I kinda imagine a scene where Ruth has her makeup off, like she's about to take a dip into a river or something to get clean, and Theo sees her and is just super surprised by her scars, but it only makes him like her more. Ya know like something out of a cheesy romance novel.

@@milkamoussse Yes scars are proof of survival no matter who you are, an outlaw who's been through the valley would recognize that. Plus circuses in this era wouldn't have been as far removed from freakshows and that grotesque connotation wouldn't make it hard to believe she'd been through something horrible.
I’ve only know Ruth and Theo for 19 minutes but if anything happened to them I would launch myself to Mars, climb Olympus Mons and cry for a thousand years.

Loved the OCs! For side character suggestion, make a gay cowboy couple that Theo & Ruth meet and seeing the couple interact and talk makes them both realize they are in love when leading up to the the confession, that would be awesome!!
(doesnt have to be a gay couple persay, but i think it would be cool since they did exist and the dynamic of how society especially about lgbt was would impact the couple in different ways but they found salvation from it in each other)

i have watched this like 3 times now and I just love the story- I find it to while being almost like an enemies or lovers It just feels different... probably because of the settings and the clown and cowboy- all of this gave me motivation to actually do more drawings of a little universe I myself made a while back and actually try and explore it more.
and I also just love the redesigns lol- the change of color scheme completely for Ruth both makes her stand out from Theodore... but also for me at least fits a lot with the like sad story with the blues... and I actually found the blonde hair on Theodore to make his design connect with Ruths like how they are different but work well together it's just cute!
I just got the inspo for my last character in my samurai, pirate, cowboy and British lady story, a magician. Thanks for the inspiration, now I should probably start working on the plot of the story lol.
oh my gahjd the storyline ever so slightly reminds me of tangled (WHICH I LOVE) so im super excited bc this character dynamic is my absolute favorite of all archetypes!! i would totally watch this if it was an animated movie!!!
At 9:18 when you show Theo's old design, the first one looks just like Clay from Moral Orel to me which is funny since you just renamed the character from Clay to Theodore.
9:50 so the song called wanted man is about a cowboy that shoots someone because of someone that he loves, and I feel like this is almost too perfect for the cowboy that you have

would also LOVE a plot twist where its the sons reason the ringleader is dead, like, not COMPLETELY his fault but he had a seizure or something and the son never called for help so he could be in control

Omg your character design is so good looking you inspire me to try and improve my drawings and get better, I love the colors for the characters contrast each other with Ruth being mostly cool colors and Theodore being mostly warm colors. Your art is so nice 😀✨

These two are adorable and my kind of ship lol. I can just see it, Ruth’s prior friend from the circus realizing that she is with Theo and works with the cops to get catch him. Forcing Ruth to come back with him if she doesn’t want Theo to die, trapping her even further. Cue breakout sequence, with Theo rushing back to save Ruth and stopping her formar friend. love the designs and characters ❤

not gonna lie when you said that you got the idea for this while bored in class remains me of how I created my first pony oc SunRose.
I created this emotional anger driven pegasus oc in the 6th grade of middle school. During a time where I myself was going through bullying and at the time couldn't stand up for myself so I took all of my pint up anger towards these people and put it into SunRose.
it's been several years since I created that mare and all that's changed about her is her mane/tail style. She used to look like a recolored Rainbow Dash with an orange coat, a red mane/tail, and bright blue eyes, her update design is now a smooth mane/tail with her mane pulled back between her ears with a light green headband to keep her mane in place. Now does she still have the same personality as she did when I created her? Yes, I'm not changing that, 6th grade me put too much anger into her for present me to get rid of. She is however now seen as a rose with thorns. One moment she's sweet and laughing along with her friends and next you talk crap about her dead mom or how her adopted mom only adopted her cause of a promise then you will be waking up from a week long coma with broken teeth.
I'm in love with this so much!! When the video ended I forgot that this wasn't an actual story😭

I was just wondering, when you create an original story like this from scratch, what does you creative process usually look like? Like is there anything you look at for inspiration before hand or are there certain things you like to figure out about the universe/characters first? Or does it just kinda happen? I definitely look to a lot of things for inspiration! I guess the story comes whenever i’m starting to sketch it out,i just find a idea i like and run with it!

I really like how you completely redefined the characters (respect the boldness to straight up scrap the old stuff), I think they turned out much more interesting and "edgy" in a good way and much better suited for actually interacting in gun and interesting ways.
