    Geia sou file. Possibly the best review of this lens. Fantastic sample shots. As it goes, got it on order to slap on my A6700. Really looks well suited on your Nikon. Contrary to what a lot of people say about Chinese lenses, I think they offer exceptional value for money. Great video & content. Keep it up. ✊

    Well done. Thanks for the great review. I like how you focused on real world usage instead of pixel peeping and complaining about the sharpness. I have a few of these cheap chinese lenses and always look out for ones that give the 'good nostalgic' feel rather than sharpness

    Love this review. I'm going to get this lens for my Canon EOS R50. I'll be living in the Georgia mountains for a month and given the zero light pollution in the area, I'd be silly not to try and get some beautiful Milky Way shots!

      It's so nice that nowadays basically any type of lens is available for cheap. Yes sometimes we have to sacrifice autofocus or a little bit of sharpness but being able to try so many different lenses out is perfect for the photographic community. The fact that with 160$ I could create these images is a true statement to my point.

    I love the night images with the streak filter. you always try to bring something new. very innovative. how is the nikon for manual focusing? any particular setting you used? would you feel comfortable getting more expensive manual focus lenses for z mount?

    • @IliasKoureas
      @IliasKoureas  10 месяцев назад +1

      Wow thank you! I'm glad you liked them and you feel that way 😁
      The Zfc is quite good for manual focussing. The focus peaking works really well. Although recently I turned it off because it was really distracting to the point I was struggling to compose my images. So if I have the time I just zoom in to the image, make sure it's in focus and shoot. No fancy settings here.
      To be honest, I would love to try out voightlander lenses , but at this point I can't justify spending that much on a manual focus lens. I guess I will experiment more with vintage lenses the following months 😁

    Thank you so much for your detail review. May I know which one do you recommend for astrophotography in APSC between this lens and Yongnuo 11mm lens? I cannot find any comparison between these two lens so I cannot decide what to buy. I am okay with Manual focus. Thnak you

    • @IliasKoureas
      @IliasKoureas  7 месяцев назад +1

      Considering you need to have both lenses at f2.8 (that's their best aperture for astrophotography) the TTartisan performs better there. More sharpness in the middle of the image and clear corner's. The yongnuo corners suffer from chromatic aberration a lot.
      If you plan on shooting wide open though (which I wouldn't recommend because at f2.8 the sky is much better captured) then the yongnuo is the better choice.
      For me , the TTartisan is the obvious choice for astro. Cheaper, better build quality and better image quality at f2.8 were both lenses clear up. If for whatever reason you need af , skip on both of these and go with the viltrox 13mm.

      The 10mm uses 72mm filters. I would suggest to always get filters for your biggest lens and then with the help of step up rings adapt them to the smaller ones.

      Possibly yes. I've done a few real estate jobs with it. Just keep in mind that the property and the rooms will look much bigger than what they actually are in real life. Some clients like that some others don't

      @@IliasKoureas Great review I am liking the lens so far.
      I have been experimenting with it and I noticed that the aperture is at 0 at all times which means the camera is probably not reading it. On Lightroom it is always at F1.0, did you have a similar experience? I am reading on reddit that manual lenses tend to do this since it the camera does not know where the aperture lens is at.

    • @IliasKoureas
      @IliasKoureas  20 дней назад +1

      @AVFromUpAbove all manual lenses without electronic contacts don't show the aperture in the metadata. This is normal for most manual lenses in the market 🙏
