- Fel orcs are the WRONG color. It pisses me off big time... otherwise, everything else looks great. There is nothing huge that bothers me here. The Hydra actually is super weird with the huge ears.
Next video will be for the Dalaran creep units.

7:14 Honestly, WC3 mod understands what REMASTER is better. Some of models in reforge dont look like themselfs.
I keep saying that to everyone too. The mod is the real Remaster, Reforged is more like a whole new game. Its not coping WC3 very well, but its still cool to me i guess.. I just prefer the Mod more lol.
Its trying to stay true to WC3.

@Stormrage It's not even World of WarCraft continuity, because the WC3 Mod uses the actual character models of WoW instead of this generic bs.

Yepp, it will forever look great, even better at 1080p or 1440p. The old models look very sharp at high resolutions! :P
They have all this age and thus character. Every model of an old,good game that was played A LOT has that. Too bad the models of reforged will never have the chance to grow like that.
Its very weird what they have done to the Draenei, i used to like them more in War3. As i can see, in reforged, they even redone their architeture

The Marine is interesting. Mostly based on the SCR design, but a hint of the SC2 esthetic.
The Zerg however are GORGEOUS!
The Hydra is stuck with it's flaps open for some reason, but that Zergling is simply perfect!
The Hydra is fixed too. The new update fixed the ears. Its all great now. Warcraft 3 has better marines and zerg units than Starcraft 2. LOL
@@Starfals Makes me wish there was a Zealot unit in War3 honestly, would love to see animated blades in this style.

They fixed them now lol. I think it was either a mistake from BLizzard or a joke. Its ok now :P
It was a mistake,this is how,on lore and kinda in game in SC1,the old school hydralisks attacked. The animation has the hydralisk opening these things and shooting acid and spines. Probably because the spines were the main source of dmg,Abathur evolved the hydralisks to what they are in SC2. I like both,but the OG non-remastered SC1 hydralisk is the best,it has this combo of insectoid and reptile feel the other 2 don't. The hydraslisk of reforged still opens these "ears" in the attack animation and then closes them and then repeat.
What i especially like about reforged is that it provides seperate models for all The units that were just recolors in classic. It provides some interesting options when using The editor, although it also makes it weird-looking when you use imported models, wich is a shame. But eh, you can always change between Classic And reforged, so that’s not really a problem.
Yeah, i just wish it was more like Starcraft or Halo. I want 1 press of a button to switch between the old and the new.
Also ye, its so cool to finally see new models of units that just used the basic grunt or whatever units. Now everyone has a unique look, which is the best part of reforged imho!

Can you still import models in Reforged? As many models as there are, sometimes there just isn't something in-game that fits what you need.
Hmm, i'm not sure. I gotta check, but i think you still can? If you can, Reforged could be saved by the mods lol.

I love the new nether dragons,i know people will miss the old ones,but the new nether dragon remake is one of the best and has some kind of character with the shark heads. Lets hope they don't get forgotten.
Sure! They look great and now they got new spell effects on them as well. I just miss the old shadow bird as well. The new shark dragons are from WoW and i always loved them, i cant really complain ;p
@@Starfals i personally hope they get some love so that they can be considered as worthy as the old ones. They have the unique style,now what they're missing is been used so that they gain a character,a soul as some call it.

@@Starfals I know right? Those are ethereal otherworldly beings. With cool looking gaunt skeletal features. Back in the day when I was messing with world editor I could use their models as Efreet unit. Now I doubt that.

The comparison for the *Lost Draenei* at 3:08 is unfair. The models on the left and the right are *Lost Draenei* , while the current WoW model shown in the middle is a *Krokul* model. These are similar but technically different species. The broken and the lost are mutated *Draenei*, which are descendant from *Eredar*. the Krokuul are mutated Eredar, not Draenei, which is why they are slightly different.
Eredar -> Draenai -> Broken -> Lost Ones
Eredar-> Krokul.
Yea i know, but still. Some people dont know that and wanted to see them in the comparisons :) Its great that at least someone knows the differences between them!

the SC2 mod for WC looks better in terms of fidelity, seems like they gave no shit about the remake.
There is effort put to the models and all,but there was rush from above,so they did what they could with the limited money and time if i am informed well.
@@fotismanolopoulos1098 They've put too much effort put into making them look realistic, anatomically and texture wise... when in reality they should've looked closer to what the original game was. The same stuff they did for SC2. Idk why they took such a drastic direction.
@@RefractArt it was supposed to be a hole rework even for them back when the project started. When the cuts in time and money started, changing it all to a reskin,they had probably already made the most of the models,so they couldn't do much. I know they learnt what was happening before us,but it was still a giant change in their work,so, yeah,I can't blame them,at least they did their best.
Reforge voidwalker looks a bit off imo.
The icecream walkers look a TON off :P

The reforged one has lower polygons for some items like the belt and gloves, and the colors of the mod look a bit better to me as well.
I think the hammer also looks kind of low
@@Starfals I find it very strange that Thrall, one of the most prominent characters in WC3's story, has one of the worst reforged models I've seen when it comes to quality

why's there starcraft characters in warcraft?
Easter Eggs i guess, they love to put those in their RTS engines. WC3 had Starcraft units, and Starcraft 2 has Warcraft 3 units.

Wait till you see Starcraft 2 War3HD models especially for demons. They are spot on.
W3 mod version is made in the same style as old good W3 just looks better.
W3 Reforged on the other hand went into more realistic style (like in cinematics).
I like both styles and I would be happy to be able to play in both :)
