    What a great pairing from two brilliant photographers no fan boy hype just professional experience shining through. So rare on youtube. Do I want a Leica YES, do I want a X-Pro3 YES. Reality check cant afford either so just hope that the classic neg simulation is released for my X-T3 I would shoot with that all day long. Thanks both.

    The shot at 12:08 tho. So good. Also the flip down screen helps with shooting from the hip. Just flip the screen 90 degrees and walk around with the camera at the hip . Not only can you see your shot but it kinda helps stabilize the camera by pressing it against your body

    You said something that I 100% agree with at around the 10 minute mark. I definitely think that when you first get the X-Pro3 you want to look at that screen to see how things look etc but overtime that desire or need should fade away. Loving this video.

    I have a Sony a7iii and I love it for work but I just picked up an X Pro 1 with 35mm F2 and I am blown away by this camera. Sure it’s a slow camera but the images are out of this world. I wish I had tried Fuji sooner. The camera just makes me want to shoot photos. Another thing I love about it is the colors and tone curve straight out of the camera is so good. I am really impressed! Thanks for the video on the X Pro 3. It seems like a really good camera but I think I’ll just stick with the xpro 1 for now 😊

    I am also a Fuji shooter and torn on the xpro3 but I know i will have to give it a chance as I have missed my xpro2 since upgrading to the xt3. On the manual lens note of Leica. A quick fix is to of course adapt a Leica lens to x mount and enjoy the best of both. I will also have to list over Leica for a number of years. But I have to say I was excited to test one last week but only in store and was super fun..

    Dude...you ran into the same trip up I had when I was testing the X-Pro3. Changing settings without the screen immediately available definitely slowed me down. And you are right. With the Leica it has way less settings to fiddle around with so you don’t have to page through menus screens like you sometimes have to on the Fuji. Great observation. I agree it’s still a beautiful camera but yeah... the screen does give me mixed feelings as well. I’m gonna test it a lot more this month and see if I get used to it (while I hold my X-Pro2 tightly!)

    • @Stockezy
      @Stockezy  5 лет назад +1

      I'm hoping the initial need to tinker will wear off after having the camera for a couple weeks. Unfortunately when you get a brand new camera you really need to be seeing the screen constantly to build that trust. I need to know its doing exactly what I'm telling it to do as I'm responding to what's happening around me.

    • @petereprice
      @petereprice 5 лет назад +1

      I completely agree! Especially with all the new features in the new menu which they really packed this time. I guess Fuji encourages us to look through the viewfinder to work the menu. I’m not used to working that way but like you said...after a few weeks it could be second nature or better?

    Hi Enjoyed this, I owned XE1 but switched to M8 because the AF was so slow. I then had my M3 serviced at Leica and because I enjoyed it so much sold the M8, which I regret. Interested in the XP3 but slightly concerned about your Lag comment. Now in saying that I wonder if you can hook back up and try following. High Performance on, Shutter Release priority opposed to focus priority. (the camera still attempts focuses, but will shoot even if a Red focus box appears, I noticed that most action shooters with a Fuji use this mode, on the grounds that you're most likely get a green box). The XP3 has the ability to limit Focus distance between two points, I'm thinking this is the one that might make all the difference for street photography. And lastly M Fuji Mount adapter, which should work fast as there's no gas to move. Appreciate you don't own the XP3 so the above is only if you guys get a chance to follow up. Cheers.

    So when you’re adding a curve ,clarity and NR, those don’t get applied to the raw file correct? Only the JPEG’s (simulation). Because Raw files don’t have any user custom tweaks embedded, I always thought RAWs gave straight data from the sensor and the raw processing software gave the default look of the software manufacture (Capture rendering vs Lightroom rendering vs). So the curve and other tonal corrections look good on the back LCD at default brightness right? Is the LCD screen SRGB or Adobe 1998 or some Fuji custom color? I’d be curious to see what a Raw File looks like in capture one (w/ C1’s default profile) and a JPEG and a lossless tiff (which I think the camera can do internally). Thanks for the review. I'm waiting for my local store Dodd Camera to deliver my pre order. Then I can trade my Xpro2 in!

    • @Stockezy
      @Stockezy  5 лет назад

      Correct about the raw files but as far as the rest I’m not sure. The screen did give an accurate portrayal Of what I saw on my computer screen at import.

    Xpro3 makes me want to leave Fuji. Too many contradictions in this camera for me to spend the money on it. I have both a Digital and Film M I’ll be shooting with more. I WAS gonna actually sell the leica digital for the xpro3. They killed the OVF on it though, so Leica it is for daily carry and canon for event or work type stuff where I need AF. I actually just found out you can REALLY customize jpg profiles for canon and import them into your cameras user picture styles. Awesome stuff. Anyway, thanks for the honest review!

    • @Stockezy
      @Stockezy  5 лет назад

      I can def see your side of it. They added a ton of new features and controls to the camera but try to give a simplified exterior. I guess at the end of the day I didn't really need to tinker with any of the features.
      I use to import color profiles to my 70D all the time. Especially for video.

    • @ccoppola82
      @ccoppola82 5 лет назад +1

      Stockezy ya I mean, why give you all these great film sims and then hide the way you view them? I have no issue shooting with no screen btw, it just doesn’t seem to make sense on this camera. The worst thing about this camera is the way they ruined the OVF in order to enhance the EVF. I was (incorrectly) under the impression that the xpro line was so that people could use an OVF rather than EVF. That is it’s stand out feature I thought. Removing the magnification function and the frame lines for anything under 23mm just kills the camera for me. I don’t shoot much telephoto, but I’ve heard shooting with something a bit longer is impossible as well. Again, just some things that don’t make sense. Seems they tried to solve problems that didn’t exist.
