I’m shocked I was able to upload this video. I’ve experienced SO many technical issues over the last week. My main camera is broken, my cell phone kept refusing to upload the footage I filmed, my DJI camera wouldn’t upload footage, my laptop crashed every hour, I spent half of Friday on the phone with Apple and DJI, Final Cut Pro corrupted my video when I downloaded it, and then RUclips stopped uploading my video halfway through the upload process. Jeesh! I didn’t get this video uploaded until 3am. Here it is, though…somehow. I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday ❤. I appreciate you.
Well, you just keep having chances to prove to yourself just how strong GOD made you. Shedding tears of frustration is natural and nothing to be embarrassed about. I can definitely relate to the feeling of being different. We appreciate you, too.
Woahhh… that is some effort you put into this!! It can be so so frustrating when ‘everything’ seems to conspire against the task we want to complete Your tenacity paid off! Many thanks for another beautiful video with your focus on ‘real van life’ … this is what I come here for.. I started following you when you lived in your car, and have always been so admiring of your persistence, and your calm demeanour… when I ‘grow up’ 😂 I would like to have the character traits of you and Lady Bugout (another van dweller) …
Monique, never feel bad about crying. It isn't a sign of weakness, it's a sign that you are a feeling, sensitive human being. I know everyone who watches your videos can empathize and relate to you. I sure can! It was very brave of you to share....sending much love from California, from a fellow introvert. 💞
I spent 5 hrs at the local park yesterday and walked 7.1 miles💚💛🧡 I just flat out talk to myself! People look at me funny! I could care less what they think
I find this hilarious in remembering back to when I first noticed people starting to talk aloud in the grocery store, and they would say, "hello, hello," and I would turn and say, "hey! How are you?" Only to realize that they're trying to speak to someone on a phone. 😂 Now, I just answer them whether they are talking to me or not. I have no idea, but at least I spoke. Re: talking to self...I started looking at it as I'm never really talking to myself..... Because somewhere someone out there who looks like me is talking to me, too!😊 Makes sense to me!🎉 P.S. Good for you on the 7+ mile walk! I'm up to about 4 miles a day walking the halls of my elementary school when they're clear of little legs.
What an incredibly real video. Thank you for sharing and trusting us. I literally laughed and cried with you. The story of the girl sitting by you and security was priceless.
It’s nice to have a community of people who think the same as you do, you’re never truly alone 💕 Just remember, this is only a bump in the larger plan you have for yourself!
Our miracles are about to come to fruition so hang tough Monique! So many of us are in the same place either in a van, house, car, truck, street! I’m here to help you keep your head up! I appreciate you also!!!!! There are no coincidences! It’s just another test Sister MuchLove Colette
I completely understand. I also don’t fit into a box. ‘Where are you from?, has never been a simple question to answer. People want to put you in a box and when you don’t fit, things often get awkward.. We are outliers because of how we think and our unique upbringing. Big hugs, Sis.
I go through similar. My whole life feeling like I a a stranger in a strange land. For me, it turns out I am neurodivergent. It took figuring out that the folks I found I vibed with the best have always been a tribe of folks who were basically also this, hahahah. So now when I go through all the trials and tribulations I now know it's just that I really AM different and that's totally okay. I don't have to try to figure it out as much. Now I do everything I can to prioritise my solitude, do my own thing unapologetically and feel my feels (or not) and explore the world on my terms as best as possible. We as humans want to connect, just not all of us want to do it in the same ways... I enjoy your content so much. It is very soothing to watch.
My beautiful young sister, you have such a beautiful blessed spirit. I know the Most High is watching over every aspect of your life. You are a true inspiration for women of all ages. I salute your honesty, integrity and that you are transparent and real. Just keep being you, love ya beautiful
I relate to so few humans I was starting to wonder about me. It was very refreshing to hear someone else express a lot of the feelings I’ve only expressed to my dog.
I can totally relate to you feeling different, not being able to do small talk, being an introvert, a “cave woman”, living in isolation, not being understood. I am all of that. I also have had to “pretend” to be like the “others”. It is draining. Now I don’t care anymore, not worth the exhaustion. Those who follow you surely can also relate. You are not alone 🤗💕
If you like parking around semi trucks in certain places you would probably benefit from Trucker Path which is a free app meant for truckers but useful for Rovers, Van Lifers as well because it shows you location and info regarding parking places like Walmarts, Lowe’s, truck stops, rest areas and has a comment review section for others previous feedback/experience. Im a retired trucker which my channel was dedicated toward. I was solo cross country so I know about keeping safe and how to find parking for semi and van living as I’ve done that too. The way you explained to us where you’re from is a perfect answer “nowhere and everywhere”. I love that actually.
It seems like you're experiencing a range of emotions, mainly when things don't go as planned. For instance, your camera isn't working, and you're also having issues with your iPad. It's normal to feel frustrated or cry when things don't go smoothly; sometimes, it can feel like everything is falling apart. It is common for people, including myself, to talk to themselves frequently. I find that practicing meditation and taking time to decompress help me better manage my emotions. I enjoyed watching this video and am excited to see the upcoming episodes. 💜💜💜💜
This was particularly relatable! I don't have the standard, 'acceptable to much of society', answers to those questions either, and I often feel awkward because of other's reactions to anything outside of their comfort zone. I'm not a van lifer, but I love watching your channel, along with others. I enjoy seeing others living differently. I love the travel aspect and vicariously visiting more places too. Content matters, but who people are - specifically their authenticity - makes a channel worth watching for me. Thank you for sharing. Glad you made a nice connection with Charmaine (not sure if I spelt the name correctly). Good luck getting the camera fixed. Hi from Scotland, UK, by the way. 👋
Emotions are what makes us humans.. I got emotional the other day as well ,and at the same time I felt grateful for actually having those feelings. Thanks for sharing your videos!
I'm a dad, I have a home, I live in a big city, a Christian, but I find you relatable. Like, if your spirit was giving off a frequency that you feel is maybe undetectable, it's not. You are not weird. The frequency thing is a weird analogy to use by I won't delete it coz I sense you'll get it. Stay safe out there and praying you hit your short-term and long-term goals.
I’m a new subscriber and I thoroughly enjoy your videos. You are so poised and strong. You are also intelligent , soft and vulnerable. What a beautiful spirit you are. 🤗
I am in my 70’s and bc of language barrier and culture difference’s I tried for decades to assimilate to American culture but could not! It’s been 50 yrs of torment for me bc ppl don’t understand me and I can’t understand their way of thinking! So I’ve been isolated all these decades but now I finally have free from trying to assimilate! It’s only by the grace of God that I’ve been freed. I really enjoy listening to you bc you make so much sense. Stay safe.
I've always considered myself a non conformist. Outsider, walking past, cause most outsiders looking wondering what they're missing. Express what you need to express when you need to express it
It is okay too cry. You are kind and sensitive. Your videos are wonderful and I appreciate. All the work you put into them. With editing and any problems that come up. In addition to working and cooking also cleaning. Don’t be so hard on yourself honey.
Hugs from another that "holds breath/tears in", My ford transit connect passenger is micro mini, Im just now creating my sacred buggy on wheels. I appreciate your honest, authentic expression. I understand you!! more HUGS, i know no strangers, thank you for sharing, ur fellow introvert.
Monique, dear - I just watched this video - late I know - but I'm so glad I did. We are so blessed to have someone so gentle and truthful to tell us all about vanlife and ALL its realities. Your tears are perfectly understandable - you experienced true compassion as you've rarely experienced it outside your immediate family. Those of us who are different in any significant way - even not so obvious ones - can totally understand the tears of feeling like someone finally understands... 🥺 💖 🙏🏼 I pray many blessings come your way, for you are such a beautiful and helpful creation from God.
Thank you for sharing all of these unforeseen events. These things happen , I believe, to challenge us. I feel that God knows how strong you are . These things just make you stronger . You handled the young lady well, the camera breaking, the men standing outside your vehicle. You did a great job because you share your day with us and it’s truly amazing to me how you get through with a sweet smile! God bless you sweetheart. God has you . He loves you . Keep doing what you’re doing and continue to stay bold. You are bold and confident, I love that ! April ❤ Va
Thank you for sharing. I was so honored to receive the replies from you 😊. YT is a very special place where people who are authentic will always connect with others on a whole other level. Unfortunately, this is why I had to temporarily stop my channel… however I do look forward to my return soon! 🙌🏽 I really appreciate the YT community of positive, supportive people! I’ve been fortunate to have formed some very solid friendships with people I actually met and keep in touch with IRL. As humans we are all connected when we are truly ourselves! 🩷 The camera button is wild! I hope that you get your camera back soon. I am glad that you were able to send it back for repair/replacement.
It is suspicious as heck that that girl was interrogating you on your address. WTH? Like once you said your city, what is the pressure? What you just said about the military brat thing is the perfect answer. I am a military brat, I live everywhere. I am glad you are finally normalizing crying in front of people. Vulnerability is power. It is not natural to hold back tears. Amen it is therapeutic indeed! Blessings
Thank you for this video, Monique. I completely understand how you feel. I've felt awkward most of my life also. I'm social sometimes but prefer not to be. I totally get it. Love your videos. Thank you 😊
Omg Monique this made me emotional too ! It was so nice meeting you. Your truly beautiful inside and out. I know exactly what you mean about intrusive questions. I get the same way when people start asking tons of questions. It can be very overwhelming. I'm so glad you feel comfortable sharing with all of my us. I'm truly touched ❤
I wish we could have an awkward people meet-up! I appreciate you keeping it real for us, not the stereotypical social media perfect portrayal. May you be blessed with peace, safety, and good health.
Gurl! When u said ur dad is the only one that cries in front of the family....I fell out 😂. I wasn't expecting that. I know that's right pops, let it out! 🖤
Continue to be you. Most if not all of us, have our issues. I am 71 and still struggle with feeling comfortable in my skin. My feelings help me to be far more compassionate with others who struggle as well. ❤
I feel like you just described my entire life and my entire personality. I'm so tired of the awkward looks because of my answers. If no one else understands, God understands. I love you listening to you speak. I appreciate your aunthenticity. Shalom.
Every time I watch you, you warm my heart. You’re so authentically you. You present as very grounded in the present and yearning for grown and knowledge. You’re an inspiration to me and I’m sure nearly all of us watching. Thanks for sharing and being a source of light on this platform. 🤍
Honestly, Please do not judge a book by its cover. May be the girl you met would have loved to know your experiences and would have found it super cool and inspiring. I feel you yourself feel more awkward about it and that makes you feel others would, too. Give them a chance, even though you may have had bad experiences with some, most people love to hear about experiences they don't (or cannot) have. You are such a badass, strong-headed, insprirational woman. You are doing what many of us don't. I would love to randomly bump into someone like you (although, may be you won't being an introvert 🙂)
its okay to cry ❤ it feels like in that moment your inner child came out bcuz they were coming to terms w that feeling. also your struggle as a hermit/introvert is relatable as an adhd/autistic person, its hard to find ppl who can fully *see* & *understand*
The part where you made a friend reminded me that while being in solitude is so important, connecting with like minded people is part of the nourishment our mind, body, and spirit seek🤍🙏🏽
You are such a beautiful person. Don't change for anyone but... yourself. Been misunderstood most of my life. Now that I'm older, it's not such priority/burden anymore. Take care. Be safe.
Hi Monique! I wanted to say thanks for sharing because of your experiences I’ve been able to start my van living journey and it’s been so freeing. I love that you show the hard parts too because it is! But it is also so much fun. I appreciate you thank you
I’m so glad that you have this channel. I’m blessed you met someone who gets you. You have to be extremely brave to do what you’re doing. The sacrifice you make daily to meet your end goal takes discipline and courage. Take care of yourself.
Awwwwwww those are healthy tears! Emotions make you cry sometimes and it's OKAY! Plus I get in my feelings before my cycle too...I be like WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!! But it's okay. I love your videos they are so Genuine! Continue to be Blessed ❤
*hugggzzz* Those tears are cleansing. IAm that odd Human* out in myFamily and in general. As I grew older I began 2Love myDifferences. ThankHz for sharing Sister Mother Monique. Wholeness n Essence of Love ((-;
Hi there. I’m a newer sub and absolutely love your videos. Honestly we have not much in common. I’m a french Canadian with kids your age. I don’t live a nomadic life. I do, however, see a beautiful girl ( inside and out) and find myself cheering you on and praying for you . Keep being you and never, ever worry about what others think about you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow listening to your story it made me re-evaluate the kinds of questions I'll ask as I get to know new acquaintences. I heard someone do a talk where they were comparing and contrasting how people from different cultures find certain questions really invasive and rude. And it struck a deep chord in me. Really made me think. I stopped asking certain questions to new acquaintences then, and now I have several more to add to the list.
Monique 🌞 Good Morning and thank you so much for sharing this video with us. I know it was difficult to show emotion because of how you grew up. Even though you can’t see us… we see and understand you in many ways and I personally am thankful for that. Don’t beat yourself up for being “awkward” because in reality, we are all awkward in one way or another. Some are just better at dealing with it. What you might consider “awkward”, most may consider it unique and that’s what draws us to being faithful subscribers. I know the camera situation sucks, but you were still able to get past it in order to push your videos out. We absolutely love watching your content so your efforts are appreciated. Remember, pressure bursts pipes so it’s okay to cry and show emotion sometimes instead of trying to hold it in. Some days will be better than others and that’s okay. Every beautiful flower 🌹 needs water to grow… so it’s gotta rain 🌧️. We are here whenever you need to chat or get things off your chest. I look forward to your next post. Be safe out there and thanks again for sharing with us. 🖤
I can totally relate to feelings when you are the odd one & the strange tears you feel when someone touches your heart. I too just want to cry when everything seems to go wrong, or even just one thing no matter if it’s small & I have to talk myself out of it like I’m going over a ledge. But you Feel & that’s what is important ….so many people are out of touch with themselves & don’t even know it
I personally am very impressed by your determination to go for what you want. I had an old friend who gave me an assessment of my personality. When I told him that I was an introvert. He told me that I suffered from PTSD. I'm like me for childhood abuse by my mother that hated my father, and I looked just like him. I think that he said that, because I have little problem talking when I want to. You can talk when you want to. You are extroverting yourself by showing your life. I always remember that knowledge is power. Few people have the courage to do what you are doing. Be proud of it. This is the land of the free and the home of the brave. Ask them! They'll tell you! You must always be vigilante. Crackerbox or not. That's what I consider apartment living. Some billion getting rich off of draining my resources. Keep on MOVING girl!
You are the 1st Muslim woman who has a van life. This is admirable! I am very intetested in living in a tiny house with my cats some day. I want a big garden, tbh. 😁 I gotta say that I chsnged from being an introvert into an extrovert over the years. I am happy talking with people just for the sake of making jokes (I mainly make the jokes and study their reactions). But I live like an hermit with my 2 cats. I enjoy the healing moments of silence.
Friend, I get you! I’ve been a follower since your Buick. Cry when you need to.. it cleans out your tear ducts! I too am an introvert. I’d rather be home than out dealing with others. I do hope the next week gets better for you! 😊
I should not be laughing this hard 😂 I’m literally cracking up because I’m the same way like m’am I don’t know where I live okay and work?! Child whatever gig I feel like doing that day
Stay Blessed 🙏🏾❤ I wish I was there to give you a hug and a shoulder to cry on don't feel shame to let your tears flow🙏🏾 God understands you sister 💕 😘
I used to cry in sujood. Now that my R knee has been replaced, getting down on my knees is challenging, and I truly, truly miss being able to prostrate before my Rabb. A belated Eid Mubarak to you btw. May He (swt) guide, guard & protect you as only He can.
I feel your pain. Crying is very healing...I hate to cry in front of people too...but I am a huge introverted recluse and have my moments when things get overwhelming & I will have my cry sessions. I can relate to feeling misunderstood as well. People just don't understand introverts & loners and act as if isolation is such a bad thing...not for me!! I thrive being alone. Sending you hugs and positive vibes...and appreciate you sharing your vulnerability with us. You are not alone in this...many of us can relate & understand. We all may have our different circumstances, but experience exactly what you have described! I love your genuiness and honesty!! Sending Peace, Love, & Light!!✌️✨💖✨
We love you, Monique ❤❤❤ I think people should figure out other conversation starters or questions to ask that aren't so personal until they get to know a person.
Hello beautiful. You are not weird. There is nothing wrong with being an introvert. I'm outgoing and too friendly, but relate to anyone. When I meet people who ask too many questions that I don't want to answer, I smile & politely say I'd rather not answer. Don't feel compelled to answer every question a stranger ask. It's okay to cry when you need to. I can't wait for you to buy your land & hopefully share your experience. I pray your camera is fixed quickly & you have safe & fun travels. Our cycles will have our emotions all over the place . I'm sure not having your things organized & upcoming cycle played a major role with your mood . Many blessings.❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for being so honest with us. It's refreshing. Girl, a good cry is necessary. It's a cleanser and it helps us know when there are things we need to work through. I can relate with being the "black sheep" in my family. No one gets me. I have no doubt you'll find your tribe. RUclips makes the world smaller. A word on blue light blocker glasses. Get them ASAP. The moment I started using one, no more headaches, no more night glare from other vehicles. Can't recommend enough. Keep doin yo thang, girl. Thanks for taking us along with you. Hope the camera thing works out well and quickly for you. Blessings.
Yes blue light is a real thing, and it emanate from all screens. Blue light blocks melatonin, the hormone that makes you sleepy, and increases the hormone that keeps you awake. Also, eye strain from looking at bright screens for ling periods can definitely give you a headache. I would try turning down the brightness. That helped me. God bless you and keep you safe!

Hi from Scotland, UK, by the way. 👋
Hi 👋🏾 and thank you ❤️.
Omg her videos are so relaxing, unintentional asmr. When she put that choir type music I nodded off
lol
It’s okay Monique! It happens to me regularly and I don’t have a period!

You did a great job because you share your day with us and it’s truly amazing to me how you get through with a sweet smile! God bless you sweetheart. God has you . He loves you . Keep doing what you’re doing and continue to stay bold. You are bold and confident, I love that !

The camera button is wild!
Thank you 😊
❤️
I understand how you feel, I feel like the girl is the only one who didn’t make you feel scrutinized. You’re beautiful and absolutely normal ❤
You really earned whatever joy you got from that beautiful meal! What a rough couple of days & then of course time of the month comes along
Thank you, Charmaine 😊😊❤️.
Shalom.
Thank you ❤️. Shalom.
Every time I watch you, you warm my heart. You’re so authentically you. You present as very grounded in the present and yearning for grown and knowledge. You’re an inspiration to me and I’m sure nearly all of us watching. Thanks for sharing and being a source of light on this platform. 🤍
Thank you so much ❤️
I’m happy that you met Charmaine!
I look forward to your videos!
You’re more than welcome! ☮️💟
Me, too! Thank you 😊
Honestly, Please do not judge a book by its cover.
I totally understand how u feel Monique. ❤❤❤
Ya gotta love #solovanlife #community Blessings dear one🌱
That looked really good at the end, thank you for sharing a sliver of your life with me🔥👍🏿✋🏿
Thanks for being transparent. I am trying RV living in May in NJ and NY.
The part where you made a friend reminded me that while being in solitude is so important, connecting with like minded people is part of the nourishment our mind, body, and spirit seek🤍🙏🏽
You have such a peaceful spirit, it hurt me to hear you cry. Everything must change🙌🏾
You can only do. Your. Best. Don’t. Worry. About the. Rest ❤️
I have been watching your videos for a while and you do not seem weird to me...I get what you are saying and stay safe
I appreciate you thank you
Hi ❤️
I’m so glad that you have this channel. I’m blessed you met someone who gets you. You have to be extremely brave to do what you’re doing. The sacrifice you make daily to meet your end goal takes discipline and courage. Take care of yourself.
Awwwwwww those are healthy tears! Emotions make you cry sometimes and it's OKAY! Plus I get in my feelings before my cycle too...I be like WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!! But it's okay. I love your videos they are so Genuine! Continue to be Blessed ❤
*hugggzzz* Those tears are cleansing. IAm that odd Human* out in myFamily and in general. As I grew older I began 2Love myDifferences. ThankHz for sharing Sister Mother Monique. Wholeness n Essence of Love ((-;
Thank you ❤️
I enjoy watching your videos, it’s so soothing. 🙏🏾
So much of your video I can personally relate to. Love the transparency.❤🙏🏾
Oh baby, l know the feeling. Let it go. Let it flow. Understandable. Much love from Neptune City New Jersey !😊
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Awww, I can relate to you so much!! You made me wanna cry when you started crying. I totally GET IT!!
I love that I came across your page. It is so refreshing to follow an awesome person such as yourself who is real and true to themselves. ❤
Monique 🌞
Good Morning and thank you so much for sharing this video with us.
Much Luv daughter! The struggle is real
I can totally relate to feelings when you are the odd one & the strange tears you feel when someone touches your heart. I too just want to cry when everything seems to go wrong, or even just one thing no matter if it’s small & I have to talk myself out of it like I’m going over a ledge. But you Feel & that’s what is important ….so many people are out of touch with themselves & don’t even know it
I understand you very well 😌 and I send you all my love 🤲🤗. Always forward 👣👣. Thank you for being the way you are 🙏.
❤️
So greatful for you! You're such a blessing.
Thank you ❤️
You are the 1st Muslim woman who has a van life.
I’m a blackjack dealer. Every time someone ask where I’m from.. I lie 😂😂 I hate when they ask so many personal questions.
I should not be laughing this hard 😂 I’m literally cracking up because I’m the same way like m’am I don’t know where I live okay and work?! Child whatever gig I feel like doing that day
lol!
Thanks Monique. best wishes.
Stay Blessed 🙏🏾❤ I wish I was there to give you a hug and a shoulder to cry on don't feel shame to let your tears flow🙏🏾 God understands you sister 💕 😘
Sending hugs
It was ok to include your feelings
I watch you because you are you😉
Thank you
Sorry you had so many technical issues!
I used to cry in sujood. Now that my R knee has been replaced, getting down on my knees is challenging, and I truly, truly miss being able to prostrate before my Rabb. A belated Eid Mubarak to you btw. May He (swt) guide, guard & protect you as only He can.
Eid Mubarak ❤️
❤️
We love you, Monique ❤❤❤
I think people should figure out other conversation starters or questions to ask that aren't so personal until they get to know a person.
Let it out, if you feel like crying, cry. Don't hold it in.
This vlog ❤ you are a special person. Thank you for your perseverance in creating and uploading your video 🐢
Great food as always
❤️
Blessings.
Thanks for the info! I'm going to order some soon.
Keep your head up ❣️ your are just living life
Yes blue light is a real thing, and it emanate from all screens. Blue light blocks melatonin, the hormone that makes you sleepy, and increases the hormone that keeps you awake. Also, eye strain from looking at bright screens for ling periods can definitely give you a headache. I would try turning down the brightness. That helped me. God bless you and keep you safe!
Thank you!
Hey girl, i know how u feel being very different from others there's nothing wrong with that being authentic, and unique that's how god created us😊
I see you and I are alike in a way When I’m Frustrated I go straight to bed . I always do this and start fresh the next day ❤
❤️
