- I have had this thing for a while now and have had a chance to do a few cooks with it. I have nothing bad to say about this unit other than the fact that the first couple times you cook with it the food does stick a little bit.
*Works great. We have used it as a grill **MyBest.Kitchen** and a griddle Grease catcher could stand some improvement as some liquid usually gets on the counter top. Grills/griddles are easy to remove and insert.*
Thanks!! I’m excited to use my new griddle this summer in Alaska. Great tips. 👍🏻
Awesome! Let me know how it turns out. I hope to visit Alaska at some point.
Thanks for the video! I’m about to purchase the 17” with the cover. I can’t wait to try it! I’ve always used cast iron skillets and carbon steel cookware so this should be easygoing for me!
I just bought my 17" from Lowe's & got the 10% veterans discount. Cant wait to try it.
I just purchased this griddle!!! Im on my 2nd seasoning of it. I cant wait to try it out!!
Looking forward to hearing about how it goes. You will definitely enjoy it!
I just purchased the 2 burner model and can't wait to start using it.
You will be more than pleased.
Food Looks good and thats the way I clean and season my griddle with olive oil.
Great video but now I am hungry, Will be following along as I just found your channel.
I have one. I made some of the best food I ever ate. Amazing how delicious the food taste using this.
I agree. Everything I have made has been great.
This past weekend I cooked cabbage with bacon and porkchops they turned out great.i have a 24 inch royal gourmet griddle
Good video straight to the point all the other videos are all talk and no cooking lol
I love my Blackstone 22 Adventure Ready griddle. Food won't stick if you properly season it.
I think the olive oil season is the Best way💪👍
I have a 36inch but found one of these on clearance for $70. Used it to make Philly Cheese Steaks and hamburgers so far and love the portability of it.
It is definitely easy to pack up and take just about anywhere. I still love mine
just a suggestion get yourself a griddle spatula. You can cut, scrape and move food better. Shot that is most of the fun using a larger spatula. lol
It’s a shame most of these RUclipsrs have to half of their video explaining their actions because of A-Holes and their comments. Great video and you can season your griddle with Valvoline motor oil if you want..
Lard,,,works for me...Best Regards
I dont have a blackstone, I have another brand. I noticed you said it gets hotter in the middle and more to the right. Mine gets real hot in the middle to the right corner. the bottom and left parts of the grill arent near as hot. I wonder if that is just part of design with a lot of the one burner grills. It is not a huge deal, the more I cook on it the more I will learn about the hotter zones. Just wanting to know if that is pretty normal especially with one burner tabletop grills.
From my experience that is normal on all flat top grills. We use a 17 inch blue rhino razor 1 flat top grill and the hot zones vary as well middle being the hottest top griddle is the next hottest and the bottom of the griddle is the lowest in temp.
Did you condition it before the first use? Just wondering if that would help with the sticking.
I did not. I was so exited to use I just started cooking. I would say conditioning it first definitely can't hurt though.
They say grapeseed oil, or flaxseed oil is the best. Never used either one. Main thing is use something with a high smoke point.
Grape seed oil has a high smoke point
Avocado oil
tremendous video Part Time Camper. I crushed that thumbs up on your video. Maintain up the quality work.
Thanks!
How long does it take to cool down after cleaning . Before you can pack up in carrying case.
I have never actually timed it, but I would say roughly 10 minutes.
I love MY NEW FLAT TOP GRILL 🎉❤
They do such a great job.
I thinking about this one, or the one with the air fryer.
Just to let you know, the air fryer requires electricity. It doesn't run on propane.
@@steves3760 I know
Doesn't the griddle itself store upside down?
You can store it that way, but I always leave mine upright and just put a cover on it. Thanks for asking.
Or use tongs to move the towel around to clean
Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely give it a try.
Why can't the grill be hooked up to a 20 lb propane tank? The one pound bottle does last and are getting to expensive to purchase.
With the right hose it can definitely be hooked up to a 20 lb tank. I actually bought a hose that let me hook it directly to my campers propane system.
Thanks I bought a 17 in grill today and the owner's manual says, only use a 16.04 oz bottle. So will the pressure from the 20 pound tank effect the griddle like damage it or cause other issues?
@@janis3900 Here is an adapter that should work fine with the griddle. Blackstone Propane Adapter Hose & Regulator for 20 lb Tank, Gas Grill & Griddle - Weather Resistant & Corrosion Resistant - Extends Up to 3 Feet - 5471 a.co/d/iQOSW9Q
Season it right the first time. Mine never had this problem
Mine has gotten better as I have cooked with it more.
@@parttimecamper5561 it does take time for sure.
Like the review but i not a fan of non stick they always wear
Is that a plastic table!
Yes
how dose it fare using it on that plastic table?
I have never had an issue. It is a lifetime table, so they are pretty tough anyway.
@@parttimecamper5561 thats what i was thinking about using too.
You shouldn't clean it like that. You are removing the season. Treat it just like a cast iron pan. Scrape, wipe, done.
I don't disagree, but this is the best way I have found to clean it. Treating it just like normal cast iron makes it very hard to clean.
For God's sake man, unless you like third degree burns move your paper towels around with your spatula.
Good point. I actually started doing that after I made the video.
