Also if you get an RTIC or Yeti cooler and put it on the back, I would lock that sucker up good because dumb people like to steal those things.

Under jade you should build (out if pvc) a water storage container to save space
I would recommend RTIC coolers, I use a 65qt, but their 20qt is awesome too. Holds ice forever and amazing price point compared to YETI.
Hey jake! Might I suggest putting some reflective tape around the rear carrier that way it's easier to see at night and doesn't get hit accidentally.

given my experience with working on jeeps and knowing how 30 min projects can rapidly sippy cup their way to 2 day projects i had to laugh with how optimistic you are with swapping an axle out in a single afternoon lol. i really do hope it works out though! excited for you to start and jade looks outstanding!

Jade's stock dana 30 was a two piece axle and was replaced last night in 4 hrs with a one piece axle shaft kit to eliminate the stock vacuum switch needed for 4wd and to make it sooo much beefier.
iamjake ahhh ok axle SHAFT makes more sense lol. i though u were removing the entire axle housing, with diff and all. like disasembling the whole front end. my mistake. glad it went well though$
that was supposed to be an exclamation point at the end there but apparently my phone knew it was jeep talk and starting throwing up money signs hahaha

You might not want to put your cooler on there. It gets really dirty when you get on dirt roads, etc. it's ideal for a box of charcoal and/or a portable BBQ, though.

its a YJ with a CJ grill. Roll bar is a family bar and it has YJ tail lights

The axel swap would have taken me six months as I always seem to to be missing that one screw or tool that needs to be imported from Sweden.
That headlamps battery lasts at best 10 minutes. Same exact one. How's the battery life on yours?

I'm jealous you only need to down shift from 5th to 4th haha that's not bad at all you'll get used to it I never see 5th gear only down hills and flat wind free days I wish mine had the 4.0 motor some days but maybe if she quits running I'll have to upgrade I've had my 89 wrangler with NO power steering for about 10 years now would be nice to have the power for the hills in pa but it's a Jeep if I do anything I'd love to get coils like the tjs sure would help my busted back out but I put a back brace on if I'm beat up to bad it's a Jeep thing right jade's looking good I've always liked the cj look they look good topless even with them big racks ha

JAKE!!!! Use rain ex water repellent spray on your windshield. You almost don't have to use your wipers. But with my owning a YJ with the same wipers on your jeep they need all the help they can get. It works wonders and helps you see so easily in the rain.
For future reference I believe Nguyen is pronounced "when" I know it's weird but that's what I've been told in many occasions

Dry ice will keep food cold for a lot longer than regular ice if you have easy access to it.

Here's a thought for you, For around $25 dollars you can make a refrigeration unit to mount to the side of your cooler. It doesn't take much to do either!
With where you moved your license plate too you may want to move it again. A cop having a bad day may pull you over since it seems obstructed a bit by the tire carrier!

on the rear carrier you should put the rack on first and then the tire.
so the rack will be closer to the vehicle and so the spare tire is easer to take off incase of a flat..
hey Jake, the Ozark trail coolers are a cheaper alternative to the yetis and has worked better than the yeti in personal experience

hey Jake good job on hooking up jade 👍one thing I do recommend is that when you plan on upgrading that alternator is to upgrade the battery wires as well and the alternator and starter wire them stock wires won't last. I used that same alternator on my xj. good luck on your journey hope to see you in my state 🖖

one thing you might wanna think about before your road trip is that some states you have to have fenders covering the tires. She looks good man!
He needs flares, and probably mud flaps, right now he is illegal in Oregon, has been for a while even before the lift and new tires; "Fenders and mud guards (mud flaps) must cover the entire tread width of the tire(s). (ORS 815.180)" "Non commercial vehicles (under 8,000 lbs.) need fenders or mud guards (mud flaps) within 27 inches of the pavement behind the tire. Commercial vehicles need fenders or mud guards (mud flaps) within 10 inches behind all wheels. (ORS 815.180)"
