  • In this video, I take the camera around and show some changes I have made to the offroad lawnmower. I painted some white stars on it to make it look like the old Willy Jeeps from WWII because the factory color is forest green, has a pretty cool look, and has a good theme for this build. 6-inch engine pulley for a bit more speed and reliability. A couple of other little things as well so enjoy!

Can anyone guess what the next thing I am probably going to do on this? This might be at Busco Beach for the next Mini Mayhem so stick around!

You should put front fenders on it to make it look like fenders on the willy jeep

That's not a bad idea, it will also keep a lot of mud off of me but I don't really know what I can use or how to build it to make it look good lol. If something comes to mind or I got something that will work then I will give it a shot!

for belt guards, i used 1/8 x 1" flat bar and bent it around the pulley. I have some vids and pics on my channel if you want to look at it. and for tires, knobbys will grip better, but still slide some.

Alright! I mainly want grippy front tires and if I can get a good deal on wheels and tires then I can have two sets lol. 20x10x8 and 15x6x6 are kind of hard to find a more off-road/ATV tire pattern.

@IngenTechNational I know 18s will fit on the front with an 8 inch rim, and 22-11-8 will just barely clear the shifter

Those Nikki carbs are not my favorite, that jet being one reason. The plastic and the amount of gaskets in there make me prefer the Walbro. That being said, im still running a Nikki carb on mine, just what was on it lol I got a spare engine with a Walbro, not sire why i haven't switched it, probably will when it gives me Hell.
On mine, i took the deck pulley from the bottom of that double stacked stock one, and used it for the drive (5" i think?) Then took the original engine pulley (3" i think?) and swapped it for the gigantic one on the tranny. I run an 89" belt, it moves faster than it should, but i can still use it for yard work or moving my flatbed trailer around. It's definitely hard too move a 12' tailer with the differential welded. Hard to turn anyway haha

Yeah, I got a slide carb(not mikuni) but the Go Power Sports upgraded carb for like a 212 laying around that will take a bit of tweaking to make it fit but this is a 508cc engine and putting a 212cc carb is less than half the size, so I might get a slightly different one one day but I still like having the governor attached because off-roading and hauling just seems to perform better especially for under 20mph use. Racing mower 40-50mph is different and I prefer no governor on it, but this is the original carb on this engine when I got the mower so imma keep running it threw hell until it fails lmao.

Ive never had the jet actually fall outta there, but every time i take mine apart I have to replace that one o-ring that seemingly keeps gas from flooding the crankcase. But that's also why i installed the very same gas shutoff switch you got goin on.
I Think my engine is about the same as yours. Mines a single cylinder Briggs Intek OHV, 31G777, says "503cc" on the cowl.
Been waiting for a mower video for a minute!

@@dogsandwich77 Oh alright! These engines are pretty common I think, mainly the 28 ci but ours are 31 ci so we basically got the "350s" out of the "305s" if you know what I mean lol.
