I remember this very distinctly because I had no clue who this guy was, and folk at work and in the neighbourhood were all making sure I knew the quickest, and alternate ways to Poland “just in case”. They told me three things about him that I remember distinctly. 1. He had been sqcked for corruption from St Petersburg mayor office. 2. He was the richest kleptocrat in Russia from it (he had appropriated the minerals industry) 3. He liked to have inconvenient people assassinated.
Putin now claims that during this period where he swanked about the TV studios being fawned over by hosts as if he was already in the Kremlin, he was “a taxi driver”. He always smirks when he says that. Some of his victims were assassinated in the street - others just disappeared.

They are way better than Russies T-72, T-80, and T-90. Russies lost ten and thousands of their Soviet era tanks in Ukraine, especially, T-72.

Due to the situation for readiness there are manoeuvres taking place right along the Baltic including Finland and Poland and Romania.
