At this period there was an agreement where films couldn't be shown on television until they had reach 5 years old. To watch a Bond film back in the day was a major event!
LOL I had to see if the Wrangler advert was "what's going on" ... and it was! Re the kids feet / Clarks advert: When I was a little kid I remember a machine probably in a clarks shop, that you put your foot in and as I recall stainless steel sides and front would measure your foot dimensions accurately. I hated it, I was scared it would hurt my foot. Did I imagine that?
Edward Judd voicing the Renault 9 advert. Peter Egan the voice of the Clarke's shoes - and an early appearance for Samantha Fox in the Cornflakes advert.

The Skol advert mainly featured Michael Melia (pub landlord in Eastenders for a short time ) and also, I think, one of the men drinking at the bar was Ken Hutchinson of ' Straw Dogs' and ' Murphy's Mob' fame.
"The new Renault 9 car of the year 1982"? That must have been a lean year. Kenny Everett doing the voiceover for Kraft Cheese Slices? And how on earth did they get permission from Bernie Ecclestone to use the F1 theme music for the Fiat ad? (and did they go out and buy a nearly new Cortina 2.0 GL?) Actually a Cortina/Fiat twin cam hybrid might be quite interesting. Could've been the new Lotus Cortina.
Since the pandemic will end this year. We never have cable like on the UK back in the 80’s here in the Philippines. We have cable back in 1992 but we’re watching direct from the U.S. UK we’re discover it 🙁🙁🙁🙁
Going by that phone at 1m 40sec Scarborough, BUT I have a feeling this might be STV since theirs a McEwans Larger Adverts at 14mins, I dont believe it was popular doon south?
Kleenex Cotton Wool was just the same beauty coil used by hairdressers when giving perms, but in smaller, consumer-friendly packages. It wasn't a success.
Can’t beat a trip down memory lane...
This was the first time The Spy Who Loved Me had been shown on U.K television, almost five years after it came out!
I remember it, bizarrely
At this period there was an agreement where films couldn't be shown on television until they had reach 5 years old. To watch a Bond film back in the day was a major event!
It was always 5 years for a Bond. My first Bond was For Your Eyes Only in 1986 - 5 years after cinema.
52mpg in 1982!!! Bloody hell, we've gone backwards

@@mellymel245 Ken Hutchison ? Yes, I think he was. He died a year or two ago, God rest his soul.

Coleman'S Mustard was my favorite!

I've heard of going the extra mile at work, but she seems to be redefining that. 😂
I quite like those Clarker Mover shoes, I think they should be reissued.
