    I see this a as a great option for real estate photos; thank you for this interesting review.

      Indeed it would be great for real estate, and it has f2 so no need to worry about low light.

      For apsc cameras, Sony 10-20 F4, for full frame, Viltrox 20 f2.8 is my recommendation.

    I need an ultrawide lens for use with subject at 1meter but changing to .7m and 1.5m indoor use so widest aperture. Will manual focus work setting it at 1m and not adjusting focus as subject comes closer or moves away without readjusting cous with this lens?

    • @ConstantineSPhotography
      @ConstantineSPhotography  4 месяца назад +1

      No matter you use a manual lens or an af lens, you'll have to adjust focus distance if your subject stand at different distance away from the camera. Unless you use a super small aperture to create deep depth of field, but that way the image quality won't be good.

    I love all your videos very informative I want to do real estate videos and I have Sony Ze V10 camera with kit lens, which doesn't cover much areas while shooting properties. This lens which you are talking about will help me for shooting videos... because it's manual lens will it work for shooting videos please help and reply

    • @ConstantineSPhotography
      @ConstantineSPhotography  5 месяцев назад

      Yes you can still use a manual lens for video shooting, try using a smaller aperture (bigger F number) and use focus peaking to check which area is in focus. I would also recommend turning on active steadyshot for better stabilization

    Thanks for the video. Does adding a filter cause any vignetting at the corners. Have you also tried a polarizer on it and noticed any uneven polarizing effects due to how wide the fov is?

    • @ConstantineSPhotography
      @ConstantineSPhotography  7 месяцев назад +1

      I don't have a polarizer to test, but I just tried putting on a uv filter and unfortunately there's very obvious vignetting.

    • @ConstantineSPhotography
      @ConstantineSPhotography  7 месяцев назад +1

      Not sure whether it depends on the thickness of the filter or not, the one I tried is the contax 72mmL39(UV)MC.

    • @navikYT
      @navikYT 7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for testing. That's what I was afraid of, the wider fov will make it hard to use any filter and ND filters are pretty useful for landscapes

    • @ConstantineSPhotography
      @ConstantineSPhotography  7 месяцев назад

      It's a pity, they designed a filter holder for the lens but missed this.

    • @kiliansalomon507

      it appears quite quickly but it's not unusable. i bought a 72-82 step up ring and I'm able to use either my mist or nd filter with pretty much no vignetting. when stacking both there is a bit but with active stabilisation it gets cropped out too.

    Hey! Thanks a ton for the video! It’s majestic :)
    at 3:24 when you said “due to its manual focus nature, no gyro info would be recorded for Catalyst Browser”.
    The Gyro info are recorded from the camera Gyro, not from the lens itself in this case. Why then the file wouldn’t include the gyro info?

    • @ConstantineSPhotography
      @ConstantineSPhotography  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for supporting!
      I think it also has something to do with the lens. It doesn't have metal contact, so the camera can't recognize there's a lens on it.

    • @salvomichielli
      @salvomichielli 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@ConstantineSPhotography oh that’s weird! So even if I turn off any steady shot stabilisation in the camera menu, the file won’t contain any gyro metadata? Is it correct?!

    • @ConstantineSPhotography
      @ConstantineSPhotography  7 месяцев назад +1

      I suppose so. Maybe unless you put on an adapter with metal contact.

    • @salvomichielli
      @salvomichielli 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@ConstantineSPhotography I can confirm that it’s like how you’re saying. No gyro info on manual focus lenses.
      I tried that using a Sirui anamorphic APSC lens, which it has a metal connector.
      So.. this lack of gyro metadata issue doesn’t come from the lack of metal contact.. and it’s pretty annoying.

    • @ConstantineSPhotography
      @ConstantineSPhotography  7 месяцев назад

      So no gyro data for all manual lenses, interesting. Yeah that's annoying, and if you use Sony's active steadyshot on a manual lens, usually it'll look even more shaky because of the narrower perspective.

      1. f2 very bad for me..
      2. when use f8-f11, there is an image point around the middle, which is not clear, like watercolor and blurry.. so bad that you can't use f8-f11..
