It was great to see D213 Andania in such splendid form, she was the loco my Grandfather drove on his last shift before retiring from BR in the late 60's, we recently came across a photo taken of him leaning out of the cab at the end of his last shift. LSL were kind enough to allow my son and I to visit them in Crewe after the loco returned from another railtour to recreate the shot for our family album.

Why couldn’t they use the part D78 Stock train doors on the sides and also restructure the front face of the A60 and A62 stock which will include the class 507, class 508, class 313, class 314 and class 315 remix and make them all together and also redesign all of them into an overhead wire line trains and also make most of them into Five carriages per units and also having three Disabled Toilets on those Five cars per units A60 and A62 stock trains and also convert the A60 and A62 stock trains into a Gardner 6LXC, Cummins M11, Volvo B10M, Gardner 6LXB, Scania N112, Gardner LG1200 and Gardner 8LXB Diesel Engines and also put the Loud 7-Speed Voith Gearboxes even Loud 10-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Gearboxes in the A60 and A62 stock, class 507, class 508, class 313, class 314, and class 315 and also modernise the A60 and A62 stock and make it into 11 carriages per unit so it could have fewer doors, more tables, computers and mobile phone chargers? A Stock Train and 8 Disabled Toilets on those A stock trains. why couldn’t we refurbish and modernise the waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel and make it even much more Larger and extend it to the bank station, making it into a Triple-Track Railway Line so those Five countries such as Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden to convert the waterloo and city line Triple-Track Railway tunnel into a High-Speed Railway lines? The Third Euro tunnel Triple-Track Railway line to make it 11 times better for passengers so they could go from A to B. Then put the modernised 11 carriages per unit A Stock and put them on a bigger modernised Waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel so it could go to bank station to those Five countries such as Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden. The modernised refurbished 11 carriages per unit A stock could be a High Speed The Third Triple-Track Euro Tunnel Train So it is promising and 47 times a lot more possible to do this kind of project if that will be OK for London Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden. oh by the way, could they also tunnel the Triple-Track Railway Line so it will stop from Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex so that the Passengers will go to Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland and Sweden and also extend the Triple-Track Railway Line from the Bank to Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex Stations so that more people from there could go to Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden more Easily. Why couldn't they extend the Piccadilly Line and also build brand-new underground train stations so it could go even further right up to Clapton, Wood Street can they also make another brand new underground train station in Chingford and could they extend the Piccadilly Line and the DLR right up to Chingford? It's a sign of the times, but these days in BR Blue diesels look great because they're a novelty, when back in the day the uniformity of the livery was seen as boring. Nothing boring about them now, especially in such pristine condition. I wonder how many times a 40 rescued a 50 in BR days? Never perhaps? Those 20s looked superb too.
@@markknight1011 no it was always planned to take over the tour at preston anyway but it had ti couple straight onto the class 50 instead of the class 50 leaving and returning to crewe and then the class 40 joining.
In fairness the 50 completed its section of tour albeit just, 50050 also hadn’t worked a train in many months so it isn’t a surprise that it failed and in the circumstances it preformed well, but I do agree that the other locos looked, sounded and performed brilliantly, thanks for the comment! 👍

Words of advice: id recommend you slow down the movement of your camera and when you are recording parts of the train, record it for a bit longer as it seems very fast paced and i dont think the viewer would be able to keep up. But overall solid video👍👍
The crew member inside the class 50 said that it had no coolant left in it so couldn’t be started again so I presume something to do with that, thanks for the comment!
59050? 😀 Failing preserved locos on the mainline is what we don't need. Network rail will cease tours if the failures affect the running of standard trains. Hope this doesn't happen.
Network rail has had many, many, many reasons in the past to cease railtour operations, yet they haven't. One failed diesel that was so easily rescued won't stop everything heritage mainline indefinitely for the future.
@@vernongoodey5096 D1015 is allowed to go out solo. It ran the Westbury Wizzo to the East Somerset Railway and back solo. The only time a 50 has been a support engine on its charters this year was on the 1st of June to Paignton, other than that it has been a 57.

Ironically D1015 is only allowed out if a 50 is being dragged behind it! Champion has gone down on one engine and rescued a FAILED HST set
