He probably will be on the show. I just remembered on the infamous podcast, Punk took what many might consider a subliminal shot at Jericho. Jericho responded and that was that.
Smart decision. He was aware of what's coming if he will be drafted to the main roster. No matter how talented you are, from WWE/Vince's point of view, small guy = no draw.
I’ve been waiting for this interview for so long. I remember an Adam Cole interview with WhatCulture from back in 2016 where Cole said “Bay Bay” was influenced by his love for Chris Jericho. 5 years later he says it on his idol’s podcast. I can’t imagine how awesome that had to feel.

Nobody wants to see Inner circel vs the elite, we already have that and we deserve better than repeat unless you like repeat match like the WWE like to repeat match on Raw and Smack every week for 10 year straight
I like how people can now see how charismatic he is in AEW, I'm not starting any Brand Wars I'm just saying alot of people didn't ever get the opportunity to see him prop up NXT that now do have the opportunity to see it in AEW and he has alot of miles left in the business and that is a credit to himself and his work ethic
I'm glad he identified that key problem with WWE and left before he had to deal with it like so many others who left or were fired. Imagine being completely over, then going up to the main brand where there is a bigger audience and having everything that got you over stripped away. Then you are fired later for not getting over when it was completely out of your hands. That's not worth the risk. Plus he had Britt coming home every week, happy as can be, cause she is being used properly and gets to use her full potential. In a company that has his friends as EVPs. It's like deciding to got to work or retire with full financial benefits. Gets paid to have fun and he can spend more time with Britt.
That’s scary to change his name to make him as Keith’s manager he dodged a bullet for sure I think Vince has to let these young stars be what made them great not change them
He would make more money in WWE. But he needed to feek like a 9 year old kid again. He wanted to feel alive. He knew the main roster wouldn't let him feel these things. He did the right thing going to AEW. Also class act of Cole to actually have respect for Vince and didn't just diss him.
He would make more money in WWE, but in AEW he's more in control of his own destiny on things that make money away from wrestling. He can do his streaming stuff, he can work dates with other promotions if he feels like it. I think it's a lot better for him at the end of the day, and lets him spend more time with his partner Britt.
I feel one of the ways that’s making me more focused on AEW is that when they debut and during matches, graphics, video packages and commentary put over that they have won titles elsewhere, (I know the mainly mention Impact, NJPW, NWA, ROH) but it lets me know as a viewer “oh this shit person is a huge deal? Maybe I’ll watch a few episodes to see how good they are or float my boat” WWE ignores it’s owns talent accomplishments. They hardly mentioned Keith Lee was NA AND NXT champion at the same time? They needlessly shorten names and change themes. Can anyone honestly tell me when they have made a change and it’s made them successful? I genuinely don’t know
Adam Cole did the right thing by headed to AEW. Because if WWE did name him as Keith Lee’s manager by possibly a name change or new look then it’ll ruin his career if he would’ve stayed in WWE and jump into main roster. He’s a true main eventer put some respect on his name!
Like Keith Lee. They changed his look a little and changed his music! His music was badass! Then they changed it. I love Keith Lee, Tony Khan, please get him! Adam, Chris, you all are fantastic! I grew up watching WWE but I’m an AEW guy now. When you see the wrestlers are able to be organic, it shows through our tv screens. And that’s what makes true magic.
It’s not so much about what they did to Kross, but it has to do with the fans. The majority of the main roster fans are casual fans, women and children. They don’t care about these new guys that have worked all over the world and that had success in NXT. They only care about your basic guys/girls like reigns, Sasha, bayley, lesnar, cena, Goldberg etc…which is why they don’t receive a reaction at all when guys like kross make they’re main roster debut. As much as they try to push some of these great talent on the main roster, and if they don’t get a response from the crowd, then they will be kept in catering. Guarantee you that if kross had the same gimmick on NXT or any other promotion, he would be well received by the crowd. But unfortunately, the main roster fans are what kills careers in wwe when they don’t react to them, but scream at the top of their lungs when people like cena, lesnar, Goldberg, Sasha, Becky etc…show up.
what they do to karrion kross? they make him bigger star. Sometime you just have to trust experience people at what they do and how to sell to people that you are big star
I was sad that Adam cole left wwe because I thought they use him right in the main roster so much hype and potential but the more I hear about his future plans so glad he left
Imagine having Adam Cole and telling him "hey you know that name of yours that goes with BAYBAY and the BOOM gimmick could use some changing. "We're thinking 'Adam Colbert and you'll be Bearcat's manager!"
Can’t really say that when he didn’t debut in the main roster. Most likely would’ve had the Rollins or styles treatment but what ever I’m glad he’s with the elite
@Blade Runner also man i dont think you realize vince really runs a business, and when times were tough adam cole very well helped out, he would've been treated nicely such as styles doing 3 back to back shows from the states to the country.
yes if adam cole stay in WWE then he will have to change name because Michael Cole is commentator and nobody want confusion because a lot of people do not know adam cole and would think it is michael cole brother or son. So a name change would be need, also michael cole is in WWE first so....
@@hstyleff Are WWE fans all retarded, or does WWE just treat them like ones? Because I don't see a single AEW fan who thought Brian Cage and Christian Cage were related, lmao. People in real life share names all the time.

Ah that's why the Boom is in his theme cause he does it before he goes into the Adam Cole Bay bayyy so that correlates with the song and his boom ah I understand that now. 😅👍
I think he would of been great in a manger role. I know this is unpopular opinion. Just hear me out before you lynch me. Sami Zayn became a mouth piece (manger)for Nakumura. Zayn doing that opened up a lot of opportunities for him. He ended up winning the IC title. Had a very good match against Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania defending his IC title. He took time off cause of the pandemic. He then came back and won the IC title in a great triple threat ladder match at clash of champions beating AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy. He has more creative control then he’s ever had. Not full but seems he has more then most. He also recently won the IC for the 3rd time. I know he lost it recently but the point is Zayn took a manger role that I’m sure he didn’t want. He did it and put his all into it and it elevated him. I feel Adam Cole could of done the same. It’s a shame we’ll never find out.
Adam Cole isn't my favorite wrestler (cool dude, good wrestler, just doesn't click for me), but I know one thing: Do not change Adam Cole. Just sign him and print money.
He went with friends and family...smart choice. Hell just look at Britt's Instagram and you see pics of the Elite and her and Adam together even when he was on NXT. They remained close ever since Bullet Club on NJPW. I would have been more shocked if he had stayed in WWE
Notice that Chris mentioned that WWE should make a big deal about NXT call-ups by mentioning that they were former champions in NXT. The problem is that for some weird reason, the main shows rarely ever mention that with the call-ups. It’s even worse when you have guys like Karrion Kross who was an NXT champ while simultaneously on the main roster, yet RAW didn’t mention any storyline continuity with NXT. Puzzling.
To make any changes as to Adam Cole's persona would have been a huge mistake. He is the star that he is because of how he has been presented since he began, himself.
Name change? I don’t blame him for leaving then, that’s part of his character that will never go away. Just like Bryan Danielson with the Yes movement, he’s gotta find something different now that he’s out of WWE. Punk has to do the same otherwise the “WWE did me wrong is getting old”
Adam had some of the best NXT Matches ever and the fact Vince and creative wanted to drastically change his character and image was straight up disrespectful

Yup definitely. A play on Adam Bomb the old wwf wrestler. Plus it’s just lazy lol. As far as dumb name changes go I’m more inclined to Adam BayBay lol
I think the WWE creative team are a bunch of kids who watch too many kid friendly shows... Adam Boom?! Holy f****** s***!!! 🤦
Adam Cole Bay Bay is one of the biggest stars in the entire business and so many people like myself didn’t know it while he was in NXT
It's all about tha BOOM🔥🔥🔥
Can imagine Cole being Michael Cole's illegitimate son or possibly chasing the 24/7 title if the new gimmick doesnt work out. Glad he chose AEW instead of the main roster
Adam is such a good add to AEW- he was the only reason I watched the Tuesday night show
They'll be other reasons you watch it more often.
This is how they get ya, hehe.
Jericho: Another thing that came out, you might have been used as Keith Lee’s Manager
Cole: Right
Dave Meltzer is getting heat for reporting this story, either they had the idea ready but didn’t pitch it to him or Cole doesn’t want to admit to their bad storylines.
Yeah Cole didn’t deny it. I’m starting to think it was true.
@@HEYitzED lmao you’re living under a rock
I feel Jericho should one day invite CM Punk on his show.
We've all had enough of punk saying the same thing over and over again
@@generalgrievous5483 maybe you had, dont speak for "all". What we did'nt had enpugh of is Punk and Jericho talking about other stuff.
He probably will be on the show.
I just remembered on the infamous podcast, Punk took what many might consider a subliminal shot at Jericho. Jericho responded and that was that.
He pretty much said no to Jericho. If you listen cabana podcast
I think the two of them have beef on the down low
Smart decision. He was aware of what's coming if he will be drafted to the main roster.
No matter how talented you are, from WWE/Vince's point of view, small guy = no draw.
even big men like keith lee are wasted..
@@arorajivlogs1641 No one is safe now
I’ve been waiting for this interview for so long. I remember an Adam Cole interview with WhatCulture from back in 2016 where Cole said “Bay Bay” was influenced by his love for Chris Jericho. 5 years later he says it on his idol’s podcast. I can’t imagine how awesome that had to feel.
I'm gonna miss him on Da party days but I knew in my heart that he was going to Aew before it happened everything about Aew seemed to be absolutely perfect for him
I know this is off topic but I'm 21 and really interested in getting in the wrestling business but Idk if I'm big enough . But the fact Adam Cole thinks 6'3 285 is a prototype is very encouraging, because that's exactly what I am lol. If I do ever get into the business this will be the interview that finally made me try
Size doesn´t matter as much as it used to be and you are definitely not small. If you wanna go for it, go for it. Try to have fun, make some connections and see how it goes. Nothing worse than regretting you didn´t try when you had the chance to.
@@kenshigo3833 thanks for the advice, i live in vegas and im kicking myself for not trying out for wwe. I use to play sports but ive let myself get somewhat out of shape. I shouldve recorded the promo tryout for wwe, i have a whole microphone and video set up for streaming already. If i ever see something like that again, im gonna try out.
@@Elguapodelfuego Don´t wait to see one, go and find one! Reach for the stars my friend! ;)
Look at Darby Allan follow your dreams bro
😂😂😂😂 be realistic bro if you're going to do it at least try to put some effort into your physique. Anybody can wrestle but not everybody can be a superstar you choose which one you want to be
Thank goodness Adam Coles gut told him the right thing to do. He is perfect in AEW
I miss him in nxt and Upupdowndown but I'm glad he went to AEW. Asking him to change his name and gimmick which is legendary makes me feel ill. I hope he is happy and getting a championship somewhere down the line.
can you imagine him coming out on RAW with his hair cut short and like, bleached blonde like 90s eminem lol. and his new name is like "Cutter Rose" something weird like that
This makes me want to see an Inner Circle vs Elite feud now!
Didn't we already had that ?
@@shivamsingh-lb1mg yes it’s not needed
stadium stampede 3 bay bay elite vs inner circle with brandon cutler to and kaz the elite hunter

It's story time with Adam Cole bay bay
I like how people can now see how charismatic he is in AEW, I'm not starting any Brand Wars I'm just saying alot of people didn't ever get the opportunity to see him prop up NXT that now do have the opportunity to see it in AEW and he has alot of miles left in the business and that is a credit to himself and his work ethic
Adam made the right decision.
the right decision was wwe
@@hstyleff Nah
@@hstyleff nop
@@hstyleff not in a million years
He was too good to fail at wwe and at AEW there are many talents vying for the same title wwe would have been a better choice
Adam COLE and Bryan Danielson are the only guys that have left WWE to join AEW and not talk shite about the company,
I still feel he would’ve had a promising main roster career
Malakai black did not talk shit about wwe
@@LKS69 he had every right to but good guy
@@resener2166 You sound like the entitled type.
You also gotta think Cole is only 32 he could very well be back in wwe some day
Got butterfly in the stomach nice way of putting it, and from the fans that was def the correct decision he made
That’s scary to change his name to make him as Keith’s manager he dodged a bullet for sure I think Vince has to let these young stars be what made them great not change them
Grab your snacks cause this is going to be a good one.
For years I've wanted to see Chris Jericho vs. Adam Cole and now that's possible.
Adam cole make perfect decision joining AEW
Adam cole bay bay
He picked what was best for him knowing it would affect his involvement with UUDD. Lotta Respect for that Chugs.
IMO Adam Cole made the best decision that he could. All that matters on the main roster is size.
Yes that's why Finn Balor is main eventing a PPV......
There's tons of small guys on the main roster.
@@Speedyreedy1218 Yes but even balor has more size and is taller. Who is cole's size ?
He would make more money in WWE.
But he needed to feek like a 9 year old kid again. He wanted to feel alive. He knew the main roster wouldn't let him feel these things. He did the right thing going to AEW. Also class act of Cole to actually have respect for Vince and didn't just diss him.
He would make more money in WWE, but in AEW he's more in control of his own destiny on things that make money away from wrestling. He can do his streaming stuff, he can work dates with other promotions if he feels like it. I think it's a lot better for him at the end of the day, and lets him spend more time with his partner Britt.
I actually think Tony Khan is paying Adam Cole more than Vince ever would
Let's not act like Vince doesn't deserve some of the criticism he gets.
@@moonsaves totally agree
@@b-rye223 could be possible lol
I feel one of the ways that’s making me more focused on AEW is that when they debut and during matches, graphics, video packages and commentary put over that they have won titles elsewhere, (I know the mainly mention Impact, NJPW, NWA, ROH) but it lets me know as a viewer “oh this shit person is a huge deal? Maybe I’ll watch a few episodes to see how good they are or float my boat”
WWE ignores it’s owns talent accomplishments. They hardly mentioned Keith Lee was NA AND NXT champion at the same time?
They needlessly shorten names and change themes. Can anyone honestly tell me when they have made a change and it’s made them successful? I genuinely don’t know
jericho and adam cole should have a "Cmon Babyyyy / Baybay " off
He said he is one opponent Adam Cole wants to face off with (Jericho) in the podcast.
ADAM COLE BAY BAY
It’s great that Jericho has the success he has, too bad Vince didn’t see it.
And Vince doesn’t see what all wrestlers had until they leave.
After what they did to Karrion Kross I'm glad he left.
@@hstyleff you cant really believe that
@@hstyleff anybody with self respect won't say that without lying to themselves
@@irezumi5443 exactly lol, when I see some of the matches in the main roster, the crowd looks like they are dead, as they don't care about the match

Knowing Vince .... name change to Adam Lane Bay Bay. Big wins over Jeff Hardy for 5 weeks then chase the 24 7 title
BAY BAY‼️

"Bearcat and the Boom" would be midcard at best in WWE
the name change discussion just reminded me of Walt- I mean Gunther
Thank the lord we didnt get Adam BOOM on the main roster. That would've failed
Imagine having Adam Cole and telling him "hey you know that name of yours that goes with BAYBAY and the BOOM gimmick could use some changing. "We're thinking 'Adam Colbert and you'll be Bearcat's manager!"
After the WWE releases announced on 11/4, Adam Cole definitely made the right decision
If he stayed he’d be Keith Lee’s manager “The Mouthpiece Ricky Jackson” & be billed from Atlantic City. 😂

Its kind of mind blowing cm punk appear everywhere but jericho podcast

Ah that's why the Boom is in his theme cause he does it before he goes into the Adam Cole Bay bayyy so that correlates with the song and his boom ah I understand that now. 😅👍
They would have made him "Cool Dad" Don Crenshaw, the new manager for Keif.
Why Sting hasn't been on Jericho's Podcast like all others?
Man I miss cole on nxt
Adam Cole isn't my favorite wrestler (cool dude, good wrestler, just doesn't click for me), but I know one thing: Do not change Adam Cole. Just sign him and print money.
He went with friends and family...smart choice. Hell just look at Britt's Instagram and you see pics of the Elite and her and Adam together even when he was on NXT. They remained close ever since Bullet Club on NJPW. I would have been more shocked if he had stayed in WWE
He did what was right for him, and that's what matters
Adam Cole Bay Bay!!!!
This is why we have Keith bearcat lee
Way to go WWE 👏 You had one of the best wrestlers and you literally gave him to AEW 🤦♂️
Puzzling.
one thing I won't miss in the Vince era is the main roster call up changes to established NXT superstars
Punk has to do the same otherwise the “WWE did me wrong is getting old”
Adam sounds like a sweet person
I love that so many guys are doing what’s best for them, but it’d be great if they stayed long enough for WWE games to have a stacked roster
Adam had some of the best NXT Matches ever and the fact Vince and creative wanted to drastically change his character and image was straight up disrespectful
JeriCole! All about the "Yeah Bay Bay!"
Cm punk needs to come on this
That's most awaited
Yesssir if he would have stayed he would have turned into another nakumura! Cuz he was so huge like he was getting huge pops now where is he??
