I started on an R7 as a first bike. I took my time to learn the bike and never dropped it or anything. It's definitely doable, but only if you are responsible and spend the time to safely test your limits in a parking lot :)
That’s what I’m planning to do…I have experience riding dirt bikes and also I know how to drive manual in cars I hope that helps me in this new journey plus I love the looks of the R7 I was between R3 or R7 but I think if I take my time and spend a lot of time in the parking lot I should be fine….
Was the grom your first ?, ive been thinking of getting one as my first, although deep down I do want a 600cc. But I also want to stay alive, better play the long game.
i made the mistake of starting on an R3 and not fully learning everything and getting good and comfortable with riding. Now im on an R6 and struggle really bad to make right hand turns from a stop. but i can do left.. Do you have any advice to get better or just to find an empty parking lot and practice over and over again?
Starting on a r3 isnt a mistake I think you just jumped to a r6 to fast honestly because I started on a mt03 which is almost the same bike and when I made the switch to the r6 it was like nothing
@@x2Linky yeah they are some nice bikes I had mine for a little bit more then a year but honestly just practice more slow turns are always gonna be way harder but I think you’ll make it man
Not really. A 600 is an intermediate level bike. However with your background you can just buy a used mt07 and ride it around for a season or 5-6 months. Then you can sell it for little to no loss and pick up a 600. However 600s are really meant for track and you should only buy them if track is something you want to do. You should also check insurance stuff like what is the cost? does it cover any track use? Are you willing to walk away from 10k if it is totaled on track, stuff like that.
Should be fine mate. Been riding motocross since I was a kid and hoped on a 600 for a year and moved to a 1000 and have had no issues. Road riders will never admit how skilled off-road riders are and our able to control a throttle.
You’ll definitely be fine, motocross is not easy and much harder to have smooth throttle control. You would absolutely be fine on a 600. It’s all about self control.
I don't know why people want you to waste money on a smaller bike when you can easily start on nice size bike as long as you are responsible and have taken a bike class at your BMV. My 1st bike at 12yrs old was a cr125. My first street bike was a Busa and I never dropped that or any bike after that excluding the times i got hit by cars not paying attention to the road. And that happened on my cruisers. 😅 Crazy car drivers. Smh 🙄. But as long as you know the concept of shifting and leaning and breaking you can ride whatever. Don't waste money on a small bike unless you have money to toss around. Cause you will feel salty hanging around the bigger bikes. Don't try keeping up with them regardless until you get your skills and confidence up. That's all my opinions and experiences. La Peace ✌🏾

I have the r7 and I love it
I have an R7. Id love your take on the RS660 - I'm thinking of changing to either that or the ZX10R.

@@x2Linky get some frame sliders or something I mean they don’t help a ton but they will help
I started on the R3 great starter bike and now the R7, a, Amazing bike but I would want a R6 for the speed and sound
What bike would you recommend I take the drivers part in a week and I’ve only been on one twice. Trying to get into riding for work and traveling.
What is the model of your pants ?
How do you do that shift with no clutch
It’s a quick shifter once you use it you’ll fall in love with it so smooth
I have been doing motocross for 4, coming up on 5 years, do you think I could ride a 600 well enough

@Gintama6969 show me where I said that. Some 600s are not super bikes. Do you even ride? Lol
