends! Thanks for watching
Adrian Smith is one of the most underrated guitar player! His solos are always pertinent! Better than thousands shredders displaying their lifeless techniques😉
Most of the comments are spot on! Iron Maiden has ALWAYS been great musically but they tell a story in each and every song not many bands even today can claim that. So dam epic it blows my mind.
Iron Maiden usually has fairly ambiguous lyrics, so no one interpretation is necessarily correct or incorrect, but when I went into this song I initially thought it would be about the age of exploration, or maybe the daunting task of exploring space. But later on down the song it occurs to me that The Great Unknown (title drop) isn't a place to be explored but the great unknown that has come over us AFTER the age of exploration, the times of change and uncertainty that are the natural result of our infinite lust for expansion and advancement, where we have now passed the threshold where we can never go back to our old ways ("It will never be the same or calm again") and enter a new and terrifying age with heavy hearts.
extraordinary song, I close my eyes and I feel being in an endless universe full of mystery, tales, religion. same feeling for all songs of this album. A masterpiece!
Love this song. I'm so happy they released such a mindblowing album. Bruce`s vocals, as always, are great. And Nicko's drums are straight up magnificent.
Iron Maiden the gods of heavy metal, their amazing music and very poetic and truthful lyrics, is really too good....they´ve never sold out, always true to their craft....and we should be ever so grateful to them for sharing this epic moment....
40 fucking years and still the best !

This song, and Starblind on the previous album are so under-rated.
what I find is that this album is full of intelligent music and lyrics. Its poetry.

I really like this song, it has grown on me. It sort of reminds me of Starblind, which was my favourite song from The Final Frontier.
Such an underrated song from this album. Also, one of the best choruses they've ever done, too!
One of the best lyrics ever written.
this song is one of my favourite ever Maiden songs.
they shouldve named this album the book of solos
Favorite off the new album. That chorus is just too epic

40 years Iron Maiden has rocked us and I expect they will until the end......UP THE IRONS
Sounds like a great song of a matter of life and death
Best part:
love the guitar in this and the bass. maiden have something special about their music that no other band can make you feel.
amongst the best songs of the album. It can be even better played Live.
