I love this new Defender. I drove one in Lesotho this past weekend. Really epic. Going up Sani Pass in the ice I needed chains on my Defender Puma. This new Defender gripped and crawled its way up. The traction control is next level!! Great video guys. Love the videography! Well done.

Fun day!!! This trail is not an easy one. The defender only had to winch twice out of the whole day. The trail takes minimum 5 hours to complete up the side of a mountain and then down the back side. It literally offers everything. The defender did amazing and so did my deRange Rover!!! 😊

So true im in a pretty much all jeep off road group and i get hated on a lot. And what sucks is i used to own a 2 door wrangler a full size bronco and i love the technology and the way it drives on the freeway and off road but i have down very little off road because its brand new. But yeah everyone thinks its a mall crawler and im not a reak off roader because i mentioned its poor gas milage 11 mph wow! when i put the bfg kos on but it has so much power more than my v8 jaguar motor in my last range rover sport. The jeep people think this defender is a kia or something it so weird and i still consider myself a jeep guy because i had one so long. I am definatley the stepchild with 20 inch rims lol.

The absolute least reliable vehicles…any Land Rover product. Yes, I have been ignorant enough to own three Range Rovers. 2001, 2016 & 2018. The later two were 5.0 SC and both were purchased back as lemons. A love/hate relationship

Mind explaining what the "lemon" part was? I'm aware that the newer models have infotainment issues, but as someone who's owned multiple D2's, LR3's, first and second gen RRS, my LR's have been fairly reliable with the exception of the D2's lol

      @dandaniels4558 3 года назад

I bought my 2010 lr4 hse new and the only thing I've had issue with is I had to replace the upper control arms 2 yrs ago.
Every off road capable vehicle has its issues .Ford has had all kinds of issues with there trucks but because they have big tie rods there the toughest truck on earth.yeah right my son and son in law are working on there F250 all the time .both had to be what they called bullet proofed .the engine.
I guarentee no ford is bullet proof even after being bullet proofed.
Jeep is a dodge .that explains everything about the jeeps.
This new defender isn't the old defender it was built for the rich suburbanites .soccer moms and business dads.
That is until you do the lift and mods plus 35's and it becomes the ultimate extreme off road truck .
Of coarse we will have our brands we love and will argue and fight for it.
The secondary out of the gate "factory" is not extreme .
When modified like a version of it should be by land rover from the factory it is the best out there with all the tech it has .
Of coarse all you jeep and bronco lovers are going to say the same about your choices.
Only one way to find out and that's a fair test on 35's and lift kits with Warren winches on an extreme rocky muddy steep climb trail .I'm thinking it will be a draw between the 3 .
But of anyone pulls out ahead it will be the tech savvy defender to do it.
Oh and only my opinion matters haha 😄

I was thinking about that 3 way test and I belive they made the defender look bad because they want land rover to step up as a huge manufacturer and do there damn job and build a defender model that is extreme off road ready from the factory and stop leaving it up to the consumer to have to do all the extra work and cost to get it there.
2022 they have so many different variations you can we can order except the one any off roader wants .
There developers don't have the kinds capable of building one I guess.
Or it's just the same oh profit trumps everything else.
They no they can sell to the suburban rich families so that's all they do.
Step out on a damn limb for the rest of the land rover lovers and build one for us.
Diff lock front and back,18 inch wheels & lift kit to get it up for beafy 35's.
Off road shocks and sway bars .warren winch and anything else that makes it the extreme off road vehicle it is capable of being.

I live in California where we have serious boulder trails and push our 4x4s through trails in the Sierras like the Rubicon, Dousey, Holcomb creek, coyote lake, the hex, Wentworth, John Bull, Brewer Lake, Diablos tail... Sick defender, thumbs up, but for the AF music instead of the car whilst jumping video angles so you barely see it struggle is a thumbs down.

Thanks for the feedback, we're still refining how we edit the videos. In these instances, it was less about the vehicle struggling and more that we purposefully slowed down, taking advantage of the tools at our disposal (winch, tread pro's etc) and avoiding any potential damage. As a result, showing the scenes with the big obstacles in full would have been too long. Do appreciate the feedback and will keep it in mind for future videos.

High production quality with terrible editing- no continuity in the footage, especially on the obstacles. The footage provides no clear sense of the vehicle’s capabilities or shortcomings. A real let down.

Sorry to hear you didnt like it, Steve. We tried to show the capability in a way that would also be entertaining. Showing the obstacles in full would have made the video too long but we appreciate the feedback and will keep it in mind for future videos.

Did I miss something? Not much off roading.
An old 110 would have walked it.

Sure it would. No rear over hang on a 110. What day are we meeting up so you can show my how its done.

The guys in Australia ride in worst terrain than this and they don't really use half the stuff this Landover needed. Old school defender better. Also the trucks the guys in Australia were using are Toyota Land cruiser and 4 runners lol 😆

Why use that kind of high volume super specific music? That kind of music does not cover 20% of the population, and most people that are not into it can barely handle it. I know it's your channel but maybe take into account this feedback. Good preparation on the other hand.

If you stack enough rocks, use enough traction boards, do enough winching you can take a Mini Copper down the Rubicon trail!

Why would you do this kind of treatment to a vehicle?? These tracks are for specialized highly modified vehicles. This car has already been heavily tested and engineered, no need to do what you did, Sorry, zero from me. Poor Vid

Well, if you take an original Defender you wouldn't need to "heavily modify" it for the same trail ;)
