What are some things you do before going to a campground?
When we travel, as we start transitioning to downsizing, we like to put food things closer to the driving area (we have a hatchback), so we don't have to get out to reach a cooler.
I also like your idea of putting your shades up before you get to your spot. That way it's already done and no awkward moments.
I also like having a change of clothes in a small packing cube under my seat. Just a pair of jeans, top & socks.
We did a mountain trail getaway and I made a menu of things that could easily 'go' with little prep but not heavy & all the items deconstructed to keep the soggy away (spinach wraps, squash & zucchini swirls, diced protein, & lots of fresh fruits & grain snacks to avoid any sugar crashes.)
I LOVE your collapsing teapot. I brought my water warmer, but it still took up a little space.
Once we start using campgrounds, we'll definitely ensure to continue prepping easy fix meals.

Your presentations are so relaxing. My daughter and I car camp (with 3 dogs) in a sienna van and I am so jealous of how neat you van stays. We are getting better but it's definitely a journey of trial and error (-; I'm vegan and your meal prep looks so good!

Yes 😊, I’ve done a few Q&A’s answering most of these questions. I think I have a Q&A playlist you can check out, plus I just made a video about how I live comfortably in a tiny van that discusses toilets & showers. I make my own deodorant using baking soda, coconut oil, & essential oils. I wash my hair in the gym shower.

I hadn't even heard of reusable paper towels or solid dishsoap before you mentioned them, I may need to try those. I do use reusable ziplocs though, love those. I start minivan life soon and I'm nervous about emptying my grey water as I'll often be in the city, I hope it's not too difficult as I've heard it can be frowned upon. You've definitely inspired me with the candlelight, I'm going to be bringing some beeswax candles☺ When you say campground I'm guessing you mean free campsites as I think you mentioned that's what you do before... I wonder if you ever feel scared, I'm definitely rather scared about camping in the middle of nowhere by myself, even though I really want to do it.
By the way, an idea is to use citric acid instead of vinegar to clean as it's easier to carry the powder to dilute vs the large bottles and also produces less waste from buying the bottles👌
I've been living in vehicles for almost 4 years now and most of it has been in a major city. I typically wait until it's late at night and no one is in the parking lot. Then, I pour it out in a sewage drain, if I can find one, or in a grassy area. No one has said anything to me, yet.
I talk about feeling scared in the video I'm uploading tomorrow, but for the most part, I don't. I remain cautious and aware of my surroundings, but try not to think about bad situations that can happen. And thanks for the citric acid idea! Just added that to my grocery list to try it out 😊 .

I don't camp, I live in my house on my own (no children and my 2 siblings live in other states not close by). I live a quiet life like you and have my regular routines. I also eat very similar to you. I cook 95% of my meals and go out on rare occasions. I made curried lentils/dahl soup yesterday ...added some dumplings since I didn't have potatoes. Sooo good. I'll have leftovers tomorrow with rice. Your videos are very good. Relaxing and well presented!!!! Thank you for sharing.

If you haven't already, try 100% beeswax candles instead. They burn clean and last longer. Much better for your lungs.
I looked for beeswax candles online, but they weren't in a glass container and that might make a mess in my van. I'll keep looking for some, but for now I've found some candles made solely from coconut wax, soy wax, and essential oils. They're supposed to be clean burning. I like them, so far.

Would you explain how you handle mail and pick up “boxes”?
I have a P.O. Box for regular mail. My mail just sits there until I’m back in that city to pick it up. I receive most of my important mail/documents via email, so I don’t rely on my P.O. Box for much. If I need to order something, I always order from Amazon because they have pickup hubs throughout the country.
They have different kinds of siphons.. (am i spelling that right?) Like ones for gas that has a hand pump mid tube, or ones for fish tanks that just suck water right up. I wonder how well it would work for your water transferring setup
There's one on A mazon called siphon pro. It's manual and would be simple to store when not in use to keep clean.

What does the honey and the turmeric mask do? Soes it make your face moisturize, remove wrinkles, tighten your skin, what's it's purpose
I use it to help remove dark spots on my skin. My face feels very moisturized afterwards, though...I think from the honey.

How will the reusable bags make life easier for you?, your going to have to constantly wash them as well as the cloth towels? Just wondering. I know it’s cheaper but it looks like more work?
Well, what makes van life easier in that part of the video was using amazon hubs to pick up orders and timing the pickup for when I leave my previous campground, so I’m not waiting around for packages. It wasn’t about the items I ordered.
But to answer your question, anything that saves me money makes my life easier, lol. I get what you’re saying, though. For you, it’s more work, which makes life harder. For me, it’s money saving, which is helpful. I’m not washing the bags every day and I have enough towels to last me until laundry day, so it hasn’t added much more work than usual.
In your experience-Are the Gym showers typically Clean?
They are not the cleanest. I try not to think about it, lol. I ALWAYS were shower shoes and will spray the shower with the cleaning spray if they provide it.
