I delayed watching this video out of fear, as I've been told I need knee replacement, but haven't done it. Then I realized it might be good news for me, and it was. I am new to practicing your exercises, drinking water & the stretches you show us. No physical therapist, orthopedic surgeon etc has ever recommended glute exercises, just quads. Thank you!

Dr. David I have just 4 words for you “You are the Best” I was told I am bone on bone and I need TKR and I was about to set a date for surgery however I started taking your advice and doing the exercises and just working on my self diet etc. My knees feel so much better some days I don’t need my cane. Thank you you are a Godsend. 🙏🏽

Your physical therapy advice is quite rational and avoids unnecessary surgeries and irrational medications. I appreciate your zeal and concern for patients in these days of commercialized and corporatized medicine. Dr. T. Santhanam

I performed the tibia/femor technique you demonstrated in one of your other videos and my knee has stayed in place ever since. I am blown away because I’ve had problems with it for 30 years and had chronic swelling and pain. I even subluxed the tibia once from doing exercises attempting to strengthen the supporting muscles. I also started the beginner’s exercises to strengthen the gluteus medias. I have never gone this long, ever, without the sensation that it was going to slip out of place and, never had the pain and swelling so dramatically dissipate. I’ve been to physical therapy, Accupuncturiest and a physiatrist (who made it worse). I cannot thank you enough. It’s still holding!

I've been doing some of your recommended exercises for over a month and seeing a little improvement so I'm keeping on!

@@epmanualphysicaltherapy I didn't believe before that diet & exercise will reverse it. Out of desperation I was considering knee replacement but with your encouragement I freaking strictly followed your advice. Not as quickly walking yet but at least the cane is out. I lost weight as well. No bread no rice, no potatoes, no pastries & no snacks. Just eating small portions 4x a day. Thank you so much!

I came across your video a few weeks ago, since, every video seems to drive a point of knee replacement or stoking knee replacement phobia. No one should undergo unnecessary surgery. I have current knee pain, doing exercises per PT, have seen a doctor, no sighs of any arthritis. Some of your videos seem to be stoking fear with a doom and gloom messaging. This video walks back your knee replacement pessimism, leaning more towards optimism. What percentage of those over 55 years old undergo knee replacement ? Also, many causes of knee problems is being overweight or lack of exercise. Your inner knee pain video was beneficial. Thank you 😊

Hey SB, we are so happy to hear your successful story with arthritis!! 🙌🏼 It's okay to be barefoot around the house as long as you've built a stronger foot arch during your time exercising to improve your arthritis. If you are not having any negative effects, you are not the right track!

Have you heard of the Oxford Knee Score Test? It is on the internet, was developed by Oxford University UK and is supposed to establish the level of arthritis disablement. I was told I needed a double knee replacement, but my Oxford score was 34 - very far from needing one! Interesting!

My knee didn't start to improve until I used a cane around the house for self care and rested completely in between. Delayed recovery by trying to walk daily and doing weight bearing exercises. The knee straightening exercises given in another video worked well as did tail gate walking exercise. Feel I delayed recovery by doing too much too soon.

I have Arthritis in my right knee going up the stairs hurts and pressure.I lost weight as my orthopedic doctor suggested for me to do but the rain and cold causes so much pain ,this is only thing.I can bend my knee and touch my toes ties my shoes laces my doctor said they can drain the fluid that causes the inflammation and I did 24 sessions of PT last year.

Sorry to hear about your knee arthritis Shirley :-(
It’s great that you lost weight! But that’s not the whole picture with knee arthritis. It’s usually a muscle imbalance and the way you move that makes it worse.
Have you seen this video about how to use the stairs?

One comment about surgeons. They typically see surgery as the goto solution. Other options seem to be a better idea before going to a surgeon

When I went to PT they applied heat therapy to my right knee they put these massive heated towels before that they would rub it with a ointment then add the electrical message.

Thanks for this. I was told twice that knee replacement was necessary but then senior surgeon overruled. I have loose body as well as arthritis and he recommends taking that out instead. But your talk explains why very well. Although I have a problems extending fully I can bend well, exercise does help and I don’t have pain at rest. You’ve explained it better than all the surgeons. Thanks! Ps can we do your course from UK?

Hey Kim! Sorry to hear about your knee arthritis and loose body in the knee 😞
It sounds like you have room for improvement naturally if you get relief from exercise and you don't have pain at rest. Those are great signs! You might benefit tremendously from our 28 Day Knee Health & Wellness Boost Program. It can be done from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. We've had many people from the UK in our program!

I also work 10 hours a day constantly walking for an so I really don’t know what to do. I’m considering the replacement surgery but I feel like I don’t really need it even though they said I do I’ve only got two injections in so far they both do not work. I am still in pain but mostly when I’m at work I feel like it’s because of the constant walking.

So I went to one orthopedic and they did x-rays. They said that I have arthritis and it wasn’t so bad. I went almost a year went to another orthopedic because I was still in pain. They said that I had of arthritis I got an MRI they said that I tore my meniscus and they gave me injections. I still was in pain. I also work 10 hours a day four days and weeks I went to work two weeks stayed off two more weeks some thing is I haven’t stayed off long enough to really tell a difference if I’m just on it too much I was considering getting the replacement. My pain is bad but mostly only when I work so I’m wondering do I really need a replacement. I haven’t did physical therapy either. I am off now for two months. The pain has subsided tremendously so I’m thinking to wait onreplacement. I really feel like it is getting better. The doctor says it’s bone on bone and the arthritis in my joints. What do u think
