  • In this video I custom attach a trailer hitch to the back of my off-road lawnmower made out of 1/8 angle iron and 3/16 flat-bar with a 2 inch ball.
Since the back plate that is originally suppose to be there isn't, this angle iron will offer more support for the rear end.

I'm also trying to get a peerless 820 for my mower, I found one for sale with 12 inch rims with it, I'm going to try and stick that in my mud mower with 26 inch tires

Hey, I’d run some angle iron/tubing along the sides of the mower, and some cross supports, especially in the rear. Without them, after some off-roading, you’ll break the front support bracket next to the left rear tire, and tweak the frame. The transaxle relies on the frames support for strength, if it’s flexing it will break the aluminum housing.

Builds coming out dope though, I’ve built a few and after a lot of off-roading without proper frame support I broke a transaxle support bracket/transaxle, twisted the frame, and body on my mud/race mower.

Yeah I do need to beef up the frame sometime soon!

@@Kingjulian- I'm kind of thinking about doing that but at the same time I kind of like the governor because I don't want to worry about revving to high especially in the lower gears.
