I haven’t been able to sew blocks for the Civil War Quilt-along, but I am following along with your monthly videos and via member posts in the Nine Patch a Day FB group. I thoroughly enjoy seeing how small changes in color placement can make the blocks look very different. Thanks for all you do, Karen! You’re one of my favorite teachers.
Thank you for these videos. I am yet to get the book but hope to watch all the videos again when I do. One question...I watched you select fabrics for the overall project but how did you select colours for each block? Did you have in mind which block would go next to which, etc in selecting the fabrics and colours?
Karen, you answered all of my questions but one that I asked earlier this week. The only one left was how can you mark a ruler that does not have 1/4 Inch increments. I am having iPad problems and cannot get to the post where you ask for questions. That is why I am communicating with you here. Thanks for everything you do for us.
These videos are SO SO helpful, more than how to do a block, such as considering the sashing colors and balancing colors across the quilt. Thank you!

Thank you.
Thank you for these videos! Really enjoy and give great advice!
Thank you for the video. Just received my book, so I can start sewing. Until next time stay safe.

Was Block 6 omitted intentionally because it was all HSTs?
She's doing the blocks in random order.
My guess is that the block is pretty straightforward, and no need for a video to explain it.
Thanks. See you in June!
Q: block 6?
