I hope you will enjoy watching their story, they are my favorites. Despite the lack of justice for their story and for the s2 leads they still remain most popular pair of this show. Kate definitely one of my favorite character and i think you will understand her as you continue to watch. she is a character who gave up her own happiness so that her sister and stepmother could live a good life. She wants Edwina to find true love and live a happy life, not think about Kate and her mother. She is selfless and she give her everything to her sister and mama.
If you are a fan of Lady Danbury, you should definitely watch Queen Charlotte after this. You will get to understand how they both grew to become the powerhouses they are now. An absolute gem of a story!

This season gets better and better and made me fall in love with Anthony! Fun fact, the actress who plays Penelope is actually Irish so it's the English accent she is putting on 😂

we all hated when Kate tried talking back to Lady Danbury - nobody gets to do that, you are right. but Lady Danbury doesn't like dogs - that is a travesty in its own right :D I am sure you will enjoy this season - it encapsulated some of my favourite tropes, had some of the best characters, it was all in all much better than S01, in my opinion. btw, Steph, if you are planning to watch S03, you really need to see Queen Charlotte too - S03 of Bridgerton will continue the story past S02 but will also take the series Queen Charlotte into considerations. If you don't plan on watching it, ask us for some highlights because you will certainly need them. I've seen the trailers for S03 and they have a LOT to do with the companion series. Queen Charlotte is just 6 episodes, and is also excellent, and has a LOT of Lady Danbury in it, so you would love it too ^^

Queen Charlotte wasn't my favourite season but I would still watch it because of the additional dynamics we get. it is not set 100% in the past - there are flashes to current-time (Bridgerton time) that give us insights into what happens between S02 and S03 and which set up some plot lines for S03. again, I am sure we can summarize for you, but that would spoil Queen Charlotte. :/
Simon's actor got a role in a major movie and declined returning for S02. it is a running joke at this point - every time we look at Daphne, we ask "where is your husband?" :D in all honesty, though, he isn't really needed. this is no longer his story, or Daphne's. we have moved on to the next Bridgerton sibling. you will see in later episodes.
