Every moment of this is a masterpiece. So real, so pure. It gives my soul permission to be. Bless all y’all for it. It’s a touchstone I can always pull up on my phone. World is crazy, music is good. Esmé, you have a gift. Thank you for being vulnerable and strong enough to share with us. Godspeed.
Dude these audiotree sessions are always so amazing. You've turned me on to some really amazing artists; I'd never heard of Esmae Patterson (sp?- forgive me) until just now and I'm fairly certain her voice and writing just changed the course of my next week or two; what a gem. Thank you for this. And to the artist; thank you for the inspiration.. I loved everything about that set. I'm a musician myself and I found something so pure and raw in your performance; painful, but playful, but dynamic. I found you to be quite moving. Thanks for the movement at 5 in the morning. Soul might wake up today and do some writing. Much love!! ❤😊🎸
Why haven’t I seen this yet!?! My god, every time I watch Esme perform I fall in love. What absolutely control of her amazing talent she has. She’s absolutely mesmerizing in front of a microphone,
Knowing she was a tragically un-hip band geek in high school just makes me love her that much more! As a theatre and chorus geek -- and a band geek before high school (I am _not_ marching in the TN summer heat!) -- I can totally relate to her.
That's the way a set of drums is supposed to sound. And that's the way a female singer/songwriter is supposed to make me fall out of my chair. What a treat this is!
I would never be able to play drums if Esme is singing... not only do I not know how to play drums, but would be to mesmerized by her to keep the rhythm....
Weird. The questions on what clothes the artists bring or pack with them was weird and worse than when an ad cuts into a beautiful song. I am so grateful for Audiotree. So, i'll just erase the memory of that interviewer question. Esmé and the accompanying drummer are wonderful. Honest and wonderful.
Homie asks lots of odd questions in nonchalant ways. Offering musicians sleek little windows to say something clever or subtle- adding tidbits to the lore. I appreciate that about him.
I wish the lyric in the first song was....aren't I' , I would of understood sooner. lol😍 Great stuff. loads of character in her voice...face...eyes....lyrics, love it too much.
Wow she has to be one of the most charismatic singers I've ever seen.
I'll be the first to get her pregnant. Don't worry.

I know, so sad.

I loved this so much. She makes me feel like I’m in my own movie
I’ve probably watched this entire set at least 30 times over the years and every single time I’m left with the same feeling. I’m absolutely in love.
Her smile is absolutely electrifying
like your screen name!!!
Just something about her. I love her with Shakey Graves on "Dearly Departed".
Jonny V me too! :)
Wow. just here because of her Rig Rundown and never made the connection to Shakey Graves - that is a great tune and she definitely make the tune.
Shakey brought me here. I'm in love again. . . . again. She has such raw energy.
it;s the hair.

She is like a female Jack White (not comparing the guitar skills, but def the vibe and rawness). So cool and talented :)

¨Light of day¨ is perfect.
I would never be able to play drums if Esme is singing... not only do I not know how to play drums, but would be to mesmerized by her to keep the rhythm....
the world needs:
a band that consists of Esme Patterson & Shakey Graves + Genevieve and Chris Faller from the Company of Thieves era

the best in the world, such pure talent,
What a Badass 🥰
I've never heard of this woman, and a minute and a half in I'M HOOKED
Portland, Holy shit what a suprise
So effing awesome
Every time I watch this I'm amazed by her talent, amazed the song craft, and amazed at the stupid clothes questions the host throws out.
Can't not keep coming back.
Better off Dead is my favorite movie!!!
If you like this, you will totally love her next album, We Were Wild - extremely excellent stuff!'
The headphone toss was too much-- heart attack.
I wish the lyric in the first song was....aren't I' , I would of understood sooner. lol😍
Great stuff. loads of character in her voice...face...eyes....lyrics,
love it too much.

I love love you for doing this
It's like every song is a story she tells with her entire being.
Great!
Smoking talent! Thanks Audiotree
Light Of Day is so much more captivating here than on the album. It should have been recorded just like this.
Wowza!
Beautiful!!
Totalmente demais
I think that drummer is actually Andy Dick
Mixed with Howard Stern
Braden Westerhoff hhah! Them two
And with the Hanson bro's
..and Dana Carvey's Garth. "Party on, Wayne!"
Andy Dick? I thought I found Waldo =(
Sweet.
The host is obsessed with asking band about their pants when they tour...
i mean thats kinda the theme of audiotree, they dont ask serious questions usually
wow this is really good
Oh shit I stumbled upon some good music here
Wow listening
i feel like shes the most chill woman ever, like she can be the cool relax grandma one can ever have lol
Wow! Great voice, awesome music, beautiful woman.
