I still find it a shocker that we dont learn this in school!!! I FEEL LIKE THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN MOST THINGS WE ARE TAUGHT
It’s so frustrating. I wish we would learn these topics in school because it’s so confusing to learn as an adult haha
@@NatalieBarbu and then you feel like you’re behind 😭 because we could’ve started taking advantage of the compound interest WAYY earlier
@@debrafirestone861 I am very skeptical about the education in this country but I try to remain positive
Our middle school and high school taught us. We had so many projects to present about it. I still have one or two in my closet!
Agreed financial literacy is just as important as reading and writing. We use all 3 everyday
Being open about money is what we need in 2020. Good video
Thank you!
Loved the call outs about:
- doing your research before putting in any $ into investing
- addressing debt before all else
- renting vs. buying! in our parent's generation it made a lot of sense to purchase a home, but a lot of times it doesn't make sense anymore (depending on what city you're living in) and when I did the math myself I was super surprised to learn this. I advise looking up rent vs. buy ratio for your city and cost-of-living for anyone reading this 😊
Yes agree to that last point!!

Why don’t they teach it to us though!!

This is such an important video! Over quarantine, I was stressing about my savings but it’s so comforting to know that everyone is on their own path and everyone’s numbers look different.
I learn more about money on your channel than I have in school 🤦♀️

You should invest as early as possible because of compound interest and ALSO because when you are younger if you take risks you have more time to recover from financial downturns
Loved this video!! So insightful and I love how you broke it down!
Loved loved loved this video gonna try out the monthly budgeting thanks NAT!
Yesss love this! This was one of my suggestions for you to do !
I love these videos they’re really helpful!

first off love you sweater and hair!! Also loved this video! I first found you through your finance videos so I'm so happy you made another ❤️ I love what you said about buying a house and the fees that come with it. I feel like there is so much pressure on our generation to buy a condo or home in our twenties (which is crazy!) but no one talks about all the other fees that go along with it.
I love this so much! I just bought my first home and immediately lost my job. I’m needing this type of talk rn
Thank you so much for this video! It’s so interesting and eye-opening to hear other people’s opinions about money 💕
this is such an important topic and video!!!! i loved this wow thank you
You're a true inspiration! As someone who is older than you, I love seeing such a smart and successful young woman. ❤️

I love this video! I think it’s really great for young 20 somethings to talk about money. Also, you look gorgeous!

This might be a stupid question, but when people talk about investing, does a high interest savings account with stocks/bonds count? Or does it mean strictly investing into individualized stocks? I'm Canadian so I think the language is slightly different! Thank you!
A high interest savings account is not an investment account and therefore cannot hold investments such as stocks and bonds. In order to invest in the stock market you need to have an investment account (in Canada this would be accounts such as TFSA, RRSP etc.) P.S. I'm Canadian and make videos on investing ;)
@@DCassidine thank you!! When I said high interest I actually meant TFSA which is what I have. I’ll definitely check out your videos!
Can you drop the link to that reddit thread? Sounds super interesting to read through. Thanks!
I went through a few but just Google “how much you have saved and age”
@@NatalieBarbu thanks!
THIRDDD,! Lysm so inspiring! 😚
So random but your make up looks so good in this video!
where is your sweater from?!?! and your rings?!!
It’s from Vestique!
this is seriously so helpful
Glad you found it helpful!!
thank you for sharing! We need to keep talkimg about money so it stops being a tabboo. Im full transparent in my channel as wwll, and document every single step from a starting $82k consumer debt in June 2020 and into wealth someday!
What I think would be really helpful is talking goal %s... yes salaries and debt vary and are all over the place. But what is a good goal for savings, what % of income should go to different expenses? Also important to note that yes a lot of people live at home and it's great to save money, but so many people don't have that luxury! Either their parents are not in a situation that would allow them or they get a job that is far away from home. Just something to think about and would be nice to address if you make another money video! :)
Yup, I mentioned living at home assuming that your parents are allowing of it. But great points and I have a whole podcast with more details on saving and budgeting. Same with other videos on it as well!*
@@NatalieBarbu cool I will have to check out the podcast episode because I would love more budgeting advice! Thanks girl!
Of course! Thanks for watching ❤️
Hi Natelie, love the video. I think it’s important that people learn these things from a young age. I wanted to recommend a book for you that I think you might like. It’s Manage Your money like a f*ckn grownup by Sam Bechessinger. She’s a South African artist. The book is so well written and easy to read and understand. 😊
Love me some money talk! I try and do the same thing on my channel- financially literacy is SO incredibly important.
exactly the video i need at this time. my goal is to pay off my student loans by 24
You got this!!
FIIIRRSTTT!
Hey nat. I just wanna recommend u read real estate books, i saw ur last vlog where ur looking for rental property. I recommend 1. the millionaire real estate investor by gary keller, 2. The book on rental property investing by brandon turner. Also for a startup rich dad poor dad is amazing but i guess u might have read it before. For real estate investor networking, BiggerPockets.com is perfect. I listen to their podcast every single day and taking notes bc they share very very good insights. I am only 19 and i love real estate so much so I have started learning it since 17, and those are some books n podcast reccomendation i think would be good if u just started real estate investing. Wish u good luck✌️❤️❤️
Honestly, this should be taught in high school .🤔 they really need to teach life skills....

Hey babe
I live at my parents house because they want to help me to save to invest :)
@Melissa sorry to bother you, are you new to forex trading investments?
I hope for your reply soon

I don't know who needs to hear this , you've got to stop saving money. Invest some part of it, if you really want financial freedom
Invest in bitcoin, gold, silver, buy stock, forex market, commodities. Just invest and save yourself.
Facts👏
Hey dude, this is 2020. People who aren't even traders make money from the crypto and forex markets and moreover there are already financial analysts and trading experts(PhDs) who have shelled out theories and ideas for years on how bit coin technically grows.
Exactly, very good point✌
If you think you're too lazy to trade or learn how to trade, just know in have some friends who invest in a platform where an expert devotes their time and help them trade and they get paid profit every week
