It is wrong to sanction or promote guys like Tony Ferguson. Simple as that. He’s finished and has unbelievable amounts of brain damage. He’s always going to want to fight and at some point, if you actually care about him, you have to stop enabling him. That doesn’t mean forcing him to not fight. It just means not promoting him. If he was 60 and wanted to fight would that be alright too?
Crazy thing is that his mental age is probably well beyond 60. Win or lose here, hes going to take some sort of head trauma and he just can't afford that anymore at all. He's a good candidate for a fatal brain bleed or something like that. What Dana needs to do is give him some of those submission only matches like what Glover did recently. Tony still gets to "fight" and doesn't have to take anymore head trauma
I love tony and I would always get excited when I’d see he was fighting or his fight would get announced. Now it’s just sadness when you see him getting a fight announced. His team needs to really chat with him and Dana needs to release him. Tony would fight until he was 70 if he was capable
I’ve been watching Tony since 2014, and it’s been pretty disturbing to remember all the success he had while now seeing him getting mauled in the cage. He’s a shell of himself, and he has dark days ahead of him. Scary to think about what he’ll be like in 10 years.
@@parkerletterman2051 That was hard to watch for sure. He was limp for a while. But I have to admit, it was a little funny seeing Tony laid out on the floor with Chandler doing constant backflips across the background. Like jeez dude read the room😂😂
Unfortunately you’re right. I absolutely loved watching Tony fight. He’s past his prime now and he needs to stop. He already has mental health issues and if he keeps taking damage to his noggin, it’s going to be bad later in life.
It's genuinely sickening. Tony is psychotically depressed and filled with guilt for the terrible things he's done and for losing fights... he's incredibly unstable and needs some real psychiatric help. All he wants is glory, and it's very sad that the UFC continues to feed this man CTE. It's literally inhumane. Tony truly believes that he's at the peak pinnacle of his career, he's barely a shadow of his oldself he can barely string together a sentence and its clear that his body is fatiguing. They are taking years off his life. I hope Tony Ferguson never steps foot near a fight again. RIP El Cucuy
Merely saying, "Tony Ferguson has lost his last 6 fights" does not add context. 2 KO/TKOs, 2 submissions, 2 decisions. 4 of those 6 losses have been finishes. In the Oliveira fight, he nearly got his arm broken. In the one with Chandler, he was soccer kicked into another dimension. Ferguson was out-struck in all 6 of those fights, and out-grappled in 5 of the 6.
Yes bro but people say “ but he looked good these last 3 he knocked down bobby and chandler”. The reality is even from the chandler fight a year ago he slowed down horrendously he looks like a old man out there he looks like my grandpa he cant do shit out there
I agree with this, Tony is a far cry from the savage he was…and I don’t care if he never claimed that undisputed title he damn well should have gotten the chance, and I recognize his as a legit champion. He fought everyone put in front of him, and was screwed over the chance to get a title shot over…and over again. This is honestly one of the most tragic falls from grace I’ve ever seen, and I truly just want Tony to retire win or lose. That double weight cut and that knee injury ruined him, not to mention all the hits he has sustained during this losing streak. I’m a Tony fan, I’ve been a fan since 2013…but enough is enough at this point.
Bruce Lee once toyed with the idea of opening up a batch of gyms -- kinda like a franchise. Jack LaLanne actually did it. Was thinking right now that maybe the UFC should start opening up gyms and offer management positions to fighters who are legends and who can't kick the fighting bug. Maybe the UFC could loan these fighters money and they could become franchise owners. Becoming a person in charge of a prestigious gym and being able to pass on their knowledge to a new generation of fighters might be very appealing to some of them -- enough to lure them away from the octagon for good. Perhaps also the gyms might make money for the UFC and help spread brand awareness, a bit like what the Apple retail stores did for Apple. Of course, opening up brand-new gyms fronted by UFC legends might put the squeeze on some local gyms, or put some of them out of business. But that might not be a downside for everyone... Dana, at least, would surely say: "Joke's on you, I'm into that shit!"
this is actually nice to see passionate advocacy for the fighters. Soon you’ll realize the contention between Dana the ufc and the fighters health is the same conflict we always see. Greedy ceos abusing their employees for a few extra bucks. Except fighters are contracted so their treated worse

Better to make money off a fight that Tony insists he wants than to pay him the same amount for no fight at all. It's also worth noting that the guys who insist on fighting are seldom stopped by the UFC letting them go. They generally move somewhere else and keep their show going. Fact is, it's actually very hard to stop someone who's committed to self-destruction. You see it in ordinary life all the time.

Tony is one of the toughest men to ever live and he may very well win this fight just on pure toughness and will. But regardless of the result, he is going to get hit and get hurt and take more damage. At his stage, he shouldn't be taking ANY damage. He should be healing now and hanging onto whatever is left of his health, not throwing away the last little bit of it.
How much is Tony getting paid for this fight? Isn't the pay higher as it's Paddy Pimblett? Everyone wants to fight Paddy, it's the highest profile fighter who isn't highly ranked at the top of their game. Let's not forget Tony is doing this to earn money.

I think the point with Tito and chuck is that even when the UFC puts their foot down and cuts a guy, these guys will just go to some other more desperate organization that is happy to be associated with their star power
On the other hand its entirely possible that UFC probably tried to buy out Tony's contract a while ago. But Tony being Tony may have denied it along with any lesser known opponents. So UFC gave him what he wants.
I don't get this weird backlash on this matchup. People are acting like this is a Diaz vs Khamzat situation. It's freaking Paddy... now they're both bad but it's 50/50 and Tony wants to fight. If UFC won't book him he'll just get booked elsewhere in another promotion
It’s not necessarily about the danger. It’s more about giving paddy a lay up fight and obviously trying to build his name off of Tony. It’s just shameless by the ufc. Everyone knows what they are doing here.
It doesn’t matter if he wants to fight. If he was 60 years old would you profit off of his health ? Is it morally okay to sanction it? The answer is No. Tony is always going to want to fight. I’m bashing the UFC for sanctioning it when he’s clearly finished
I actually really hope Tony gets starched by paddy because maybe that will be enough maybe then people will finally put a stop to the madness. Because if Tony wins that’s at least another three fights for him and presumably against someone a lot better than paddy.
I agree that Tony shouldn't be fighting. But I don't think the set-up to "feed" Tony to Pimblet is that obvious. I think he will most probably win over Paddy and leave on a high note, and the UFC is risking to kill Paddy's star ascension.
I’ve been saying for a while he needs to stop fighting. After his last fight I’ve seen a bunch of “Tony needs to retire” docs on RUclips and I though they’d finally retire him. Then they announce this fight and I was mind blown. People being excited for it blows my mind even more. Great video, I agree with all your points. It’s sad Dana and the UFC can’t see it that way and continue to ruin this man’s brain, and I don’t even like Tony.
I have a very bad gut feeling that Tony Ferguson will the the first ever fighter to die inside the UFC Octagon. Idk i just have this very bad feeling which i just cant ignore.
Someone should say that losing streaks like this can only happen when the UFC has a reason to continue losing this much. Other fighters have been cut for less
I love Tony, he's my all time favorite fighter. He's the baddest man to never be an Undisputed champ. But I wish to God he would retire. He's far past his prime, he clearly has issues outside the octagon, and he dosnt need to keep taking abuse. I don't wanna see him end up dead or CTE ridden beyond repair.
This is true but I think it would gain them a lot of respect for having certain boundaries. Being near sighted isn’t always the best thing for business. If they had some kind of rule to where if you go on some insane loss streak after a long career, you’re out. That way, these fighters would be less damaged when they retire. If all of these guys have horrible brain damage when it’s all said and done it’s going to be a horrible look. Ofc you can’t prevent brain damage in this sport, it’s going to happen, but trying to at least diminish it is what’s important.
Finally a channel that actually cares about the fighters and tells it how it is. I'm a To y fan but I hate seeing him try his best and not get it anymore, the day the UFC provides health insurance I'll believe they care about humans.
I don't understand the title? Tony Ferguson gets to do whatever he wants to do he can fight or not fight UFC is a business not a nanny service if Tony wants to fight they're gonna let him fight your problem is with Tony you wanna tell him not to fight it's not the U F C 's job to tell him not to fight
We aren't promoting Tony. We know it all and the best about Tony is that his time has passed. We are making badass edits, shorts, and videos about Tony Ferguson BECAUSE HE IS TONY FERGUSON. He deserves to be known and respected. He is one of those guys, where when God is making them, he is thinking of ascending a man infused with perseverance like the Devil. To SHOOK the World, of the Power and Capability of God. He is one of the men carrying the Lightweight Division on his back. Everyone who likes fighting should know about "El Cucuy". Because he is a terrifying mfking badass.
Yes, you are going to let him continue to fight because people have a right to choose their own destiny. They don’t need you being their mommy and daddy.
Bro fr, its insane to see Dana say that Tony looked good in his last few fights and that he wouldnt even ask Tony to retire if he lost, such a stark contrast from how he talked about BJ Penn, Liddell, Silva etc. Btw I peeped the Tony Soprano jumpsuit dude damn sonnnn
Yet you're here making videos to get views off his name and downfall. Of course the ufc doesn't care about tonys health no more they do for any other fighters. Tony wants to be in the ring for whatever reason. Its not our place to tell another man how to run his life or career. I dont want to see him lose again anymore than you do but i will watch it either way.
Well why should we give a damn about Tony. We aren’t his parents. We aren’t some charity for him. He’s a grown ass man who has control over his own life. Why are people acting like he’s some little kid or some victim, he’s literally a rich adult male. He can MAKE HIS OWN DECISIONS without us crying about it. What? Is it our responsibility to hold his hand through his career and guide it perfectly for him? Does the UFC stand for United Ferguson Charity? Quit crying. We are acting like he’s some 9 year old with cancer and we should all feel bad for him. Dude literally has the ability to do whatever he wants. Guess what? Tony Ferguson DOESNT OWN THE COMPANY. It just disgusts me how soft these people are crying over an adult male. You want him to just be given money for nothing? Get over it.
You should be thankful to Dana for running the UFC like a machine which allows you to make so much content. But if you prefer good luck with content for eaglefc, bellator, triad, one and the pfl. Talk about being ungrateful!!
that fight with bobby green was really hard to watch. tony, trying so hard, almost a grimace on his face, barely able to hold his own. only to get choked out
It's kind of tragic. Tony will never let go. He was never the same after that Gaethje fight. If he loses the UFC has to cut him. He needs to find something outside of fighting. It's clear this is who he is and he's hanging on because he's unsure who he is outside of fighting.
Even if he is washed and done with winning ways in the UFC, he is still a contracted fighter.WIth that in mind wouldn't it be logical for the UFC to try and get the most out of the Tony Ferguson name before he is gone from the company? I think the "passing of the torch" system is a great way to build up future contenders like a Paddy Pimblett the same way Anderson Silva passed the torch to Israel Adesanya.I wouldn't think a billion dollar company cares more about one fighter that's out the door than a fighter with a lot of potential, a win in this fight will do wonders for Paddy and make him way more popular than before.
When I was barely getting into the sport I watched Tony/Barboza on TV and I instantly became a fan of MMA and of Ferguson. I watched all his fights after that and bought every ppv he was on. Ngl I shed a tear during 249 and I knew he wouldn't be the same after. These past few years have been painful and I really hope Tony walks away.
I don't think Dana wanted this, there were rumours about Tony insisting in fighting even since the Chandler KO, and Dana is known for asking fighter to retire, they just using him to make money because he won't step out, it is what it is.
It’s not really the UFC’s decision. The athletic commission would need to step in or Tony would need to retire. The ufc is contractually obliged to offer fighters fights. I guess they could buy out his contract but the ufc doesn’t really do that.
I just discovered your video from the recommended cause I'm a huge Tony fan and watch a lot of Tony. I was excited for this fight cause I love Tony and thought he had a good chance of winning, but you made a lot of good points and wish Tony would retire at least after this fight. I don't want to see Tony get messed up.
Which is weird, he is one of the most unique and fan favourite fighters of all time, blades and shades. I guess uncle Dana wanted value out of that 500k to show contract they gave Ferguson.
Actually skipping this fight when I watch the card..after the Nate fight, hard to watch Tony anymore. Was my favorite active fighter for years, the managing of his career has been hell of a rollercoaster
It’s sad how a young buck like paddy who has a long career ahead of him ducks all of the challenging fights and chooses a fucking old man who is closer to a vegetative state every fight at this point
If you cut Tony from the UFC, Tony will just try to become a bare knuckle fighting champion. Tony doesn't quit. Tony can't quit. Tony can't be made to quit.
I dont hate this matchup, but I do hate how they line up these old heroes against the young fighters. I thought the Nate fight was closer to the kind of fight he should be taking.
I'm genuinely afraid of a Chris Benoit situation happening, Tony has already had some things happen in his past with those schizophrenic episodes, his recent DUI, growing older will only make things worse
Bro. This is not UFC responsability. Tony is a adult. He's not forced to fight. His family should help him. UFC is a company that promotes fights. If himself did decides. Do you think that not fight in UFC will stop him? He will fight for the Bareknucle, boxing, or even in the streets.
rare Lucas W i've seen a lot of people saying that they hope that he wins and can retire, but we all know that ain't happening lol, he's the type of guy that needs to be stopped cause otherwise he'll keep fighting, and him winning would only make him more delusional it's so annoying how Dana was asking Weidman to retire during the press conference, but at the same time he'll come out and try to hype a Tony fight?

If they had some kind of rule to where if you go on some insane loss streak after a long career, you’re out. That way, these fighters would be less damaged when they retire. If all of these guys have horrible brain damage when it’s all said and done it’s going to be a horrible look. Ofc you can’t prevent brain damage in this sport, it’s going to happen, but trying to at least diminish it is what’s important.
@@lucastracymma8764 some good points but Tony has some inputs into all this and could’ve walked away. But he didn’t so he should get some blame also.
Facts man because we all know tony would beat pimblett easy in his prime
Im not mad at this matchup. If Tony can't be competitive with Paddy, he doesn't belong in the UFC.
You’re right man, I hope someone saves him from himself .
Btw I peeped the Tony Soprano jumpsuit dude damn sonnnn
did not expect to see you here
Drake needs to bet on Paddy the Fatty then Tony should retire on a win.
lucas you been spitting lately
I just don’t understand how can you cut woodley when he was clearly finished but not cut Tony after 6 losses in a row
He's been fighting for so long He's going to do what he wants to do simple as that.
i want tony to win, but like, after seeing the chandler ko live, im not sure if its worth it
Well why should we give a damn about Tony.
Talk about being ungrateful!!
that fight with bobby green was really hard to watch. tony, trying so hard, almost a grimace on his face, barely able to hold his own. only to get choked out
They should’ve done Tony vs saint denis
I saw this match up and thought "Tony wants to die in the octagon. " and I'm convinced UFC want that to.
It's kind of tragic. Tony will never let go. He was never the same after that Gaethje fight. If he loses the UFC has to cut him. He needs to find something outside of fighting. It's clear this is who he is and he's hanging on because he's unsure who he is outside of fighting.
Bruce Buffer shouldn't call him "El cucuy" anymore. He doesn't deserve it
Even if he is washed and done with winning ways in the UFC, he is still a contracted fighter.WIth that in mind wouldn't it be logical for the UFC to try and get the most out of the Tony Ferguson name before he is gone from the company? I think the "passing of the torch" system is a great way to build up future contenders like a Paddy Pimblett the same way Anderson Silva passed the torch to Israel Adesanya.I wouldn't think a billion dollar company cares more about one fighter that's out the door than a fighter with a lot of potential, a win in this fight will do wonders for Paddy and make him way more popular than before.
If dana really cared about Tony he would force him to retire like he did to chuck Liddell
Ferguson, TKZ, and Frankie Edgar are the ones that come to kind of legends that got done dirty to promote other fighters. Pretty gross.
What Dana did to Shogun doesnt get talked about enough. Basically served him up on a silver platter in front of his home country
Tony is the classic case of:”oh he’s a lil weird but I’m sure he can control himself”
All we need is for Lucas to predict Paddy to win…. Tony you still have a chance my boy
Tony's wife was overheard saying "if he fights again I'm taking the kids to my sistas"
Tony dying on his shield is him literally dying lol
It’s not really the UFC’s decision. The athletic commission would need to step in or Tony would need to retire. The ufc is contractually obliged to offer fighters fights. I guess they could buy out his contract but the ufc doesn’t really do that.
Props for talking about this needed to be said
I just discovered your video from the recommended cause I'm a huge Tony fan and watch a lot of Tony.
My guy Lucas embraced his origins and pulled up in the track suit. Lucas Soprano
Bro you kw if the ufc cuts him, he is just gonna sing to bkf. Or bellator.😢 he is gonna die on his shield sadly
This video needs to be shared with every official UFC and ESPN channel
They should've just given him a retirement fight and have a rematch with Gaethje
They can’t force him to retire and Gaethje would beat him worse than their first fight
Gaethje nearly killed tony their first fight it would be even worse second time
Ferguson vs Gaethje would be the equivalent of taking Tony out back with a shotgun.
Gaethje would actually kill him this time. Tony would be dead on the canvas at the end of that fight.
Ur a psychopath 😂
This fight should not be happening!
He won't remember his career in a decade.
Tony Ferguson is the type of guy to go on a losing streak to test his fans loyalty
Ok I get it and all but don't yell into the mic
rare Lucas W
i've seen a lot of people saying that they hope that he wins and can retire, but we all know that ain't happening lol, he's the type of guy that needs to be stopped cause otherwise he'll keep fighting, and him winning would only make him more delusional
it's so annoying how Dana was asking Weidman to retire during the press conference, but at the same time he'll come out and try to hype a Tony fight?
