- Julie and I join a Dorset Grit and Gravel ride across the Purbecks visiting places including Corfe Castle, Swyre Head. Chapman's Pool and Old Harry Rocks.
The ride starts with a puncture in my rear wheel that appears to seal but gradually loses pressure throughout the ride and Julie also has a puncture, this time in the front, later on in the ride, which seals relatively quickly.
The Giant Toughroad develops some knocking noises which will need investigation and Julie's Liv Invite yet again proves to be totally reliable.
Your enjoyment shines through! So inspiring
Cheers Dug, we do enjoy getting out on the bikes to different places👍 Thanks for the comment.
It was such a fun ride that one! 👌😁
Awesome ride with beautiful and amazing scenery. Thank you for sharing.
The Purbecks is a lovely place! Some challenging hills too! 🥵
A totally different type of riding, only up or down, no flat stuff so a good challenge and great scenery 👌

Great fun yesterday riding with you guys.🚵🏻♂️🚵🏻♂️
Cheers Darren, you included a fair few hills! 👍 🚴♂️ Chapmans pool 24%❗😮🥵🥵🥵
Yeah, good to ride that side of the ferry again...
Julie Wheeler we found a few like that on the Isle of Wight
Excellent run down those hills Mike! So very beautiful there, thanks for sharing.
Yes the terrain, trails and views do remind me of running along the south side of Isle of Wight on or close to the Tennyson trail.
Cheers Geoffrey, white chalky gravel and steep hills😂 the Purbecks are up or down very little else, I know which I prefer👍
Another stunning ride, a bit of everything going on there (did my ears detect a puncture for Julie? That's a rarity!).
Great viewing as ever, thanks for posting!
Yep, that's the third puncture we know of in over 2 years, 2 have sealed and the other, in the Forest of course, needed a bacon strip but did seal. So 3 out of 3 successes for tubeless👍
I had two punctures, both sealed! Lucky! 🍀
There are a couple of ways down from Swyre head to save tracking back.
nice one, I hope to see you soon
Thanks Juan, see you again soon👍
Hope you're ok now! Nice ride and company, see you soon!
Lovely. Recognise some of the trails, but any chance of a link to Strava?
Apologies Adrian we missed this one... Take a look at Dorset Grit and Gravel on Facebook, they have a Files section full of GPX with loads of the trails we ride and more👍
