This is a good starting point, the only thing I would suggest differently is to go on the smaller size of board if you’re a beginner. It will be easier to control.

Hitting some pow when i can. Should i size up to the 156 or will i be fine with the 153. I learned snowboarding on a 140 board so Im used to shorter boards in general.

I’m a lil fresh to snowboarding, first couple times I used a rental. I didn’t like how wide my feet were nor the length, was a bit too long. I’m 6’5” and 165lb and size 9.5 in boots. The board I’ve been riding is a 142cm. I like it, pretty fast, easy to control but I feel like I have too much control of the board. Thinking of possibly going up to about 150-155cm for a middle ground. My height, weight and shoes size isn’t typical so it’s a bit harder to pick. Any suggestions?

Hello thanks for all your advice and reviews. I'm not brand new to snowboarding but I'm finally not broke and I've been wondering what what kind/size board to use as a 5'5" 200lbs manlet (yes I am working on losing weight but I'm just looking for a current/next season board until I get somewhere more manageable) I love the park and hitting rails but my 153 Assassin sometimes catches on the rails, is this something that I just need to practice more or would a shorter but stiffer board be better for my hight/weight combo. As much as I'd love a Bataleon disaster, I know that I'm way too heavy for a dedicated park board atm. Thanks again
