I absolutely LOVE singapore rice noodles -- I could eat them for every meal -- and I'm faaaarrrr from being Asian (I'm a black woman). Thanks for the recipe and video instructions. I had fun listening to your video about Mei Fun!
Your videos are absolutely amazing, I don't know why they aren't more popular. You explain everything well, you have a good sense of humor, and they are relatively short. Please keep them coming.
I made this and it turned out *DELICIOUS* I couldn't stop eating it, however the thin rice noodles I got had more than yours, 6.75 oz and I got a little apprehensive because it filled the top if my wok but I managed to maneuver around it and it was seasoned by the sauce pretty good. I had to substitute black pepper for white pepper out all the 50 spices we have in our house that is the only spice we didn't have and I'm glade I used black pepper it gave the dish a crisp taste that complimented the veggies very nicely! Thank you!!
I have been looking for a recipe for this for some time now,I'm so glad I found your channel on youtube . everytime I go out for chinese food I look for this dish and have found only one place that serves it. well now I won't have to try and find it, I'll just make it, and like you I could probably eat the whole thing myself, It's so good
I just had beef mei fun for the first time yesterday and I'm already craving it again! And so....... here I am. Thanks for the awesome video! You made me laugh AND made me believe that I might actually be able to make this. Just maybe.
Yours was the first video that came up when I searched, "mei fun". Looked good, and by a small miracle, I happened to have all the ingredients on hand. I just made it, and I'm eating it right now. YUM!!!!!!!! Excellent recipe! I subscribed.
This is probably the greatest narrated recipe ever. Very clear, measurements in both systems, reasons for why things are done a certain way, substitutions for other flavors. New subscriber here
Your channel is one of my favorites. Your wok skills and personality make your videos extremely fun to watch. The curry version is one of my top 10 Chinese favorites.
Made this tonight. Triple batch. A lot of chopping...but sooooo worth it. Delicious! Thanks for sharing your technique/recipe. One of my new favorites.
I just discovered your channel (a little late to the party! ) I made the stir fry vegetables today and loved them. I'll be making them again tomorrow! I'll also be trying more of your recipes. Hope you up load more videos, I really enjoy watching them. They're short and to the point! And you have a very relaxing voice!
Thank you very much for the wonderful demonstration of the art of cooking this favoriate dish of mine. I particularly love all the veggies and your sense of humor and spunky comments. very sexy!!!!
Have eaten an egg version (no other protein like pork or chicken) of this many times over the years, and it is hands-down one of the best Asian dishes. The job you've done with your recipe and showing of how to prepare it gives it the respect it deserves. Well done.
Love your sense of humor while showing your chef skills. I really enjoy your meals. Thank you for sharing, and keeping it simple for us want to be chefs, lol.
I always love this Chinese kind of food, I believe I can cook this on my own for watching ur video. Thanks for making it simple to know how to cook this food
I guess I'm buying a WOK! (I turn to my husband, his mouth watering and eyes glazed) "you want me to make" I say to him while pointing to the computer screen. He shacks his head, yes as he still is memorized by the RUclips video. Thanks for the video I have subscribed! Husband to wife: I'll even buy you a wok, just make that food!
Always the best recipes form The Art of Cooking! Authentic, accurate, no nonsense and with a great sense of humor! They always come out perfect for us!
That's a load of crap! My wife is Thai. Thai food sucks. They mince everything and the over season the shit out of everything so it's so hot you can't eat it.
so you don't boil the noodles?? just in hot water for 10 mins and then cook in the wok and that's it? ive been boiling the noodles and it never tastes like the restaurant
i never boil. just soak in warm water, then I cut it into shorter pieces and heat it in my wok with the seasonings until its done. no pot of boiling water ever.
Catherine it is available in most big supermarkets in Britain like Tesco, Morrisona Sainsbury's. They call it chinese leaf cabbage or chinese salad leaves.
Catherine Arnott it's a type of cabbage. It's longer and more oval shaped than regular cabbage. The leaves are very tight. Each leaf will have a white center going from the root to tip of the leaf then both sides will be bright green and the texture will almost be like lace or crepe paper. It's used in a ton of Asian dishes: stir fries as a filler for meat based stir fries or as the star in a vegetarian stir fry; Kimchi (main ingredient); dumplings (potstickers)- the napa cabbage keeps the meat from drying out and adds juice and flavor It lasts for months in the fridge drawer.
Thank you so much this is my favorite dish...I use everything listed & exclude the meat. I do put in extra eggs, onions and mushrooms. I could eat this for every meal 😋
Looks so good! And I have all the ingredients! Well I have regular cabbage, jut I bet it will be just as tasty! Thanks for the recipe!! Love your channel and all the food always turns out great!!
I made this recipe and it was terrific! I followed the recipe, and the only thing I changed was I used red pepper in place of the nappa cabbage and I added more white cabbage. This recipe is so flavorful and very easy to follow....thank you!
I know this is a old video but it doesn't change the fact that it's a good video with a DELICIOUS dish. I will be making this dish this weekend. Thanks for taking the time to share.

The Chinese are food artists.
Not really, the Thai are, and the German, and the French, and the Dutch, not ever the Chinese
That's a load of crap! My wife is Thai. Thai food sucks. They mince everything and the over season the shit out of everything so it's so hot you can't eat it.
+kuei12 you don't deserve to be married to a Thai person then
Nobody deserves to have to be married to a Thai woman. They are crazy.
kuei12 lol
Absolutely gorgeous, and I really love watching wok cooking. So fast!
Thank you so much for making this video, I could live off of this stuff!!

i never boil. just soak in warm water, then I cut it into shorter pieces and heat it in my wok with the seasonings until its done. no pot of boiling water ever.
Dummy it not pasta for rague
No if you do the noodles get soggy. For glass noodle or thin mei fun noodle never boil unless you make soup.
J 7 ...you don't really and leftover noodles can be kept in the ref in a Ziploc bag for another recipe but not for long. Oh how I love noodles!😋😋😋😋
Lol me too
Made this today as your instruction except for the white pepper. Used black pepper instead. Whole family loved this. Thank you.
hi I can only eat rice noodles with my gluten free diet., thank you going to try this. can I ask what nappa is please. is that pak chow in Britain
It is a type of cabbage and it has a similar texture to the savoy cabbage.
OK thank you that's easy enough to get here cheers
Catherine it is available in most big supermarkets in Britain like Tesco, Morrisona Sainsbury's. They call it chinese leaf cabbage or chinese salad leaves.
Napa is Korean cabbage. It's used to make kim chi.
