I actually think the second half of season 3 was the show's peek storytelling. Episode 13 to the finale was incredibly gripping and rewarding.

I remember exactly what they're talking about here. Midway through season 3 it seemed like the writers had lost track and didn't know where they were supposed to go, and the show began to drag on. It wasn't until they negotiated that end date that it felt like LOST was getting back on track story wise. Season 4-6 have been great as a result, with a few slow moments here and there, but overall, the end product has turned out wonderfully.

Disagree. I thought season 3's pace was far better than season 2

I had been wondering why Lost was treading water - from a plot development viewpoint - between the end of season 2, and the first half of season 3. Another case of commercial interests usurping everything else.

If memory serves, there was only PART of Jack's tattoo explained in that episode. That always made me laugh, as it seemed they were saving the OTHER half of the tattoo for ANOTHER flashback "tattoo" episode, lol.

Manuel Alejandro Diaz Nagles an episode about Jack’s tattoo at the time people were complaining that it was a pointless episode, the women sitting next to him, who said ‘let it die’, co-wrote it and he was basically joking that its her fault. Hope that makes sense.

Well-written coherent stories do not require an entire RUclips video industry to explain the story. The LOST writers "shit the bed."
Yeah, you DID go down in flames(but not in a good way).no doubt the series started strong, but it's like everything,else-how did it end. The answer : not well. The proliferation of three four and five hour long video essays trying to explain what you were trying to say, is a testament, to how poorly executed the show was in the final three seasons.
