- Stony Point Fashion Park is a struggling outdoor mall that seems to have lost its status as a premier fashion destination. However, it seems to be finding a new life with smaller alternative businesses.

Yes this mall is super affluent. I like this place.😊💖I also like all the fountains.⛲They are beautiful.
Thanks and Keep em Rolling!
Wow I can’t believe how dead it is! I used to live in Chesterfield County 2008-2015. I have many memories of my children playing in the water fountain. It was definitely too high end for us but we enjoyed walking around. This mall was closer than Short Pump plus it had the spray park. I have so many memories of this place. I can’t get over how much it’s changed. They had events for Easter and Christmas. I remember it being packed with people like how indoor malls used to be. They used to have a train for kids and the fountain was surrounded by kids stores like Build a Bear and The Children’s Place.
1st. We used to go to that mall when we lived in Richmond in 2009. It was too upscale for us. Everything seems to be going to outdoor malls and I prefer to be out of the weather myself. It was fully occupied in 2009. Did you visit any other Richmond malls? Virginia Center Commons is gone now. There were a lot of punks that wanted to hang out in the South Park Mall on weekends when we lived there.
I'm from the Petersburg area. And Southpark is so ghetto nowadays. I call it cloverleaf mall part 2 lol
This mall might be near dead, but it sure has nice aesthetics.
Very nice mall! It’s time to sip champagne and enjoy caviar while we spend money without restriction! 😂💰
Yassssssssss
Wonderful Video!!!!! I Like the Fountains!!!! F+L, Corey
Two factors that caused this mall to decline
1) Location - This mall is not located in an optimal area for retail. This area of Chippenham Parkway is very isolated from other shopping corridors, major roadways and other development.
2) Not a right market fit - Richmond has a come a long way, but it still does not have the population to support an entire mall of upscale retailers. Nordstrom closed a couple of years ago, Bloomingdale's declined to enter the market, and the Saks Fifth Avenue location is on life support. The Saks has been downsized to one level. The last time I was there, it had the appearance of a clearance center. I don't anticipate Saks staying much longer.
I like this mall! But short pump is just better mall! I hope it doesn't die
I live in Chesterfield county, unfortunately Short Pump opening up did this one in.
I love th is place, looks like a great place to relax and people watch
Bringing back the derelict digs with a gross rich people mall, lol. I have said it before, and I will say it again, why do they build outdoor malls like this in terrible climates. Open malls are not a comfortable place to walk around and window shop in 90 degrees+ weather. I bet most of the stores close before the sun sets, so you can't shop in the evening when temps are more bearable.
Ugghhh, I am not a huge fan of outdoor malls. Never have been, never will be. Too much walking and exporsure to the elements.
Yes, me too but I still like this outdoor mall.
I'm not a fan of outdoor malls. We've taken a step backwards as Western Civilization declines...
Me neither. My preference are indoor malls, but this place is still really luxurious looking. I think I would still shop here.
