Thank you @homlessbrother. What a nice thing to say. Peter Joanie and I try to get things down as accurately as we can, si I appreciate your comment. And I will use your time stamp. Hopefully you can see us live one day. All the very bast to you, Will
I just came upon your video. I am a huge Peter, Paul & Mary fan. I enjoyed your performance a lot. I have all of their albums, some are LP's. The places they played at were called "coffeehouses", not "coffee shops" in Greenwich Village in New York. I used to go to many a coffeehouse back many years ago where folksingers, poets performed and they were not coffee shops. The folk singers gravitated to coffeehouses to play or listen to folk music. Yes, there is a difference. I have been to many a coffee shop for breakfast, lunch or dinner all over USA and never heard a folk singer or group perform there. At night I went to a coffeehouse to hear folk music. 😊
Hi, I wanted to say many thanks for an amazing and loving tribute to Peter, Paul and Mary. Each song recreates the phrasing and harmonising and is a joy to behold. Congratulations. Oh I spent an hour today putting some timings in using 'page anchors'. Will likely do Part Two later. By the way I loved the story of you meeting Peter Yarrow (one of my ABSOLUTE heros!!). Such a great little anecdote at 19:30. Thank you SO much - from the south coast of England. We never did that one as a group Jules. I did play it on solo performances. But from this live video you may be able to glean some guitar positions of Noel and Peter. ruclips.net/video/0OCnHNk2Hac/видео.htmlsi=2y_l4W4VtbE4OoOK
@@JulesPellattMessyStudySessions I did some checking and here is what I found. Peter has a capo on 3rd fret starting with a bard G fingering then down to a bard Bm fingering then Am D7 then to regular G. Noel on the other hand has a capo on the 1st fret and stays on A for two bars then to Bm then E then back to A That’s their intro and chorus progression. Interesting because Noel stays on that A (one chord) while Peter uses two different chords. You'll hear the similarity. And that was their genus!
@@WillKruger wow! That’s fantastic, Will!! I really appreciate the trouble you’ve gone to. Will let you know when we’ve worked something up. Thanks again!
🥰 Thanks for the memories! Some of the first songs we learned to play as teenagers...

The guy who plays Peter looks like Peter Yarrow and talks like Noel Paul Stookey. ❤❤❤

This was a superb rendition of the PPM "Don't Think Twice" - excellent vocal harmonies!
My favorite PPM song is "Don't think twice, its alright" and they nailed it. Great job!
