Really good video! I havent even considered list zone/mirage gate as an option. Armarouge/ magma basin could be a good one too. Dragapult definitely leaves it up to you to get creative and build a deck that it can synergize well with, and possibly making it so that no two decks are exactly the same vs the predictability of the decks currently dominating the meta
I think that Lance is a great supporter to have in Dragapult EX decks. You can BBP for a pair of Dreepy and then Lance next turn and get three Drakloak going on just your second turn
Though I would rather tm Evolution on first turn to get drakloak, then I can use my recons, use Lance for some dragapults, and then turn 2 u already have dragapult
I know that by percentage of victories there will be a better version, but for me the Xatu version is my favorite as it looks the most straightforward version, but indeed will try out Miraidon again and see if it indeed have a resurgence here in the TCG.
I’m surprised I’ve not seen any builds combining both xatu and pidgeot as support, in the same way tord zard uses pidgeot and bidoof. Maybe there’s something there? Although maybe there just isn’t enough deck space in dragapult ex to do so 😅

I believe the board building with dragapult will be similar to gardevoir ex. You'll likely have one dragapult ex as active, tatsugiri, the middle evo of draga, 1-2 xatu and 1 radiant alakazam. Guess it's quite crowded to include pidgeot
I'm a team dragapult, but on my LGS there is a Garde player that doing so well, when charizard broken Meta on TEF they take break not playing PTCG for 3 month. But after comeback for new release they won a new expansion event. Still confused on what dragapult I wanna play😢
Solid vid! ❤ Seems like Xatu build would be horrible in the mirror match. Neo upper energy seems perfect except we now get enhanced hammer. Perhaps using Roseannes backup or Cyllene w the pidgeot build and neo upper could be a good combo?
Espathra isn't as much of a meme as it is a rogue deck at the right place at the right time. No top 8s or wins under its belt but it was a very good anti-Zard deck
Don't worry, we have 70 hp frigibax, so if any chien pao players that play a 60 hp frigibaxs in their deck, i replace it with 70 hp ones, but bidoof wouldnt survive against dragapult ex sadly, but we cant give up yet. There are still hope for chien pao.
@@AkiraPKMNTCGandGUNPLA There's nothing to worry, we can switch out the 60 HP bidoof and frigibax for the 70hp ones and concede the game immediately every time you start one of them, we also solve the "games being too long" problem too
@@keldeo05 yeah but the thing about bidoof withn the prevent damage ability since radiant greninja exist, even tho is used for draw cards but water decks can uses its attack to do 90 damage to 2 any pkmn, but manaphy helps to protect against radiant greninja, but not for dragapult, but we can figure out how to counter against dragapult so it wont be no worries.
Gotta say, xatu build seems like the best so far, 🤷 ace spec decision is the hardest part tho, i went with scoop up cyclone to be able to reset damage, so far ive won all 3 games on live with it, i beat gardevoir, ogrepon, and future box
Get rid of Drackloak (run 1 to counter tm devo), and run 2-2 bidoof, Bibarael with Dragapult and Charizard ex, problem sorted, consistent, great energy acceleration and has a high power level.
I really like the version that uses armarogue and magma basin to accelerate energy. This also allows you to supplement psychic energy with luminous energy. Which is awesome because now you can include cool attackers like raikou v or rad heatran
The straight list with the radiant alakazaam and Xatu seems to be the most consistent list. The hybrid lists like lost box or charizard seem to lack focus How has testing been?
So far when playing Pao, pult doesnt feel like as bad a match up as everyone says. Pult usually doesnt attack till turn 2 or turn 3 and by then you can have set up ninja or hands. I do like Pult tho, ive been doing really well playing it with the lost zone engine.

Pigeot doesn’t seem good since your main Pokemon doesn’t find energy on its own like charizard does.

Yeah having both might be a little too tight as having Energy every turn for Xatu isn't easy so not equivalent to having Pidge + Bib

It appears, that Manaphy does not stop the 60 for the guys on the bench. At least this evening in TCG live.
Manaphy was never intended to stop them, Manaphy stops damage (like Greninja ex's bench damage), not damage counters, there's a difference

the LZ engine should be more consistent as you draw more and load faster your dragapult
Since there are many cards that hurt LZ next set, I don't think this is the optimal way to play it
Xatu has been consistent so far, next up is Lost Zone variant for my testing
