Had to grow first finger nails to help pop the trays out. Did get lock jaw at tray 8 and that wasn’t fun…had to use hard nail file to pop trays out. Would love a video on hints/ tricks…like eating out etc
I’m on Week 6 and I change my aligners every Week. I have one band. I have to wear mine for 2 years. I haven’t had ANY pain! The only tiny pain is when the aligner catches my gum when I’m putting the bottom in.
I 100% agree with the pain over time. I'm on tray 13/18 and pain only occurs when I switch trays, maybe for a day or two. And I also tend to 'cheat' with the drinking clear beverages and eating out. 22h is totally fine when you're just chilling at home but some days I tend to have them out for 3-4 hours but it's rare. I'm really looking forward to being done with aligners this summer/autumn. Your smile looks great already : )

Thank you!! The videos were posted on a bit of a delay, so I’m actually married about 11 months, but I’m only just finishing up my Invisalign 😂 I got a few sets of refinements with delays in between. My teeth were pretty perfect for the wedding though 👌🏻 just some minor tweaks on my bite, midline and closing some gaps. I hope yours is going ok!
I’ve just started on my Invisalign journey. I have a severe deep bite and I will have to wear aligners, and rubber bands, and who know what else, for about 2 years give or take. My orthodontist isn’t putting the attachments on until after my first 2 trays, and I’m on a two week tray rotation. I’ve came across your channel by accident, but I’m glad that I did. Yes, I think that your teeth are looking great! It’s a very noticeable difference and has already opened up your smile! To be honest, I’m genuinely skeptical about it for myself. I’m 52 years old and really believed that I’d need traditional braces. But after two different orthodontists told me that Invisalign would be my best option, I’m more hopeful. 🤞. One week down, and only 103 to go! 😂
@@AmericanDingo980 idk if the pain of removing and reinsertion of the aligner is the aligner itself or because of the attachments (I have 15?), but orajel max 4x... If you have pain, let it be your best friend! I put it in my trays before I reinsert them and it's been a blessing!
I'm on day 2 and I found your first video so relatable. Everyone else seems to be smooth sailing, no problems. My mouth HURT today. I rushed to the store after work for dental wax and other Invisalign goodies.
I’m doing clear aligners too and there isn’t really a such thing as “when are you due to finish”. You finish a set, get rescanned and get a new set of “refinements” until they decide you’re done. Really curious if she’ll manage before the wedding.
I can see how that would happen. The videos were recorded months before posting because of all the wedding planning.. so I’m married a few months.. and on my last set of refinements (hopefully). I’ll do a final recap video when I get my retainer fitted.

Agreed mine only hurts when taking them out changing trays, only because the pressure is released. I’m on a two week tray change, on tray 8 of 13 after refinement and waiting for a month for them to come in.
I’m in tray 8/23 and change every 10 days. I only take it out for bfast,lunch,dinner …find it the hardest to brush teeth inside restaurants. I only drink water with them in. Coffee time in the morning is my time they’re out the most
So how are you and your teeth now? Have you already done? Mine has just started yesterday and i have 20 trays. I didn’t like that my mouth doesn’t close when i wear trays. And that’s the worst part. My chin seems weird and longer. I hope it wont change my face shape …

Hi Elaine when did you start to notice a real change in your teeth? I’m on tray 6/31 and I’m obsessed with taking selfies etc.. I see a change then I don’t!! I’m on fortnight changes and I haven’t suffered pain slight discomfort at times but nothing more. Thank u. X
I think I really started to notice it when I was close to half way through. Selfies are hard to compare sometimes, because you can’t always get the exact same angle. But close to when I recorded this video, I was really noticing the changes. Hang in there!!
Hello Elaine... I started with my first aligner two days ago. How come you have 28 aligners and haven't still completed treatment after about 10months? I'm just curious. I have 26 aligners and I was kind of hopeful to be done within 7 months... It doesn't work like that?
It depends on how often you change trays. I was fortnightly.. to 10 day, then to 7. Plus I took a month off treatment for my wedding and then I have had to wait for refinement trays to be made etc.

hi may i know is it everytime you wearing the aligner is there gap between upper and lower infront teeth..because I had issue where everytime I'm wearing this aligner I have gap between infront of my teeth even though i wearing properly by chew the rubber but everytime I'm remove the aligner yes my teeth can close and no gap...sorry for my english

Braces hurt so much more. I got mine off a couple months ago, retainers don’t hurt at all and I wear them

My teeth were not as perfect as they are now by the time of the wedding, but they were pretty damn close 👌🏻

I wanted something to straighten my teeth that was the least obvious looking and to be able to take them out for special occasions (e.g. my hen party)
