Do not buy they are crap overpriced plastic toys. I bought them for my son for Christmas and right away they didn't work properly. They don't reload like how they should, they're not accurate when it comes to shooting, the guns won't work all of sudden even with fresh batteries, to expensive for crap quality, the guns will shoot without finger triggering. I watched so many reviews with Dads saying their great, good, so much fun but I feel bamboozled.
its because you got a dud. it happened to me to. turn it on with the adapter, hold the trigger down for 2 seconds and shake to reload. best experience with the scope. hope i helped!!

Have your son try airsoft or paintball of course you'll need some gear but the airsoft/paintball guns are way more reliable and more fun.
Yea but little kids are not gonna pick up an airsoft gun and know what to do
