I love any performance that Benedict has participated. I have followed his acting since I first saw him in Sherlock. I admire his passion for his craft and you can see it in his acting.
It’s a shame that Martin and Benedict are no longer close colleagues due to comments by viewers. They both had a special working relationship in Sherlock-that’s why Sherlock was such a success. Martin and Benedict had the chemistry; both contributed to Sherlock.

I love him as an actor but my favourite performance of his will always be Captain Martin Crieff in the BBC Radioplay "Cabin Pressure". Having met the man in 2013 I can confirm that he is as nice as they come and that he is such a chatterbox. I love him to pieces and hope to see him work for a very long time.

You suspend disbelief and develop your characters into tangible living beings by your expression and subtle body ( sometimes not) language. Many times tragic and beautiful at the same moment. Quite extraordinary. Your voice is mesmerizing and controlled, deep and resonant.

When he did Dr Strange it was such a treat to see him along with Benedict Wong together..I mean how many Benedicts are there? I just really enjoy seeing him work.I loved that his parents played his parents in Sherlock and was heart broken when his landlady passed away in real life and to find out that she and his mother were great friends..So happy he has a wife and children now..

Correction: He is not a direct descendant of Richard III. He is a descendant of the Plantagenets and thus related to Richard III. He is very closely related to him, though. That was mentioned in the articles around the time he played Richard III. This is the 2nd video where I've heard this, so had to correct it. It's funny how people's memories work. Fabulous actor. I became a fan slowly, but now, I think he's great. And he seems like a truly nice guy, too. He's done a great job in every character he has portrayed. Good thing he didn't choose Arnold as his last name! I don't think Americans would warm up to a Benedict Arnold! One was one more than we wanted! LOL. And I think his female fans should be called Cumberbunnies, not what they are called now. Just a thought.

I wish I could have had some of the experiences he had. I had a special 9 months teaching in China, but that's it. Most of my life was being ridiculed by family and classmates, leading to a near suicide and helping prop up family and friends. Even now at times I feel trapped and long for more me time. My family doesn't understand this. Maybe it's a mid life crisis. I have spent 16 of those dealing with a special needs kid and before that, taking care of my mother in law who was great but later descended into dementia like my mother and I got bornt out dealing with social workers and others with my brilliant first kid's issues, my special needs son's issues, mother in law's issues, most my mom's issues and the situations with my relatives and my husbands'. Now I feel deep burnout, but keep going. I wish had written some books like I wanted to, participate in some musicals (though I can't dance only sing), did way more painting, more overseas teaching, some sculpting and could go back to the university and take some more classes. I don't want to take care of people anymore except my husband when he gets older. I need a break. I'm biurnt out. I'd love to work again but my Ehlers Danlos is beginning to wreck my joints and my left eye is blind.

this is excellent but you do get a good bit wrong. No way Martin Freeman would have ever been his best man. Fantasy, not fact. Sherlock's writer is Mark Gatiss- Gate isss, not Gateese. His ex-girlfriend was Olivia Poulet, pool-lette not poulay. She's not French. Don't you do your homework first? You showed him with his second child & called it his first. Check out real names & facts next time.

Sooo lots of good history here… (minus one massive omission noted below) but good lawd son you need a new writer. There are so many grammatical gaffs and awkward segues I don’t even know where to begin.
It sounds like you hired a writer who writes in another language and then feeds it through Google Translate. Bad writing. Just bad.
Edit: 38:17*face palm* Dr. Strange made him famous “in Hollywood” in 2016?????
How can this biography completely skip over his role as the infamous Star Trek Villain Khan Noonien Singh A.K.A. “KKKKHHHAAANNNN” in 2013’s “Star Trek Into Darkness”???? This put him “on the map” in Hollywood.

Reading through these comments you have made mutiple errors in this video. One notable one for me being a photo shown of the incorrect school. You showed a photo of a secondary school I'm West Sussex called Christ's Hospital (the first photo) He never attended here he went to Harrow School. Most of the other comments refer to mistakes as well. I apresmciare you are just human but you're miss informing people and offending them. Thanks

40 Something failed because it wasn't funny. Cumberbatch was good in it.

You totally mispronounce the name Gatiss. The emphasis should be on the first syllable, which according to the man himself should be pronounced Gay, because that's what he is.

Excuse me? Alan Turing condemned to homosexuality?
    No.
He was condemned because he was gay. That was something that was simply a part of who he was, not an affliction to be "cured."
