Like you said, " Some of them ". You got to remember, b 4 full contact was even thought about, everyone in competition was pulling their punches (with the exception of Bruce Lee, who did not believe in playing tag, he believed in wearing safety equipment and going 100% ALL OUT, JUST LIKE WESTERN BOXING IN A BOXING RING).BL was way ahead of everyone's time. Pulling your punches and kicks and throwing a person to the matt(you lay the person down gently, no full contact, no throwing a person down hard on the matt).Bruce Lee has a saying," that would be like swimming on dry land, in order to learn how to swim you have to get into the water!
All that sounds exciting, until you see all of your best friends showing signs of pugilistic dementia Bruce was only 33 when he died! There are some who believe that the edema his brain suffered at the time of his death was aggravated by concussion! Parts of his face showed swelling, check the photos! There's no glory in brain damage, especially inflicting it on others! just a pathetic death.... SO PULL YOUR PUNCHES AND KICKS WHILE SPARRING. Remember, it was never meant to be a sport.

Guys people dont realize bruce was a fighter before an actor, when he was young he was getting in all sorts of fights that's the reason why his father sent him to America to go to school, so that he.can try and change his ways.
Love this. So many people who never grew up during bruce lees time or knew him or trained with him think they know him so well and fighting ethic here is actual testimonial proof from someone who did all of the above with him and also was a champion saying what should be the obvious.
Bruce Lee had the best technique I have ever seen bar none. His quick twitch muscles were made for this. Break down all those fights on film and pay attention to the details as far as balance and weight distribution along with angles and footwork. Beyond elite. Guy was a freak of nature. It is humanly impossible to be any more dedicated to his craft and more disciplined.
@@efisgpr Thank you. You see you get it. There is a reason the dude is on the cover of martial arts magazines 50 years after his passing. I was taught bye someone who taught with a similar philosophy master Richie Barathy of American Combat Karate.
@Dooray MArshall The best tournament fighter on the East coast named Louis Delgado from Nisei Goju in Alphabet City in Manhattan went out to California and fought with Bruce. Bruce wiped the floor with him. This is a fact.
For all the naysayers out there, I grew up in Seattle like Bruce Lee and was totally obsessed with wanting to be like this man. I even learned and master his coin switching trick. Today, I can do the nunchucks at full speed blindfolded and have shown the video to friends and acquaintances to everyone's amazement. I told everyone that had Bruce Lee done it blindfolded, it would have been at an insane speed compared to mine.

But what was even more prevalent was that look in his eyes, the strength in his stance along with the confidence in his voice….if he says Bruce Lee was all that and more, I will confidently take and back him at his word!
Bruce Lee was very intelligent, he had to get stuck at competitions limited by rules that had rather little to do with fighting. he became a father at an early age and wore contact lenses, who knows if they were made of glass at the time. Be careful what you ask for, he wanted fame and then he had to drink it with all the consequences, who knows if he overpaid the highest price, i.e. with the final death. he stole from commercialized and made money on his art One day he closed all schools because he noticed that people took his teachings badly, they wanted to be like him and not to explore the inner self. Bruce Lee was an incredibly interesting person

Hear that guys. That's why some martial arts actors didn't fight for money. They didn't need to when they already making more.
@Natural Creature you can't be that stupid... Just once show the video show anything other than people saying he fought all the time which he didn't... The black belt sand judo and Tang sudo very much geared towards street self-defense what makes you think Chuck Norris couldn't do that? What a maroon
This is why people LOVE Chuck Norris, humble and no ego getting in the way of his superstardom!❤️👏😎🙏RESPECT❤️
When Chuck Norris does push-ups, he doesn’t push himself up, he pushes the multiverse down.
Speaking of swimming, Chuck Norris can swim through land.
Well said, well said...😊

Fair points.
And yet Norris, who certainly took plenty of hits, is still alive and relatively healthy. In fact, for a man his age, he's in sterling shape.
Even if those competitive sparring partners pulled their punches, I'm sure Norris got his bell rang or his clock cleaned more than once.
2 legends man respect 👍
"Bruce was a very rare type of individual" means everything coming from Chuck Norris
Guys people dont realize bruce was a fighter before an actor, when he was young he was getting in all sorts of fights that's the reason why his father sent him to America to go to school, so that he.can try and change his ways.
Yes, he fought a lot of Chinese men who were even smaller than him.
Love this. So many people who never grew up during bruce lees time or knew him or trained with him think they know him so well and fighting ethic here is actual testimonial proof from someone who did all of the above with him and also was a champion saying what should be the obvious.
Chuck comes across as so humble. God bless you sir. UK comment
A living legend honoring the legend of Bruce Lee,, Chuck is the man👊
I like Chuck Norris. Great fighter / martial artist AND all around class act.
Well said! 31 years of martial arts for me so far and his technique is perfection: the more I learn, the more I see there. It's beyond amazing.
@Dooray MArshall did a lot more then point fighting. But you are a genius and 17 so you know.
@Dooray MArshall look for arguments elsewhere.
Always a gentleman. That's why everyone loves Chuck Norris.
Chuck is a legend too. I think it's cool that they were friends. I am a fan of them both.
Any time I see chuck I see Bruce lee the way of the dragon
Bruc Lee was the King and hi stil the king off all tiem
If Bruce had been a fighter, seeing him pick an opponent apart would just be poetry.
So Kabib couldn't defeat him? Only in your dreams. Even Connor would beat him.
I love Chuck and Bruce. God rest his soul.
Chuck is one of the best ever, and I like how he acknowledged his one time friend and colleague Bruce Lee.R.I.P
@Dooray MArshall lmao
I’ve had the opportunity to meet Mr. Norris twice and on both occasions you couldn’t ask for a more respectful gentleman, with a kind demeanor. But what was even more prevalent was that look in his eyes, the strength in his stance along with the confidence in his voice….if he says Bruce Lee was all that and more, I will confidently take and back him at his word!
The best humbling words ever said about Bruce. Chuck, you are truly a star..
Bruce was the Beatles of martial arts.
Bruce didn,t have to become a fighter, because he already was. THE BEST.
Not.

What a great way to remember his memory. Bruce is one of the most humble and down to earth individuals I've seen. He's a legend for a reason
Carlos Norris still look like he can whoop some ass...salute sir 👍🏽🍺
Bruce Lee was very intelligent, he had to get stuck at competitions limited by rules that had rather little to do with fighting. he became a father at an early age and wore contact lenses, who knows if they were made of glass at the time. Be careful what you ask for, he wanted fame and then he had to drink it with all the consequences, who knows if he overpaid the highest price, i.e. with the final death. he stole from commercialized and made money on his art One day he closed all schools because he noticed that people took his teachings badly, they wanted to be like him and not to explore the inner self. Bruce Lee was an incredibly interesting person
Your english wording and sentence structuring is terrible!.., either english isn't your native language or you were an early school dropout!?!?
Almost 83 years old still lookin like hes 50. Long live Chuck Norris!
I could listen to him tell stories all day especially about Bruce Lee.
Bruce lee is fighter he doesn't want to hurt anyone with his punch .i respect chuck too.
Ultimate respect ,for both Bruce an Chuck 💪
No hero worship just pure admiration... thanks Chuck for you and Bruce because together you both changed the world of martial arts forever...!!!
Chuck Norris is and always has been a class act.
👏👏👏👍👍👍He was incredeble fast and if he went the competitive route he would done extremely well. This is said by a 7 times world champion karate. So to the peoples who are thinking he was only an actor : 🙂😊😄🤣. Nice interview my friend, first time i see it 👍🙂
@karateka J 👏👍 yeah my friend this is proof Bruce Lee wasn't just an actor he was a real fighter. all the haters out there how much proof do you need??? 😁👍👍👍
That 7 time WORLD Champion Martial Artists is MR.Chuck Norris.
Before he said he would have done extremely well.. he was going to say something out of this world.. like he would have been world champ easily.. Or he would have kicked ass easily dominating.. watch again.. but he pause , maybe not to piss off other fighters or for what ever reason.. still great respect to Bruce from chuck Norris 👍🙏🏽
Nobody knows how it would be, but Bruce was extreme kind of hard worker. When you read about his evolution, his notes, workout plans, as Chuck said, training was his life. You know that this guy didn't want to waste any second of his life, just pure dedication and passion to get better and better every day in every aspect connected to martial arts. Very rare kind of man with incredible mind set.
