Yeah, I was there in 1970 (Jethro Tull's in some of the footage, so that bit is 1970) fantastic atmosphere, terrific music, but appalling conditions although when you're just 17, who cares? At least I wasn't the poor sod who fell down the 'trench'! So thanks for the film and the music, do the 'Dansette Kings' have an LP out, sorry CD, it must be all those thoughts about 1970!
+Ilderton Mann Hi , thanks for the feedback.The band was ended tragically with the sudden death of our lead guitarist last year. But , yes we did record a lot of songs and i posted a lot on the tribute i did ON RUclips ,,MICK MCRAE..Unfortunately youtube has taken the sound off of the tribute,i presume because i included JULIA by LENNON as it was his fav song !I will reinstate the tribute soon+sound , so keep a lookout.We will shortly be putting some on itunes,, Meanwhile,look at ELAINE MATTHEWS (2 T'S) channel, LOTS of our stuff there CHEERS ,TC

It's appalling and heartless that the sound was forcibly muted on your tribute. The Dansette Kings certainly had a feel for that sixties sound. Your version of 'Rain' is fantastic.

I was there aged 17 and had a great hope that on the Isle of Man and Woodstock where only before in our history such numbers had only met to kill each other - we met to listen to music and if lucky as happen to me make love .... Arrrr memories where is she now :-). But we could not have been even more naive that music would change people, even then at Isle of Man there were left wing fanaticals expecting it all to be for free and when they could not get in, smash the fences and attack the people near by for telling them not to. Now look at the world the sixties geneation has created and if you Adultchilds truly think this world is better than the one my grandparents knew it is proof that the insanity we began is real as you don't recognize what you have lost.

Nice atmospheric vid. But a bit of a misnomer to title it 1969 as a lot of the footage was from 1970. I was at both gigs man.

Some of this footage was from the 1970 IOW Fest, and even some clips from Woodstock...maybe even Altamont
Maybe some was from Mars ! , who cares , its a great little account of those fantastic days .
