Beautiful tribute to John and I second everything you said. I am a huge fan on everything John - the tecture and tone of his voice, his ability to sing anything at any range and make you feel it, his humour and gentleness and everything that makes him who he is. So so happy that I have had the privilege of living on this planet during the same period as John Farnham and got to grow up with that beautiful voice in my ears my whole life. Best gift in the world to have that. Thank you John and thank you Offtap for your most heartfelt tribute. For anyone interested, John has released his autobiography book and an audio version that is personally narrated (along with his wife, as well as his long friend Gaynor Wheatley). Have listened to 45 minutes of it and wow what a roller coaster of emotion I went through in that small portion of the audio book. Worth a listen or read. His voice is obviously affected by the surgery, but from what you read earlier Offtap, that he couldnt open his mouth for a piece of spaghetti, it looks promising that he has been able to narrate this book. Hopefully he will fully recover as time goes on and be able to enjoy the rest of his life.
He is 75 years old. His voice is the same but the surgery has stopped him opening his mouth. John has given us more than 5 decades of music. I am grateful for that. Tonight I lost my Uncle who was less than 2 years older than I am. He had brain stem cancer and lung cancer. He was never a smoker. Let John rest now.
