On a recent trip to sunny Florida, we stopped at an iconic little joint in Tampa called Mel's Hot Dogs. Owner Mel Lohn sat down & entertained and enlightened us. We chowed on Chicago Dogs, mingled with the locals and had a great visit!

FYI...
over 50 years back East... they always serve FREE Fries with their World Redound Hot Dogs... So it is more of a Classic to serve them with fries... then not...
