I think for a Pass It On, I would like to see an all Chef's edition. Talk Poppy and James into it, give every one 20 minutes (maybe even 30 so they can get extra chef-y) and then watch them all bounce and pivot on each others ideas. Obviously challenge them with a tough brief, multiple courses but at some point in the cooking for each chef one of the normals comes in and tells them they must use some ingredient that they like (Jamie will probably need to pick some other than bacon). It won't have the usual delightful chaos the normals infuse into a pass it on but I would really like to see how the chefs would work trying to enact their own visions on each other's work.
Or instead of the normals telling them an ingredient, why not let each normal cut in as we have seen some of the guests do. Oh the havoc they would create.
oh that sounds fantastic, i was campaigning for a similar thing back when james still worked at sorted, just have ben and james (or however many chefs you wanna involve) ping the dish back and forth for a couple of times, 5-10 minutes each. i just wanna see what kind of system they'd work out to communicate with each other!

Now there's a good theme for pass it on. You can only add to the dish. You can't remove anything that someone before you has done. That includes ingredients laid out. If someone else grabbed it, you have to use it. You are only free to make changes to anything you've done (without changing what came before).

I'd love to see a pass it on where each person picks an ingredient before anyone starts cooking and they HAVE to use that ingredient no matter what everyone else picked. The order could be based on the size of the ingredient they chose.
So Jamie would have bacon, Mike would have peanut butter, James the prosecco shimmer, Ebbers the sprig of mint and Barry something to feature on a future pretentious ingredient episode, like a crazy truffle. Though it doesn't matter what Barry picks, because the guys would hide it and give him a cloud egg. Irritatingly, it all comes together to give Jamie his cooked breakfast.
It’s really lovely that James takes the time to still come back and shoot with his friends, and it’s really graceful of the boys to let James go pursue his dreams but still come back when he has free time. They are the definition of adult friendships, sometimes personal growth may separates you, but you have to still continue to make the effort for your true friends. I love to see it.

I totally agree, Barry gets a lot of criticism when he does not follow the original plan. Because he wants to do something else instead. Everyone else is just as guilty. The order was fantastic. But what was really special was how Jamie comes in to several dishes, takes a second before coming over all Robin Williams' Genie... Thinking, I've no doubt "Let's make some magic!", Before basically combining almost everything into a glorious dish. Clearly the shimmer (commonly known as Tinkerbell's fairy dust) made all the magic happen!
Honestly this is the one video that I am going to agree with Barry's rating on himself. He had an incredibly strong start with a very clear direction and vision. That's 10 worthy to me.
