I really think that all these characters are super endearing and I would love to see more of them. It’s hard to choose a favorite when you have given them such great bases to build on.
Now we just need a wendy oldbags who thinks Eira has a thing for them because of how awkward he is around her while the rest of the team tries not to laugh in the background
YES. It'd probably a small villian, but I love the idea of Flint being the really supportive one and celebrating every small victory. (Now I really want an episode where the characters are forcefully separated and we get to see how they act by themselves, cause Flint seems like the kind of characters that's really supportive of others, but desperately needs validation from others to the point of genuine fear if it seems like someone isn't proud of him... I'm dumping my own shit on him, oh god.)

Idea for Eira rejecting his magic: Perhaps the reason the kingdom is covered in snow is because of magic. Like, some magical accident or an evil wizard. Because Eira's magic is focused on ice and snow, he has the same type of magic that caused this eternal winter which is why he's so ashamed of it. And if an evil wizard is responsible for the winter, maybe Eira is one of their descendants.
This might be able to tie in with the fact that he was a street punk in the past. Maybe he disagreed with his family about this, and was either disowned or ran away from his family on his own. And he just doesn’t wanna be like his family/ancestor so that’s why he’s so unaccepting of his own magic.
One thing I love about Flint’s design is that his nose is crooked, like he’s taken a hit or two in the face and broken his nose at least once in his fighting career

I relate to that but the funny thing is one of the main characters from my current project is THE first gay character I've ever made (basically I was raised homophobic and while I started to grow to be more accepting I randomly went "hm how about make a gay character for once?" and so I did and he's one of my favorite characters I've ever made to this day)
I did this same thing to a story i came up with when I was in 4th grade 😅. Specificly a character now named Seth who is gender fluid now. But before, they were some evil girl named Alex who "pretended to be a guy/was a tomboy". At the time, she also got smooched a la sleeping beauty by the protagonist who... was... named... Luna... how oRiGiNaL 😂 (her name is Artemis now, so at least a little less on the nose)

That's because all of the other wizards Heartless had met have all been skinny. They all have used their magic and not their muscles. And then there's this stoic fighter guy who could throw him through a tree without magic and Heartless is SCARED.
I love the idea of all of them running through a forest. Like just imagine: Heatless running through a forest or park chasing a butterfly and he kills all the plants, but then Alchemy runs after him, and changes the dead flowers to live, pretty ones! Then Flint runs past and they burn a little bit, And then Eira goes past and the plants get all frosty. After that, River runs past, stops, regrows the plants, and continues to try to catch Heartless. Finally, Dopple runs past and the flowers double in number. And then it cuts to a townsperson sitting on a bench who just witnessed that, and looks absolutely bamboozled. Idk, just something i came up with to play with how their power work.
three possible openings, them being epic making an epic escape, running pass the flowers, and them trying to use their powers together but they be disasters so shenanigans ensue my suggestion is that we use all three openings in different episodes, the epic is the angst and most story related heavy episodes, the flowerfield is more light and happy episodes and the disasters together is the comedic learning to work as a team episodes
Flint and Alchemy are the parents of the group, Heartless is the chaotic youngest child, Doppel and Glass are the unhappy middle children, and River is the responsible oldest daughter with anxiety. Eira is the weird cousin. I love this dynamic for them

Same- My old story that I made three years ago, which was back then literally called "the war between heaven and hell" but is now "Angel of Hell" used to have all straight mcs. Now the Princess of Hell (Muriel,her name will be changed) is lesbian,the Prince of Hell (Lucifer)is Pan and the Princess of Heaven (Amara,her name will be changed soon) is Bi. They're is a bunch of other from side stories but those are the main ones.
All my OCs were gay anyway, they just didn't know it 😎. Seriously, I have a genderfluid character and aroace character from when I was ten and didn't know what it meant

Arcs about character clones accepting their existence and becoming their own person is a weakness of mine. So this interests me GREATLY. Also red and blue gays.
God, I can just see it. Eira, standing near defeated by the king's captor, his sword knocked out of his hand, Heartless and the others knocked out. The bad guy taunts Eira, takes his time. He draws out his blade and presses it to the king's throat. Asks Eira: "What are you gonna do about it?" BAM! Dagger goes flying, we get a look at the villain's shocked face before a full-page spread of Eira, standing before his friend, newly created ice sword raised high, the first time he's ever done so. The power of (possibly more than) friendship, baybeeee~!
(Oh my goodness, I can't help but add detail to this - ) No. No, no, no, repeats in his head, seeing the blade get closer and closer to his king's throat. He doesn't have time to get to his sword. The outsiders are defeated, scattered across the floor behind him. Even if he ran, he wouldn't get there in time. This man, this insolent, disgusting invader, knows it. It's in his eyes - triumphant and gleaming, sickly victorious. Like every gang member on the streets that hurt people, just because they could. He would hate it, but he can't think through his horror. Not him, he can't help but think. Time has slowed but every millimeter that dagger crawls forward is too fast. Please, not him. *CRACK.* His vision whites, and then it's back to normal, except it's too dim, where is his king, where is - ? Please, he thinks again, and his tears freeze on his cheeks. His eyes have adjusted. The windows have been frosted over, ice covering the stone of the floor and walls in a blast pattern, deadly and explosive. Spikes rise, sharp and fatal. His king's breath comes out to add to the white of the room in little puffs. There is blood on the side of his face, but he is alive. Snowflakes grow out from dust, water forming crystals on specks of dirt and falling when they become too heavy. *Not him,* he had thought, and ice had formed from him, a sick imitation of shaping snow. Eira knows he is just as filthy as the dust in the center of snowflakes, but for now, with his king alive, he is too relieved to think about that.

@@rosemary3029 really? Totally thought he was deadn't. Edit: Oh heck, I now have an idea for a gag/plot point involving heartless! When asleep, heartless looks as though he's dead; not breathing, no pulse, swells a little, etc.

Me: "Time to add some PHYSICS!" One possible explanation is that his magic requires him to use some of his own body heat to produce fire. As a consequence, his body is used to absorbing more heat than a normal person, which, when heat is already abundant, could be very uncomfortable. Sorry if this feels more like a Quirk than magic, I just thought it'd be neat.
Head cannon: dopple doesn’t need to wear the same clothes but they choose two because the original insists that if there going to twins they might as well look bad butt while doing it. Either that or they do it without realizing it and at first the original was super annoyed by it.
the original was really mad about it, but later on he starts insisting on it, because not only its because of the twins things, but because it is very helpful, it helps to confuse the enemy

I like the thought of Eira being in love with the king, maybe possibly that could be the reason why Eira rejects his magic? the king (being the ruler of a anti-magic country) could be against magic and although he knows Eria is magic, he demeans Eria’s magic usage by saying “you aren’t like those wizards” or “you’re different” causing Eria to sort of repress his magic bc 1) he’s in love with the king but also 2) he’s grown up with the view of being magical as something bad but only him being the exception of this stereotype. The thought of rejecting a part of yourself for the sake of someone else could be very relatable and angst worthy. i think it would be really nice to see Alchemy teach Eira the importance of self-love and not sacrificing a piece of yourself just bc you want someone else to be happy. also i think it could reflect Eira being a closeted gay? possibly reflecting the inner torment of being a young kid in love with someone you were taught you shouldn’t love bc of their gender and gradually hiding and rejecting that part of you just like Eria with his magic? idk but i think that would be really nice but i’m also just a glutton for angst and one-sided love lol :]]

my headcannon is that Valentine starts calling the original Doppel "Unoppel" or "Oneppel" to differenciate them both and slowly everyone from the group starts calling him the same way
God, as soon as you revealed Alchemy's masculine look and started talking about them being Nonbinary i couldnt help but shed some tears, man. They would have 100% been my emotional support/wish fulfillment character when i was still a lil enby kid who had no idea how to express themself 😭 i love everyone's designs so much, but Alchemy is absolutely my favorite (also, i cackled when you said the beauty of revisiting old characters was that you can make them all gay like bitch me too!!!!)
At first I was like, “Aw her (River’s) old design was kinda neat is sad to see it get scrapped :(“ but then I saw her redesign and went “Nah you’re right this one is much better I love River I would die a thousand deaths for her”
i just hada thought- with the bad guy that nullafies magic, would that mean he could delete the timid dopple? they're both already weak when it comes to magic and the timid dopple happened because of magic, i just imagine the two dopples running away, the timid one getting caught, brash turning around to help and then *in one moment the timid dopple is gone, the brash one has all his powers back for the first time in years, and Creed is very very confused as to why the person he just grabbed disappeared*
And then OG Doppel just snaps and goes on a full rage, Creed doesn’t even have time to process what the friggles just happened before he gets a happy reunion with the pavement.
Imagine if it’s the other way around, and Creed reaches for both of them, and you see someone’s hand fade, and when we look back, TIMID has tears in his eyes and is ANGRY. Because TIMID was the original and didn’t realize, because the duplication knocked them out and they woke up with the same memories.

Crap I’m late but here’s some ideas: Eira’s ice sword could be “unlocked” during a battle. He could start off with a regular non magic sword, and by the time he’s started to vibe with the gang (though still rejecting his magic) he gets into a duel. Right before the fight everyone is giving him advice on how to win, and some are telling him to use his magic. Maybe Alchemy tries showing Eira how they use their staff to amplify/control their magic, suggesting he do the same with his sword. He gets really anxious about it. The duel begins, and the bad guy who is maybe a magic user? knocks the sword out of his reach/destroys it. His newfound friends yell for him to use his magic, which he fully knows he cannot control, and doesn’t want to hurt them, but he tries anyway. After a few failed attempts he remembers the advice Alchemy gave him, and creates the ice sword as his metal one is gone, winning the duel. Also you mentioned Eira is the childhood friend of the king...and that he’s gay...so like....what if... “Sorry, should’ve introduced myself. I’m Doppel.” “Uh-huh..and who’re you?” “I-I’m uh, also, doppel.” “What?” “ ᵂᵉ’ʳᵉ ᵗʰᵉ ˢᵃᵐᵉ ᵖᵉʳˢᵒⁿ” “What?!” *”He said, we’re the same person”* Also Doppel SHOULDN’T HAVE A REFLECTION because the clone of himself is like...his reflection? That he pulled through a mirror when he was a kid?? Idk that’d be cool.

As a twin watching this, my first thought upon learning Dopple's story was the angst opportunities they could have. Like the anxiety side having an issue of wanting to be treated better, given a separate name, or even just treated as something separate. He's been separate from the original boy since they were small children and it just feels like something that would come from a situation like this. They started the same and my brain really wants to poke at the fact that they're separate now. There's also the really messed up option of them figuring out how to put Dopple back together and having to make that choice. Lose the basically brother you made when you were a kid and get to be whole again, or stay the way you are right now. Like dude, the angst possibilities with those two it so strong! Anyway, this story sounds super cool and if you ever make it into a full-on thing, I'd love to see it! Hope you have a nice rest of your day! :DD
I’m also a twin and I also thought of the exact same thing! I think your idea is great, I would love to see the anxious Dopple’s view on being separated from the original Dopple but only ever being treated like a less cool copy. I also really want him to chose a name for himself.
.. if doppel got drunk i imagine his timid side going out and doing a bunch of crazy stuff and in the morning doppel is like "WHAT DID YOU DO?!" and his timid side is like "I DONT KNOW" and they both just panic
ATTENTION ALL SHIPPERS Imagine this dynamic real quick: The group has to go through a hot area and Flint isn't functioning well. Eira has to reluctantly use his magic to cool him down while reminding him of how much of an idiot he's being but at the same time being kinda glad he can help-
Maybe from the king? Like he would be willing to put his life on the line for him and maybe at some point Eira like bursts and magic floods out for who knows what. And then maybe the kingdom like banishes him for magic and the King gives him the scarf? Idk.

And then Alchemy intensely stares at Doppel and he’s like, “I didn’t help this time!” Flint pops out and just goes “There was a last time?” Cue awkward silence.
Ooo I'm just imagining a River focus season finale where she has to save all her friends and ends up doing something that bothers her for at least half of the next season. Idk, it just sounds like a really epic scene
I feel like Eira's ice sword would see a transition from all gnarly and jagged at first then get a more refined rapier-type look as he developed his magical skills.
Idea: Heartless and Alchemy meet when Heartless sees one of their shows. Heartless goes backstage and offers to be Alchemy's helper, because constantly transforming back and forth multiple times each performance has to be tired to some degree. Alchemy deems Heartless cute enough and a partnership is formed!
Since Dopple has a mirror version of himself, maybe you could invert his mirror counterpart’s wardrobe, writing hand, habit of holding his bag, etc, from left to right.
Oh and maybe he’s like only a doctor because the amount of money doctors get and not actually passionate about it. And when he’s fighting he says “YOU’RE MY NEXT PATIENT!” lmao I need to stop.
How does Heartless meet Alchemy? Heartless somehow ends up in a gay bar. Alchemy is there in their male form. Alchemy makes some moves but Heartless is completely oblivious. Alchemy now realizes that this small man has a total of 2 brain cells. They're like "how are you alive" and Heartless is like "I'm good at dodging stuff!" and Alchemy is like "god bless this stupid child. he's gonna die out there." Alchemy joins the party! Eira backstory idea! Eria's parents and close family were hella discriminatory... and since he was such close friends with ROYALTY and because his family were such greedy bastards they forbid him from using magic, tho future king and his family were totally chill (heh) about it. So deep down he knew it was okay and not to care about what others say, but... internalized magic hating!!!! How does Doppel join the party? He yoinks Eira's wallet, is the basics. There's this long chase scene where Eira's screaming about being of high rank and Doppel's just like "lmao get rekt loser" Scene ideas? Eira uses ice magic. Doppel reflects it at Eria's feet. Ezra was standing in one of those waterways, stuck. Flint frees him. Gay panic attacks ensue. How they catch him: Doppel's in a tree. Heartless uses his magic to kill the tree. Doppel goes to run away but Alchemy CLOTHESLINES HIM WITH THEIR STAFF. Victory. I'm getting too invested...
Dopple’s thief half steals from them, while Dopple’s timid half just runs with him to escape the party, then when they get caught, timid half profusely apologized while leaning *far* away from heartless, the guy who sucked the life out of a tree.
I feel like Alchemy needs a pet liger (lion-tiger hybrid) who is actually not threatening, but a huge affectionate goofball with a floofy mane and tiger stripes ^^
No but seriously. Umqgibe the OG getting super annoyed at his clone, and full on screaming at him, while the clone just sobs and takes it. Or if the OG does somehow manage to get rid of the clone, but quickly regrets it it, becasue hes suddenly alone
Oh my god...it has so much angst potential. Like, does the Mirror Doppel have separate feelings? Is Doppel making his own copy miserable by accident? If he were to get rid of his mirror copy, would he get lonely and regret it? SO. MUCH. ANGST.
he is having a battle, he needs more strength, and in a final moment he finds himself using more power than he remembers having, he turns around to cheer at his other half exclaiming something like “i did it!” and “did you see that halfie?!” only to realize that there’s a mask on the floor with a note saying “you did great, glad i could help” and while the other characters are silent and he is crying we can hear in the background the weak half being like “i’m glad i could help, i’m gonna miss you all, please, continue the fight without me” there, there’s the angst you wanted xoxo
I imagine heartless meets alchemy while aimlessly wandering near the beginning of his resurrection, and he hears rumors of their magic show and gets excited- getting the idea that they could change his appearance so that he could hide his magic in public. Most obviously, they can not due to the fact that they can only alter themself- but they're fascinated by the fact that Heartless is undead, and after a shonen fetch quest gone wrong they pack up their show and decide to travel with them. It's a bit iffy, but I tried my best with the idea!
I just thought, based off of River's appearance, she seems kind of timid. I can imagine her and Doppel's timid half having becoming great friends! (also would she be able to heal him?) Then something happens, perhaps a villain is able to reverse Doppel's abilities(?), and they loose the timid half which is just greatly upsetting to the entire group - I can feel the angst!
And when you really think about it, he has his own personality and memories, he may as well be his own person and at that point, he's essentially dead.
I can see it now, they get cornered by Creed and he manages to knock everyone else down, Heartless is struggling (not dead but definitely struggling) because his magic is being nullified, Eira has no weapon, Flynt's being occupied by another member of the Jury, people are down for the count left and right including the original Doppel... And then the Timid one just, gets up, and charges Creed because he's not gonna let them hurt his _friends_ damnit, he manages to get a few good hits in, and then... Creed uses his power on him, and the other Doppel shatters like glass. And that's when the battle takes a turn, because now, *it's personal.*
Alex: and this is Eira! The kings gaurd-- Me: childhood best friends eira and the king. eira falls in love, but the kings in an arranged marriage/happy relationship and eira spends his entire arc coming to terms with the tragedy that the king will never love him that way which leads him to join heartless and co in an attempt to move on and see more of the world after they save the king from the danger. Also opens up opportunities for fire gay and ice gay and im a sucker. We been knew.
holy shit after they save the king and he meets his queen again after and they share a loving kiss and hug and Eira is looking longingly at them from behind the other heroes and thats the moment he decides it will never happen and he has to move on
Okay, but I imagined Eira cool down Flint on heat wave/desert trip... And I think I'm going to cry. Like Eira is the only one that is worried about it cause everyone else got used to it. And Flint very vocal complain to everyone but never do it to Eira cause he *really* don't want to annoy him ( and because of that one time his brain melted when he saw Ice boy with less clothes, which is still way more than him a daily basis; and started ranting to him about how attractive he is. Which of course is miss understood as being about the weather. ) And now Eira think Flint is avoiding him, also that he's a creep for being so attracted to his half delirious companion. Eira, being Eira, has no other copping mechanism to having a crush but serving them heart, body and soul; start secretly experimenting with his magic to solve our dear himbo's problem. Until one day, while they're left alone at the inn, he built the confidence to propose helping. Now they always hold hands.
Eira and Alchemy become really close as well where Eira confides in her about his feelings towards others in the group, and coming to terms with his sexuality and wizardhood. I think because she is openly expressive about her non-binary and magic usage they would be great as best friends who come to each other in dark times and she could help with Eira's arc and everything.
Fake anime screenshots sounds like a really cool idea! I’d love to see your characters interacting with each other and getting up to shenanigans. So many possibilities!!
Since River's last name is Dial, a visual cue for her amplifying/accelerating someone with her magic could be a green dial that appears near them. The dial could change shape and size depending on what she's doing (healing a small wound has a small dial vs healing a large tree has a HUGE dial) and maybe she could have two or three different types of dials depending on what she's doing (like a clock-like dial if she's accelerating something, or a health bar lookin thing if she's healing someone/repairing their cells lol)

Idea for Eira rejecting his magic: Perhaps the reason the kingdom is covered in snow is because of magic. Like, some magical accident or an evil wizard. Because Eira's magic is focused on ice and snow, he has the same type of magic that caused this eternal winter which is why he's so ashamed of it. And if an evil wizard is responsible for the winter, maybe Eira is one of their descendants.
This might be able to tie in with the fact that he was a street punk in the past. Maybe he disagreed with his family about this, and was either disowned or ran away from his family on his own. And he just doesn’t wanna be like his family/ancestor so that’s why he’s so unaccepting of his own magic.

I love the idea of all of them running through a forest. Like just imagine: Heatless running through a forest or park chasing a butterfly and he kills all the plants, but then Alchemy runs after him, and changes the dead flowers to live, pretty ones! Then Flint runs past and they burn a little bit, And then Eira goes past and the plants get all frosty. After that, River runs past, stops, regrows the plants, and continues to try to catch Heartless. Finally, Dopple runs past and the flowers double in number. And then it cuts to a townsperson sitting on a bench who just witnessed that, and looks absolutely bamboozled.

the original was really mad about it, but later on he starts insisting on it, because not only its because of the twins things, but because it is very helpful, it helps to confuse the enemy

I like the thought of Eira being in love with the king, maybe possibly that could be the reason why Eira rejects his magic?
the king (being the ruler of a anti-magic country) could be against magic and although he knows Eria is magic, he demeans Eria’s magic usage by saying “you aren’t like those wizards” or “you’re different” causing Eria to sort of repress his magic bc 1) he’s in love with the king but also 2) he’s grown up with the view of being magical as something bad but only him being the exception of this stereotype.
The thought of rejecting a part of yourself for the sake of someone else could be very relatable and angst worthy. i think it would be really nice to see Alchemy teach Eira the importance of self-love and not sacrificing a piece of yourself just bc you want someone else to be happy. also i think it could reflect Eira being a closeted gay? possibly reflecting the inner torment of being a young kid in love with someone you were taught you shouldn’t love bc of their gender and gradually hiding and rejecting that part of you just like Eria with his magic?

Crap I’m late but here’s some ideas:
Eira’s ice sword could be “unlocked” during a battle. He could start off with a regular non magic sword, and by the time he’s started to vibe with the gang (though still rejecting his magic) he gets into a duel. Right before the fight everyone is giving him advice on how to win, and some are telling him to use his magic. Maybe Alchemy tries showing Eira how they use their staff to amplify/control their magic, suggesting he do the same with his sword. He gets really anxious about it. The duel begins, and the bad guy who is maybe a magic user? knocks the sword out of his reach/destroys it. His newfound friends yell for him to use his magic, which he fully knows he cannot control, and doesn’t want to hurt them, but he tries anyway. After a few failed attempts he remembers the advice Alchemy gave him, and creates the ice sword as his metal one is gone, winning the duel.
Also you mentioned Eira is the childhood friend of the king...and that he’s gay...so like....what if...
“Sorry, should’ve introduced myself. I’m Doppel.”

As a twin watching this, my first thought upon learning Dopple's story was the angst opportunities they could have. Like the anxiety side having an issue of wanting to be treated better, given a separate name, or even just treated as something separate. He's been separate from the original boy since they were small children and it just feels like something that would come from a situation like this. They started the same and my brain really wants to poke at the fact that they're separate now.
There's also the really messed up option of them figuring out how to put Dopple back together and having to make that choice. Lose the basically brother you made when you were a kid and get to be whole again, or stay the way you are right now. Like dude, the angst possibilities with those two it so strong!
Anyway, this story sounds super cool and if you ever make it into a full-on thing, I'd love to see it! Hope you have a nice rest of your day! :DD
I’m also a twin and I also thought of the exact same thing! I think your idea is great, I would love to see the anxious Dopple’s view on being separated from the original Dopple but only ever being treated like a less cool copy. I also really want him to chose a name for himself.

I feel like Eira's ice sword would see a transition from all gnarly and jagged at first then get a more refined rapier-type look as he developed his magical skills.
Idea: Heartless and Alchemy meet when Heartless sees one of their shows. Heartless goes backstage and offers to be Alchemy's helper, because constantly transforming back and forth multiple times each performance has to be tired to some degree. Alchemy deems Heartless cute enough and a partnership is formed!

Heartless somehow ends up in a gay bar. Alchemy is there in their male form. Alchemy makes some moves but Heartless is completely oblivious.
Alchemy now realizes that this small man has a total of 2 brain cells.
They're like "how are you alive" and Heartless is like "I'm good at dodging stuff!" and Alchemy is like "god bless this stupid child. he's gonna die out there."

Eira backstory idea!
Eria's parents and close family were hella discriminatory... and since he was such close friends with ROYALTY and because his family were such greedy bastards they forbid him from using magic, tho future king and his family were totally chill (heh) about it. So deep down he knew it was okay and not to care about what others say, but... internalized magic hating!!!!
How does Doppel join the party?
He yoinks Eira's wallet, is the basics. There's this long chase scene where Eira's screaming about being of high rank and Doppel's just like "lmao get rekt loser"
Scene ideas?
Eira uses ice magic. Doppel reflects it at Eria's feet. Ezra was standing in one of those waterways, stuck. Flint frees him. Gay panic attacks ensue.
How they catch him: Doppel's in a tree. Heartless uses his magic to kill the tree. Doppel goes to run away but Alchemy CLOTHESLINES HIM WITH THEIR STAFF. Victory.

Meanwhile Doppel’s other half runs after him and apologizes to the group non-stop as Dopple hangs from a tree and gives everyone the bird.
Dopple’s thief half steals from them, while Dopple’s timid half just runs with him to escape the party, then when they get caught, timid half profusely apologized while leaning *far* away from heartless, the guy who sucked the life out of a tree.

he is having a battle, he needs more strength, and in a final moment he finds himself using more power than he remembers having, he turns around to cheer at his other half exclaiming something like “i did it!” and “did you see that halfie?!” only to realize that there’s a mask on the floor with a note saying “you did great, glad i could help” and while the other characters are silent and he is crying we can hear in the background the weak half being like “i’m glad i could help, i’m gonna miss you all, please, continue the fight without me”

I imagine heartless meets alchemy while aimlessly wandering near the beginning of his resurrection, and he hears rumors of their magic show and gets excited- getting the idea that they could change his appearance so that he could hide his magic in public.
Most obviously, they can not due to the fact that they can only alter themself- but they're fascinated by the fact that Heartless is undead, and after a shonen fetch quest gone wrong they pack up their show and decide to travel with them.
It's a bit iffy, but I tried my best with the idea!

And then the Timid one just, gets up, and charges Creed because he's not gonna let them hurt his _friends_ damnit, he manages to get a few good hits in, and then... Creed uses his power on him, and the other Doppel shatters like glass. And that's when the battle takes a turn, because now, *it's personal.*

Like Eira is the only one that is worried about it cause everyone else got used to it. I think because she is openly expressive about her non-binary and magic usage they would be great as best friends who come to each other in dark times and she could help with Eira's arc and everything.

Since River's last name is Dial, a visual cue for her amplifying/accelerating someone with her magic could be a green dial that appears near them. The dial could change shape and size depending on what she's doing (healing a small wound has a small dial vs healing a large tree has a HUGE dial) and maybe she could have two or three different types of dials depending on what she's doing (like a clock-like dial if she's accelerating something, or a health bar lookin thing if she's healing someone/repairing their cells lol)
