    So, truth be told, it's the person holding the camera is the artist creating the photo. Next, understand the foundation of this channel and photography itself, "the camera does not make a bad photographer a great photographer", a camera of $42 or $4,200. will not create an award-winning shot.
    As far as post processing your work, well if you want to get the finest image you can after the shutter clicks, you absolutely must do some post work.

    *Photographer Carmine Taverna Defines Street Photography in these words;
    Street photography, a genre of photography that records everyday life in a public place. The very publicness of the setting enables the photographer to take candid pictures of strangers, often without their knowledge. Street photographers do not necessarily have a social purpose in mind, but they prefer to isolate and capture moments which might otherwise go unnoticed.
    ***Why are CCD cameras better?
    CCD sensors create high-quality, low-noise images. CMOS sensors are usually more susceptible to noise. Because each photosite on a CMOS sensor has several transistors located next to it, the light sensitivity of a CMOS chip tends to be lower, as many of the photons hit the transistors instead of the photosite.

Unlike other forms of photography, fine art photography is about capturing what the artist sees instead of what the camera sees. It is just another tool for artists to produce their art."

    I'm a total amateur but am already a fan of MPB after only a few orders.
    I like peruzzing eBay and over the years have couple of antique cameras you can't even get film for anymore .. but for a serious camera I wanted to either shop Adorama, KEH etc.
    I gambled on MPB and purchased a Nikon D100 for $30. I played with it and followed channels like Carmine's for a few tips. Then, last week, I saw MPB had the battery grip for the D100 for $4 (!!) It came today and now I'm playing with my DSLR again! _(Dealing with a health issue this past year I needed more of a 360⁰ grip.)_
    I really appreciate MPB as they have equipment for the low end amateur (me) and for the high end pro!

    I bought a D60 to go on a once-in-a-lifetime UK trip. Wasn't cheap in about 2008. Still have it, but I'm not sure where the batteries are. Didn't take pics for a long time, but now I have an X-T5.

    That would make a very good street photography camera also because of its compact size. You could also slap a Holga f mount lens on it and shoot all the Lomo Photos you want.

      I saw that Holga on Amazon and gave it 2 thoughts...but with actual Nikkor lenses available at a decent price I didn't purchase it.
      But it's food for thought if I ever want to replicate those shots from my old Diana!

    i keep shooting with the D60-D40-D40x, IMHO you have to know your camera and the D60 is easy to learn; if you cannot use a camera to it's fullest potential it's a waste-- i.e. higher specs did not make me better at photography, it just gave me some higher quality, uninspired pictures. btw putting some good glass on these cameras is a must, i use a Tamron AF 17-50mm f/2.8 SP XR Di II LD Aspherical non-VC

      Exactly, been shooting with a D60 for several years and it's been my favorite camera to shoot. Simple yet powerful. I got amazing results with the kit lens 18-55, 50, 55-200mm the AFS lenses and will say they work just fine. Most of my bests shot where on that little camera. Very simple and a great camera to learn on for the digital SLR cameras and a great stepping stone for more advanced cameras. Compared to the same generation of canon they are quite similar in operating. Too bad my gear was damaged beyond repair a couple years back in a car accident. I will be getting another d60 as it was just a great little performer

    I was checking out Ebay last night, found a Fujifilm S-3 Pro with Nikon 28mm AF lens listed for a starting bid of $125 or BIN price of $250. One hour left and no bids. I waited until the last minute and bid on it. I was the only bidder, got it for $125! Shipping was a little high ($25) in my opinion, but I got the camera and lens for $156. total! I have a S-3 I bought new when they came out but the back screen no longer works (still takes great images, just can't view them on camera). I didn't NEED another S-3 but I thought the price was great. Looking forward to getting my new (OLD) camera!! :)

    • @CarmineTavernaPhotography
      @CarmineTavernaPhotography  Год назад +2

      Wow, great deal..that camera is awesome because; The S3 Pro utilizes Fujifilm's "extended dynamic range" SuperCCD SR sensor which features two photodiodes at each photosite (a single 'input pixel'). The 'S' pixel has normal sensitivity and captures the same range of light as a conventional CCD photosite, the 'R' pixel is smaller and has a lower sensitivity and is designed to capture detail above the saturation point of the 'S' pixel, the camera can then combine the information from the 'S' and 'R' pixels to produce an extended dynamic range and avoid the loss of detail due to over-exposure

    I picked up a pristine D40X kit including the 18-55 lens for $55. The camera had less than 4000 shutter count and looked like it just came out of the box. I'm a happy camper 😊

      @CarmineTavernaPhotography Thanks for the link. I'm heavily invested in Oympus M43 but I was looking at some old images taken with a Nikon D40 and was surprised just how good they were. Hence my D40X acquisition. My thoughts now are - the SOOC JPGs are so nice, I may just forgo shooting in RAW.

    The D60 is good for 9 x13 300dpi prints , so if you want to sell 8 x10 photos only , it's a really good camera. I really like it with Nikkor manual lenses. It's like having an FE body in digital but with matrix metering.
