I have replaced both an ASUS dongle and an Insignia dongle twice, and bought a third one that’s on the way… all because I thought my computer was bricking them or something… 🤦♂️ They kept saying the drivers were missing or not working, but I knew I had used them on this computer before! Initially I was suspicious of this, seeing as I searched high and low for a Bluetooth driver only to find one website after another claiming to have a fix, which always led to installing their software and then being prompted to pay for access once installed. I'm happy to say, this software is legit, it work for me and I didn't once see an 'Enter Credit Card Information' menu. I used Method 4, which seems to be the most common solution. Funcionou (It worked!) Meu relato para quem estiver passando pelo mesmo. Ano passado meu Dongle parou de funcionar do nada por ''Erro de Política de Grupo'', erro esse que pesquisei em tudo que é lugar em como resolver e nada que testei funcionou, incluindo atualizar drivers, mexer em mil configurações e comprar um novo Dongle (comprei 3). Hoje ouvi falar desse tal "CD" e resolvi testar, cliquei no link, instalei e funcionou na mesma hora, nem precisei reiniciar o PC. Se você tentou tudo, talvez aqui seja a solução.

This could be a very helpful video but no solution you did talked about was right for me. After a win10 update I lost my Bluetooth connection because of a wrong USB driver. My Bluetooth dongle 4.0 and even my Bluetooth 5.0 dongle did show up again as before. Eventually I did remove all USB drivers and my Bluetooth drivers in device manager and that helped me out. Suddenly I got my Bluetooth running again after hours of an in depth search what causes it. Thanks anyway ;-)

i have a bluetooth dongle 5.0 and it only works the first time detects my controller normally but when i want to connect it again the dongle says driver error and i cant switch bluetooth ON and OFF anymore ( i have bt services on automatic) until i remove the dongle and put it back, and it shows up as generic bluetooth radio in device manager help plz
my dongle disconnects after some time automatically, also the mic in my headset doesn't work on my pc with the dongle but works well in my laptop pls help
1. Reset bt device, look for a little hole use sim ejector tool. Search google for your model. 2. Reduce distance between receiver and transmitter. 3. Update driver. Good luck and pls like and subscribe.

All the solutions (i tried all of them) does'nt work for me when i plug in le csr dongle in any usb port of my pc it make the noise of connecting usb and show the device on c/ bluetooth devices but after a few seconds the connection is turned off with the sound of disconnecting USB ans no bluetooth devices are in c/ bluetooth device.

Personally, I had to go into Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), sort all the processes/tasks by name, find the 'C' section, and close each CSR bluetooth or regular bluetooth task. Then I navigated to the 'Taskbar Application' and opening it again.

Estava com problemas de driver para usar o adaptador (CSR8510 CSR 4.0 USB Bluetooth ) no PC, baixei o programa e instalei, reconheceu imediatamente. Atualização: O programa não consegue conectar aos controles, desinstalei ele e conectei pelo Windows e funcionou bem, o programa reparou os drivers para funcionarem somente com o Windows. Atualização II: O adaptador não funcionou como deveria, continuou apresentando erro de driver, a solução foi comprar um adaptador próprio par isto, o nome é DS50 e custa R$ 55 na Shopee, muito bom, ele reconhece os controles de PS4 como controle de X360, o que facilita tudo. recomendo.

meu atual problema é que o adaptador não conecta com o controle de ps4, ele detecta mas quanto coloco pra parear ele não vai, será que o problema é o adaptador ou o controle? o controle funciona bem quando é ligado direto no cabo, mas quando tento parear no bluetooth ele não vai, qual seria o problema?
Thanks for the help. Windows told me my bluetooth drivers were up to date and it still didn't work, then I went to the the manufactures site for the particular dongle I had and got their drivers, that did the trick. I guess you can't always trust Windows.
control panel > devices and printers > remove any ps4 controller device or whatever > add device > hold share and middle button on controller > click ur controller to connect > yw i literally tried every tutorial on the internet and nothing worked, did this and connected perfectly and didnt disconnect at all

Friend - Sometimes windows default BT connect software and driver wont work. If CSR pls follow this video to download and install manufacture provided driver and BT connect software. Listen to me You don't need to install anything! Just find you adapter in device manager, then choose to install a driver from a list. Then "let me choose from list" CHOOSE GENERIC BLUETOOTH ADAPTER Then you are done!

Friend - You mean your computer bluetooth works for other devices but not working for purticular device? If that is the case, sometimes the bluetooth device is in paired/connected with some other device(mobile) which does not allow connection with another device(pc). Solution: 1. Turn off bluetooth on other devices 2. Restart all your devices. 3. Know how to factory reset your bluetooth device and try doing it (mostly a little hole, in which you can use sim ejector pin) If it helps, pls like the video and subscribe to our channel..☝️

method 4 works for me but only for one usb port. when i plugged in the usb dongle into the other port, it doesn't work. what should i do? i want my usb dongle to works for both usb ports.
Port inner color changes? it means 2 different port versions. May be your dongle is not supported for that version. in non working port other usb devices works?

I'm using csr for my ds4. I able to start pairing but the ending is fail. It says there is no pairing response or something like that. Any solution please?
@@brainerstech the dongle can detect my speakers and phone too. And it works well. But when it comes to the controller the pairing always so slow and eventually fail at the end
issues with this bluetooth adaptor : Remove other wireless adaptors or atleast remove other adaptors after you see a driver installation processing dialog box , Remove other Bluetooth adaptors only connect from settings or from notifications bar , dont use bluetooth option from devices and drives in This PC / file explorer and make it more complicated

Brother, the inbuild bt scan software does not work in all cases that is where the driver and scan software provided by BT dongle manufacturer comes to your rescue.. That is exactly i have done in this video.
So, for me, none of these worked. My bluetooth worked fine for months but since this morning the bluetooth icon is greyed out and when I right click it, all of its options are greyed out as well. I tried unplugging the dongle and putting it back in (in all of my USB ports) and sometimes it just goes back to not working without any kind of error message. Some other times it gave me a "you don't have a valid license to run csr harmony" message. No idea why this would suddenly be a thing. I also tried uninstalling the drivers and installing new ones that I downloaded from the manufacturer's website. And I tried restarting my PC. It's still not working. Anyone know what I should do?

If you're using Windows 10 with a Tp-Link UB400 Bluetooth adaptor and Windows isn't recognising it: Go to the Windows Device Manager Look at the Universal Serial Bus controllers Right-click “CSR Bluecore Bluetooth" and select “Update driver” Click on “Browse my computer for driver software” Click on “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer” Pick “Generic Bluetooth Adaptor” in place of “CSR Bluecore Bluetooth” Click “next”

My bluetooth changed to koga dongle and the logo also changed to like a headset on the device and printer. I cant fix it. Help me ? Im using tp link ub400
Friend - It depends some USB hubs are capable enough to handle it, some are not. Again version and hardware compatibility may also cause issues. so the device does not work on hub then direct USB port is the solution.

all drivers updated. tried all usb ports. services turned on, running and on automatic start. device manager bluetooth reinstalled numerous times. bluetooth software doesnt work in this case i use 'Reinston' bt adapter/dongle which i believe is associated with qualcomm. all troubleshooter does is turning bluetooth radio on each time and saying i may want to restart pc which doesnt change anything. nothing works. even set so my pc can read incoming bluetooth connections in additional bluetooth settings. it just wont see any devices pairing.
Dude - Is it CSR? the problem is some BT devices does not work with windows default BT search screen, you would need compatible software from the BT device manufacturer, the best place to find that software is the cd/disk that came with your BT device. Quando ho deciso di farlo (in questi giorni) installando il driver dall'apposito dischetto, mi appare la scritta: "Non hai una licenza valida per utilizzare CSR Harmony. Contatta il tuo fornitore". In device manager, I have my adapter reading as 'generic bluetooth radio' and when I try to update drivers, there is an option to change it to 'generic bluetooth adapter' , but it wont let me because I get the same Code 31. Ive tried everything here and it still isnt working. *EDIT* . I was extremely short tempered and angry while watching this due to the few hours I spent trying to fix my issue, therefore I misinterpreted step 4. I downloaded the drivers from the manufacture website( tp-link ) and when I installed the driver it turned the generic bluetooth radio to the CSR thing and now it works.

Friend - 1. Pls try to Change USB Port. 2. Try the BT headphone in another computer or phone to see it works there without this problem. 3. Reset BT headphone. 4. Reduce distance. 5. I like this guide - but I am still stuck. The CSR tray application is not generating a Bluetooth tray application for me to then use. Can't work out why not. This is after my native realtek Bluetooth on my laptop stopped detecting and pairing with devices...
Dude - CSR? It works. The idea is the windows default Bluetooth scanner software does work you have to use software that came with your adapter or use the one that I have given or search internet for latest software.

guys if non of these work try this take out your usb dongle/adapter>go to device manger>action(top left corner)>device and printers>add a device(top left corner) than plug your usb dongle/adapter in while its scanning and it should work

This could be a very helpful video but no solution you did talked about was right for me. After a win10 update I lost my Bluetooth connection because of a wrong USB driver. My Bluetooth dongle 4.0 and even my Bluetooth 5.0 dongle did show up again as before. Eventually I did remove all USB drivers and my Bluetooth drivers in device manager and that helped me out. Suddenly I got my Bluetooth running again after hours of an in depth search what causes it. Thanks anyway ;-)

i have a bluetooth dongle 5.0 and it only works the first time detects my controller normally but when i want to connect it again the dongle says driver error and i cant switch bluetooth ON and OFF anymore ( i have bt services on automatic) until i remove the dongle and put it back, and it shows up as generic bluetooth radio in device manager help plz
Dude - pls try these steps side by side by opening this video in another device.
If one solution did not work pls try next.

1. Reset bt device, look for a little hole use sim ejector tool. Search google for your model.
2. Reduce distance between receiver and transmitter.
3. Update driver.

All the solutions (i tried all of them) does'nt work for me when i plug in le csr dongle in any usb port of my pc it make the noise of connecting usb and show the device on c/ bluetooth devices but after a few seconds the connection is turned off with the sound of disconnecting USB ans no bluetooth devices are in c/ bluetooth device.
Method 4 works 100% with USB dongle CSR 4.0. Thanks!

Personally, I had to go into Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), sort all the processes/tasks by name, find the 'C' section, and close each CSR bluetooth or regular bluetooth task. Then I navigated to the 'Taskbar Application' and opening it again.

Atualização: O programa não consegue conectar aos controles, desinstalei ele e conectei pelo Windows e funcionou bem, o programa reparou os drivers para funcionarem somente com o Windows.
Atualização II: O adaptador não funcionou como deveria, continuou apresentando erro de driver, a solução foi comprar um adaptador próprio par isto, o nome é DS50 e custa R$ 55 na Shopee, muito bom, ele reconhece os controles de PS4 como controle de X360, o que facilita tudo. recomendo.

Thanks for the help. Windows told me my bluetooth drivers were up to date and it still didn't work, then I went to the the manufactures site for the particular dongle I had and got their drivers, that did the trick. I guess you can't always trust Windows.

Friend - Sometimes windows default BT connect software and driver wont work.
If CSR pls follow this video to download and install manufacture provided driver and BT connect software.
If others try searching for BT connect software and driver online. But steps are same as in this video.

Just find you adapter in device manager,
then choose to install a driver from a list.
Then "let me choose from list"
CHOOSE GENERIC BLUETOOTH ADAPTER
Then you are done!

Bro, first ensure it works for normal case such as Bluetooth headset. Then try to pair PS4.

Friend - You mean your computer bluetooth works for other devices but not working for purticular device?
If that is the case, sometimes the bluetooth device is in paired/connected with some other device(mobile) which does not allow connection with another device(pc).
Solution:
1. Turn off bluetooth on other devices
2. Restart all your devices.
3. Know how to factory reset your bluetooth device and try doing it (mostly a little hole, in which you can use sim ejector pin)

method 4 works for me but only for one usb port. when i plugged in the usb dongle into the other port, it doesn't work. what should i do? i want my usb dongle to works for both usb ports.
Port inner color changes? it means 2 different port versions. May be your dongle is not supported for that version.
in non working port other usb devices works?
Not sure what's wrong with my machine... I have the TP-Link UB400, which seems to be the same CSR thing. When I launch the tray application there's no new icon in the system tray. Might have to reinstall Windows.

Pls ensure you pair it under right device category. pls try different options.
@@brainerstech the dongle can detect my speakers and phone too. And it works well. But when it comes to the controller the pairing always so slow and eventually fail at the end
issues with this bluetooth adaptor :
Remove other wireless adaptors or atleast remove other adaptors after you see a driver installation processing dialog box ,
Remove other Bluetooth adaptors
only connect from settings or from notifications bar , dont use bluetooth option from devices and drives in This PC / file explorer and make it more complicated
Hi, I have a question I have a BT dongle but when I plug it in my computer it's recognized as just "Dongle" and I can't use it, I'm using windows 7, what can I do to fix this?
Brother, the inbuild bt scan software does not work in all cases that is where the driver and scan software provided by BT dongle manufacturer comes to your rescue..

So, for me, none of these worked. My bluetooth worked fine for months but since this morning the bluetooth icon is greyed out and when I right click it, all of its options are greyed out as well. I tried unplugging the dongle and putting it back in (in all of my USB ports) and sometimes it just goes back to not working without any kind of error message. Some other times it gave me a "you don't have a valid license to run csr harmony" message. No idea why this would suddenly be a thing. I also tried uninstalling the drivers and installing new ones that I downloaded from the manufacturer's website. And I tried restarting my PC. It's still not working. Anyone know what I should do?
Are you talking about windows inbuilt bluetooth icon? or CSR bluetooth icon?
pls try to go to properties or settings and pls try to turn on.

If you're using Windows 10 with a Tp-Link UB400 Bluetooth adaptor and Windows isn't recognising it:
Go to the Windows Device Manager
Look at the Universal Serial Bus controllers
Right-click “CSR Bluecore Bluetooth" and select “Update driver”
Click on “Browse my computer for driver software”
Click on “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer”
Pick “Generic Bluetooth Adaptor” in place of “CSR Bluecore Bluetooth”
Click “next”
And you're done!

my tp link bt adapter does not work properly with zebronics usb hub. why it is suggesed not to use usb hub ?
Friend - It depends some USB hubs are capable enough to handle it, some are not.
Again version and hardware compatibility may also cause issues. so the device does not work on hub then direct USB port is the solution.

If not CSR, pls try to get the software driver from actual manufacturers website or cd that came with product? Or search net for right driver.

I tried solution 4. after double clicking on tray application shortcut the bluetooth option didnt show on the notification area. plz help
all drivers updated. tried all usb ports. services turned on, running and on automatic start. device manager bluetooth reinstalled numerous times. bluetooth software doesnt work in this case i use 'Reinston' bt adapter/dongle which i believe is associated with qualcomm. all troubleshooter does is turning bluetooth radio on each time and saying i may want to restart pc which doesnt change anything. nothing works. even set so my pc can read incoming bluetooth connections in additional bluetooth settings. it just wont see any devices pairing.
Dude - Is it CSR? the problem is some BT devices does not work with windows default BT search screen, you would need compatible software from the BT device manufacturer, the best place to find that software is the cd/disk that came with your BT device.

Man... Hub USB CAN use!! I use the dungle USB in the hub USB and works perfectly.
It depends brother, some low price hubs does not work well.

the bluetooth is working fine but i want to use windows default bluetooth option.

because "Your phone" have calling feature which requires bluetooth and it is saying your pc needs bluetooth device for this feature to work

In that case you may need to buy some other Bluetooth dongle. Check that it is compatible with your OS.

Che cavolo significa? Che devo spendere ancora per acquistare una licenza? Ma siamo matti?

In device manager, I have my adapter reading as 'generic bluetooth radio' and when I try to update drivers, there is an option to change it to 'generic bluetooth adapter' , but it wont let me because I get the same Code 31. Ive tried everything here and it still isnt working. *EDIT* . I was extremely short tempered and angry while watching this due to the few hours I spent trying to fix my issue, therefore I misinterpreted step 4. I downloaded the drivers from the manufacture website( tp-link ) and when I installed the driver it turned the generic bluetooth radio to the CSR thing and now it works.
i did every thing in the video but the thing that says on and off which is supposed to be in the bluetooth is not there and when i try to connect me speaker its says nu bluetooth device in the computer pls help

brother - is it csr? pls use Bluetooth discovery software that came with dongle not the discovery software that is available in windows by default.
for method 4 it says "the code execution cannot proceed because csrbtproxy.dll was not found" help plz
pls try to download CsrBtProxy.dll from internet and try to place in side the folder where you have csr files.
Do I have to delete the windows generic from the hidden devices in Device Manager because Windows 10 hates two radios?
Bro - Windows picks one driver per device. Unless driver is not picked after restart no action required.

I like this guide - but I am still stuck. The CSR tray application is not generating a Bluetooth tray application for me to then use. Can't work out why not. This is after my native realtek Bluetooth on my laptop stopped detecting and pairing with devices...

The idea is the windows default Bluetooth scanner software does work you have to use software that came with your adapter or use the one that I have given or search internet for latest software.

guys if non of these work try this take out your usb dongle/adapter>go to device manger>action(top left corner)>device and printers>add a device(top left corner) than plug your usb dongle/adapter in while its scanning and it should work
